131, Taishan County

Mencius said: If you have a way to win the world and win its people, you will win the world.

Wang Zheng had always misunderstood this sentence before. He thought it was interpreted literally, and he could unify the world by winning the hearts of the people.

In fact, the true meaning of this statement should be that with the support of the people, the country can rule stably.

To govern the world, we need the support of the people, but what about conquering the world?

Looking through the history books, at least in the cold weapon era, any change of dynasty or the rise of kings in China was full of bloodshed.

Without corpses littering the fields and rivers of blood, it would be impossible to establish a new political power.

The big man is no exception.

If someone were to ask the future monarchs of the Three Kingdoms, whether Cao Cao, Sun Ce, or even Liu Bei, who was known for his benevolence and righteousness and his love for the people, they would probably get the same answer:

He who has good soldiers will win the world.

Because they know best that their ability to dominate one side and achieve great strength is partly due to the influence of the three elite soldiers in the late Eastern Han Dynasty.

In later generations, the ones that may be more familiar are the tiger and leopard cavalry, the trapped camp, the white soldiers, the white horse Yi Cong, etc.

But these are actually elite organizations similar to special forces. Not only are the soldiers likely to come from all over the world, but only one in a hundred cannot become a representative of a local area with outstanding combat capabilities. The bigger problem is that there can never be too many in number.

They may change the trend, victory or defeat of a certain battle, but they cannot determine the rise or fall of a force, its success or failure.

But a well-formed local elite army can do this.

For example, Danyang soldiers, Taishan soldiers, and Youzhou soldiers.

Among the three elite soldiers, in terms of reputation, they are naturally the Danyang soldiers who will be the main combat force of Soochow in the future.

It comes from the scope of Danyang County (also called Danyang County), including Jiuhua Mountain, Huangshan, Ma'anshan and other mountainous areas in Anhui Province in later generations, with many mountains and few fields.

Most people who live near mountains have strong bodies, tough personalities, and vigorous steps, which makes them much better than ordinary people in terms of mobility, resistance, and endurance.

Another more important point is that these local armies generally have the element of "connecting with each other".

As the saying goes, "Breaths are related to each other, pain and itch are related to each other, we go through fire and go together, and we go through thick and thin together."

If you win, you will raise a glass of wine to give in, if you lose, you will risk your life to save your opponent!

It was recorded in "Jiang Biao Zhuan" that the people in Danyang area are "five to six thousand families who want to form a clan", live together and are very united. This kind of living situation may have been originally to fight against bandits.

wild beasts and some natural disasters.

But in the later stage, even the government can resist, and the bandits are afraid to avoid it, and the government cannot recruit anyone.

Toughness and unity are almost the representative characteristics of strong local armies in the past dynasties, and they are also the common characteristics of the three powerful armies in the late Han Dynasty.

Of course, despite its great reputation, in terms of real combat power, the Danyang soldiers are actually somewhat unworthy of their reputation, and may not be as good as the other two.

Youzhou soldiers and Wuhuan's sudden cavalry.

Wuhuan is a minority ethnic group in the north during the Three Kingdoms period. Their living area borders Youzhou. They have been famous all over the world since the beginning of the Eastern Han Dynasty. There is a saying that "fishing in the sun, riding in the valley and riding suddenly, are heard all over the world".

By the end of the Han Dynasty, it was even more powerful in the world. Even the great scholar Cai Yong once lamented:

"When I see Youzhou's sudden cavalry and Jizhou's powerful crossbows, they are the best soldiers in the world. The country is ready for war. There are troubles in all directions, and the military commanders are attacking hard. It is not impossible not to distinguish between the two states."

The early scenes are full of scenes, and the famous hero of the late Han Dynasty, the white horse general Gongsun Zan, was first defeated by a powerful crossbow, and then burned himself in the face of a sudden cavalry.

It is better to say that he was defeated by Yuan Shao than by the combined forces of Jizhou soldiers and Youzhou soldiers.

In the Battle of Guandu, after Cao Cao defeated Yuan Shao, he also expedition to Wuhuan and won the victory. The number of Hu and Han surrenders reached 200,000. He immediately moved the population of Wuhuan three counties (Liaodong, Liaoxi, and Youbeiping) to the Central Plains and reorganized them.

When Wuhuan became an army, in terms of cavalry combat power alone, Cao Wei was truly the number one at that time, and Shu and Wu could not compare.

