Chapter 2 Reunion

After getting off the taxi, Li Mu carried a suitcase and stood in front of a luxury community on Jianshe Street in Beimang City.

After registering at the door, Su Li entered the Bai Cui Community, feeling indescribably excited.

Ten years have passed in the blink of an eye, and I am no longer the poor boy I was back then, and this place is no longer the dilapidated shantytown it was back then.

The location of Bai Cui Community is not in the city center, but it was demolished relatively late, so it can be considered a high-end community.

Looking at the tall buildings rising on the street, Li Mu searched for a long time before he found the number 6566 the old man mentioned.

When he arrived at the door, Li Mu couldn't help but feel a little uneasy. In the past ten years, the money he had sent home was not a small amount, but all of it should have been used to support the studies of his sisters.

How does Lao Li have the money to live in such a big villa?

After hesitating for a moment, he did not rush up to ring the doorbell, but dialed his father's phone again.

Unexpectedly, just as the phone rang, the window of the balcony of the villa was pushed open, and an old man with a red face shook his fan and said excitedly:

"Little plum, is that you?"

Among the eight adopted children, only Li Mu, who had no name or surname, followed Lao Li and was always regarded by the old man as his biological son.

His eyesight was very good, and when he looked at the long-awaited white-haired old man in front of him, tears could not help but well up in his eyes.

Men never shed tears easily. This good man, who had never been afraid in the hail of bullets, could not help but blur his vision with tears when he saw his old father.

"Old man!"

Li Mu couldn't help but scream.

The elderly man threw away the fan and rushed back in a hurry. He knew that Father Li was going to open the door for him personally and welcome him home.

Soon, the door of the luxurious villa was opened, and Li Mu rushed forward and hugged the adoptive father who was the closest to him in the world.

The old man's eyes were filled with tears. He squeezed Li Mu's strong arms and kept shaking them and said:

"You bastard, you still know how to come back! It's been ten years, and you, a cruel bad boy, have grown so big. Where have you been over the years? You miss me so much."

Looking at the old man who didn't know whether he was crying or laughing, Li Mu patted the back of Old Li's head, whose temples were already gray, and said excitedly:

"I'm back now!"

"Okay, okay! You have grown into a young man! When you come back this time, you are not allowed to leave again!"

"Let's go! Come in, your room will be reserved for you!"

Before going home, Li Mu imagined countless times of reunion with his family.

When he actually came back, a spontaneous sense of belonging instantly filled his heart.

As Lao Li grabbed his arm and dragged him into the house, Li Mu never took his attention away from Lao Li.

The old man's body is very strong, but his legs and feet are not very agile, after all, he is old.

Going straight through the living room to the second floor, Lao Li pointed to a room filled with photos of his childhood and said:

"This is your room. Every time your sisters come back, they will come here for a walk."

Looking at the furnishings in the room, Li Mu's eyes couldn't help but moisten again.

It has been so long, and there are still the Water Margin cards he accumulated as a child and a broken Rubik's Cube that has been played with and faded in the room.

Pushing the suitcase aside, Li Mu picked up the Rubik's Cube with two missing color plates, held it in his hand, and said to Lao Li:

"When I come back this time, I won't leave. I will support your old man in his old age."

After hearing Li Mu's words, the old man burst into tears and said:

"Good boy, what have you been doing all these years? You must have suffered a lot, right? Look at your tan, you were much fairer when you were little than you are now."

"I have saved all the money you have sent back over the years for you. I will wait for you to come home and prepare to marry you a wife."

Li Mu was a little stunned by his father's words, and he asked:

"How do you know..."

"You think I'm a fool, old man? At that time, our whole family thought you were lost, but within half a year, people started coming to our house to send money. Your silly sisters didn't know, but I knew it in my heart."

Li Mu felt very warm after hearing this. He was afraid that the old man would be overly excited and hurt his roots, so he quickly changed the subject and asked:

"Dad, talking about my sisters, how are they now?"

Mentioning the other children, Lao Litou wiped the tears from his face and said happily:

"Okay, everything is fine! Your eldest sister is the first to make a difference."

"Back then, your eldest sister went out to do a small business to help support the family. It happened to coincide with the land reform. I gave her the money you sent back plus part of the house payment. Now she is the boss of a company!"

Li Mu nodded repeatedly and asked:

"Where are the other sisters?"

"With your eldest sister's support, the second child was successfully admitted to the Medical University..."

Holding Li Mu's hand, the old man talked endlessly about the development of several sisters.

The more Li Mu listened, the more surprised he became.

He never dreamed that his third sister Ye Xinyi would become a stewardess.

Fourth sister Guan Xuenan got her wish and was admitted to the police academy and became a police beauty.

Fifth sister Shen Mange has become a big star. She is appearing in new songs and variety shows. It is said that she is currently busy filming.

"As for your sixth and seventh sisters, they should have graduated from college this year. One of these two children has been admitted to the Imperial Film Academy, and the other has been sponsored by your sisters to study abroad."

After listening to his father's introduction, Li Mu couldn't help but sigh at the tremendous changes in his family.

After talking about the seven children, the father asked with concern:

"Old man, tell me honestly, what have you been doing these past few years? Why are the amounts of money sent home getting bigger and bigger?"

Li Mu didn't want to mention the things about licking blood from the edge of a knife to his father, so he deliberately teased the old man and said:

"I have been wandering abroad for a few years and now I am a homeless person. Dad, you have to support me."

After hearing Li Mu's words, the old man nodded in agreement and said:

"It's not good to go abroad, it's too dangerous. The money I saved for you is enough for you to marry a wife at home, so you can live well at home and give me a fat grandson to hold."

Li Mu asked deliberately:

"Why do you, an old man, prefer boys over girls? Isn't your grandson a grandson? None of my sisters are married?"

Hearing what Li Mu said, Lao Li looked like he hated iron and said:

"I get angry when I say this. The girls in our family are more beautiful than the other, but there is no one to talk to. Your sisters are all good, and you are not related by blood. Just marry whichever one you choose. Anyway, they are all

A family.”

Li Mu said with shame:

"Dad, don't talk nonsense. When will my sisters come back? It's been a long time since I last saw them. I miss them so much."

Old Li Tou said:

"How can this be nonsense? When you were young, you lived in the same bed every day. Whose daughter in the world can be as beautiful as my old Li family?"

Fortunately, the old man didn't bother with this anymore and continued:

"Your eldest, second, and fourth sisters are all in Beimang City. I can call them home tonight. I will call now and ask the second child to get off work to buy groceries and cook for you."

After hearing what his father said, Li Mu waved his hands and said:

"No, no, dad, please tell me the address. I'll go see my eldest sister first and give her a surprise."
