Chapter 7 Let's make a bet!

Sophie King kicked away the stones on the road to vent her dissatisfaction.

As a police officer with a sense of justice in her heart, she is not afraid of danger. On the contrary, whenever there is danger, she wants to run wherever she goes.

But every time she couldn't get what she wanted.

Either there are other tasks for her to do, or she is simply not allowed to participate in the task.

Sophie King knows exactly why this happens.

But she was not happy about it.

Delayed justice is not justice, and belated father's love is certainly not father's love. In the first ten years of her life, she had never been exposed to the role of "father", and she still managed to make it through her life on her own.

But the moment she successfully graduated from the police academy with honors, her "father" appeared. As soon as he appeared, he wanted to trample all her efforts so far with money and status, as if to tell her that everything she had paid for this,

Time, tears, and sweat are all nothing compared to the oil produced by a wellhead in a day.

It is reasonable for Sophie to be angry. She categorically refused all contact with the oil tycoon and went about her own business... But, obviously, this was just her wishful thinking.

"You look angry, ma'am."

A voice suddenly sounded.

"Yeah, I'm so angry now that I really want to find someone to fight."

Sophie looked angrily in the direction of the sound like an angry lioness.

With her appearance, she will always experience being entangled and harassed, but the rose is beautiful but also has thorns. The fact that no one has been able to pick it off so far shows how hard and sharp the thorns on her body are.

Then, she froze.

Anyone who originally expected to see a guy with vulgar eyes and a lustful face, but instead saw a handsome guy who was so handsome that his breath stopped and his heart stopped, would probably have this reaction.

When the psychological expectations are not high, but seeing a top one is undoubtedly the strongest contrast.

"Can I invite you for a drink?" Anxi asked with a smile, very confident. He had already replaced his entry with "is a good person" and added "looks better than Xu Gong", and he could say it all

The word "stable", after all, according to common sense and the experience accumulated from the novels I have read before, the protagonist takes action...

"No." Sophie refused without hesitation. Anxi's face only made her expression less disgusting - it was still cold, and then she passed Anxi and continued walking forward.

Anxi's smile froze.

I promised that if a handsome guy invites a pretty girl to that station, he will accept her and bow to her. No, he throws himself into his arms? Why is it not working for me?

Or is it that times have changed, and the nympho type who throws herself into someone’s arms because of her good looks is no longer popular?

It is impossible that my appearance is not high enough.

Anxi's thoughts were racing, and with his logical thinking, it was quite normal to think of these things. Over the years, he had developed a habit - thinking about something would not affect the actions at hand at all.

"Then I think you might be interested in this video."

Sophie stopped in her tracks, turned around with a cold face, and the words she spat out were full of threats: "You'd better not be looking for excuses to stalk me, because I'm in a bad mood right now..."

Sophie couldn't help but stop mid-sentence because she saw the gun in Anxi's hand.

"I bet you will definitely be interested..." Anxi shook the gun in his right hand and the camera in his left hand.

He is not the kind of person who will be led by a woman. It is true that he is good-looking, but it has nothing to do with him. When gentle words are useless, using a gun to solve the problem is of course the fastest - when there is a relationship

To another extent this "gun" has two meanings and both are true.

Mainly, Anxi didn't want to waste time. His time was very tight, and he had a lot to do before the angry Brian got the results of the interrogation over there.

"Who are you?" Sophie asked.

"Just watch." Anxi threw the camera to her.

Sophie caught the camera, probably with some thought, but she gave up her plan after seeing the muzzle of the gun in Anxi's hand shaking as a warning.

After all, this is not a novel, where everyone is specialized in dodging bullets. In reality, a gun that is ten steps away is fast and a gun that is within ten steps is fast and accurate.

So she operated and played the video from the camera.

A man on a rough electric chair, his nose full of tears, moaned with despair: "The construction site...the female branch of the female construction site, many people know...they will be sent there to be screened..."

A man sitting on a chair waving a cigar: "A cigar like this is all the value an inferior product can create..."

The gunshot rang out and the man fell to the ground wailing.

Then there is a long shot, entering from the door of a long aluminum plate house, a messy and small space, a dark environment, confused moans, disheveled, weak women... inferior goods.

When the video ended, Sophie's fingers holding the camera turned pale and her breathing became rapid.

"Shocking, isn't it?" Anxi said, "It's just a rough cut and abbreviated version. Editing in this era still requires some effort and time, not to mention that I haven't collected all the materials yet... But it will probably be done soon, respect.

Please look forward to."

"What are you going to do?" Sophie looked at An Xi with complicated eyes.

"It's not what I want to do. Our relationship has not reached the point where we can communicate about such things, but if you want to ask me 'what did you do', I would be happy to answer." Anxi said.

"Officer Sophie, you must be angry because you can't go to the scene to help with tonight's big incident? Well, the instigator is right in front of you now. Doesn't it look very different? I don't think so either. After all, I am a good person.

...How can a good person do bad things, right?"

Speaking of this, Anxi paused slightly, with a smile on his face. The darkness in the alley and the intersection of the street lights outside happened to separate it. The smile that usually gave people sunshine and comfort now took on an unspeakable... weirdness.

Charming.

"How do you think they're going to report this? Officer Sophie? Will I be a hero, or a criminal?"

"...With this video, I can help you get rid of the guilt." Sophie hesitated for a while, not knowing what she was thinking about or what kind of decision she made, and said.

Contrary to Sophie's expected reaction, Anxi retracted her smile and shook her head.

"boring."

"What?" Sophie was stunned.

"What I want is not to get rid of the guilt. That would be too boring, and you can't do it either." Anxi spread his hands, and then scratched his head in distress.

"Idealists are really troublesome, so let me help you break it. Let me help you see the real world clearly... That's it!"

He waved his hands and his eyes seemed to be shining.

"Sophie King, let's make a bet!"