"The Legend of Wuwan in the Three Kingdoms": Wuhuan from the three counties became a famous horseman in the world.

It's just that the Youzhou Tuqi joined too late after all, which can only be said to have magnified Cao Wei's advantage.

The key to Cao Cao's rise to power was the existence of the last elite soldier, the Taishan soldiers!

The Taishan soldiers were named after Wang Kuang, stronger than Bao Xin, and skilled in Lu Qian. They were real soldiers since ancient times, and their martial arts were strong and tyrannical.

This is no joke.

The Western Yi people believe in heaven and pray to gods, while the Han people attach great importance to worshiping their ancestors. They like to brag about how rich their ancestors are when they have nothing to do.

As for the martial prowess of their ancestors, the Xuzhou people could naturally use heroes like Overlord Xiang Yu to suppress the neighboring Qingzhou people, but it would not be easy to use them here with the Taishan people.

Because this neighbor’s ancestor is even more awesome, that is Chi You, the God of War!

(The mountains are majestic to the east of the sky, the land of Dongyi. The leader, Chi You, is also the lord of the army.)

But the Taishan people are indeed a bit too tough.

From ancient times to the present, bandits and rebels are so common that they are countless.

For example, the famous Liu Xia Zhi, a "thief who has his own way", gathered thousands of people and went around the world, causing chaos in all directions.

As a result, when the ancestral dragon unified the world, special arrangements were made for the Taishan people.

Destroy all the world, Fengdi, Tibet Xianyang, Dongzang Yuying.

The winner is Taishan County.

This is an obvious warning.

The weapons are all gone, why are you still messing around?

Encountering a more powerful one, the Taishan people finally stopped for hundreds of years.

As a result, when Wang Mang came to the new dynasty, he returned to his old ways and the powerful Red Eyebrow Army appeared.

Later, during the reign of Emperor Gengshi, Taishan County raised 200,000 troops to attack Wang Mang.

During the reign of Emperor Jianwu, rebellions broke out one after another in Taishan, and it took four years to gradually quell them.

During the reign of Emperor Shun of the Han Dynasty, there was another turmoil in Mount Tai. The imperial court appointed minister Li Gu as the prefect of Mount Tai, and extended his kindness to Mount Tai, which restored peace for thirteen years.

For the next fifty years, they continued to eat soft things but not hard things. Once the court conquered, they would become more violent. If they were appeased, they could calm down for a while. They were like naughty children, constantly tossing as if they had infinite energy.

And you can't hit, you can only coax.

In the fourth year of Zhongping (187), the Taishan people made more noise.

Zhang Ju, the governor of Taishan, the most tenacious tyrant in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, took the lead in the rebellion and called himself the "Emperor". Zhang Chun called himself "General Mitian and King of Anding" and colluded with the Karasuma cavalry to attack You and Jizhou.

At its peak, the army was strong, the horses were strong, and the number of soldiers was over 100,000.

At the end of the Han Dynasty, the two elite soldiers joined forces, which was indeed extraordinary. The court fought for two years without suppressing it, and Gongsun Zan was almost beaten to death.

In the sixth year of Zhongping, Zhang Ju was even able to break out of the siege and escape (far beyond the fortress and disappeared without a trace).

this...

Looking at Yuan Shu, who was close to the three states, he only called himself "Zhongjia", and he vomited blood and died after a short time. It is really speechless.

I don’t know if the Skeleton King is too incompetent or if the Taishan soldiers are too capable?

Zhang Juping made such a big commotion in a single county, which had a huge impact. Not only did the Han royal court almost have their pants removed, but it also almost caused the future of the Three Kingdoms to be stillborn.

Because when he was young, Uncle Liu Huang participated in the crusade against Zhang Ju and Zhang Chun. During the rebellion, he was stabbed under the horse by a rebel. In the end, he escaped by lying on the ground and pretending to be dead.

(Liu) Bei was brave and brave. At that time, Zhang Chun rebelled and Qingzhou was ordered to send soldiers to fight against Chun. They crossed the plains. Ziping recommended Bei to Chun, so he followed him. When he met a thief in the wild, Chuang Yang died in the preparation. After the thief left,

, the old man carried it in his car, so he could avoid it.--"Dian Lue"

...

After listening to Mi Heng's talk, Wang Zheng gained great insights, but he still remained silent and hesitated in his heart.

Speaking of which, Mount Tai is also a sad place for the heavenly army under his command.

The predecessor of the Heavenly Army, the 300,000 Qingzhou Yellow Turbans rebelled with great momentum at the beginning. The first blow they received was from Taishan Prefect Ying Shao.

At that time, Wang Zheng hadn't traveled through time yet, so he thought it was because the Qingzhou Army was too incompetent. After all, this Ying Shao seemed to him to be an unknown person.

But now... Wang Zheng finally understood that Ying Shao had no cards, but Taishan soldiers could fight!

He also understood Mi Hengjian's intention in taking Taishan County.

In these troubled times, places like Taishan County are the most important strategic capital...

manpower!

It is also an extremely excellent source of soldiers!

only...

Wang Zheng, who is heavily covered by the system, feels that this is not what he is lacking at the moment.

However, this reason was difficult to express openly. After thinking for a while, Wang Zheng decided to politely refuse:

"Sir, do you know the population of Mount Tai?"

"Its county has twelve counties and cities." Mi Heng was prepared and immediately replied: "There are 80,000 registered households. According to Heng's estimate, the population should be above Pengcheng, starting at 400,000!"

It is quite densely populated.

Wang Zheng nodded and added: "According to what Mr. Wang said, this place is very martial. But after years of conquests and the powerful officials, the people must have exhausted their power. Now this general is..."

Before he finished speaking, Mi Heng interrupted with a smile: "Lord, this is wrong!"

"Even today, from Yi Heng's perspective, if my lord can master Mount Tai..." Mi Heng heard what Wang Zheng meant, but he still said confidently: "You can also get a hundred thousand elite soldiers!"

hiss...

Hearing this number, Wang Zheng took a breath of air.

"Sir, please don't joke." After being stunned for a while, Wang Zhengcai looked at Mi Heng in surprise and uncertainty: "One county has a population of only 400,000, how can it be possible to get 100,000 elite soldiers?"

"My Lord, I don't know something." Mi Heng said with a smile: "Qingzhou people can fight, Pengcheng people dare to fight, but Taishan people are warlike!"

As he spoke, he gave an example directly: "In the past, when the Dong thief took power, Wang Kuang, the prefect of Hanoi, stationed troops in Heyangjin to fight against him. He was defeated and his army was overturned!"

Hearing such a tone, Wang Zheng knew without asking that there was either a "but" or a "then".

Sure enough, Mi Heng continued: "Wang Kuang later returned to Taishan County..."

"Thousands of warriors gathered in a blink of an eye!"

When talking about "in a flash", Mi Heng stared at Wang Zheng and emphasized his tone.

Is that an exaggeration?

"Even if the Taishan people are as warlike as Mr. Wang said." Although he was a little moved, Wang Zheng still did not change his mind, and frowned again and said: "If we want to gather a hundred thousand strong soldiers, we have to draw four.

It’s unlikely.”

"Besides, since our army entered Xuzhou for several months, there have been battles almost every day, and the soldiers have not been able to rest. Sir, I still have concerns in my heart."

"My lord, are you worried that if you ask too hastily, you will be disappointed?"

"Not only that, but also the East China Sea."

Wang Zhengdao: "Liu Bei's heroic reputation has faded. He has now become the new Mud of Xuzhou. With such a powerful enemy looming in the East China Sea, watching from the side, if I rashly open the front again at this time, I'm afraid there will be people in the rear.

If it is lost, there is a risk of being attacked from two sides."

"Mr. Xuande?" Hearing Wang Zheng mention this person, Mi Heng was startled at first, and then smiled brightly: "If so, in Heng's opinion, the lord is overly worried."

"I predict that the East China Sea will not mobilize troops within this year!"

"Oh?" Wang Zheng was very interested and asked sideways, "Why?"

"First, our army has won many battles, has high morale, and is famous all over the world. Liu Bei is not mediocre. He knows that our army is extraordinary and comparable to the Yellow Turbans. How could he take the initiative to provoke disputes and rashly make enemies?"

"Secondly, the arrogant soldiers and powerful generals in the East China Sea do not know how to counterattack, and there are even more powerful families running rampant, such as Danyang Bing and Zang Bazhe. They can be driven by Tao Qian, but they may not obey Liu Bei. He is not stable internally, how can he have external plots?

Heart?"

"Third, why has Tao Qian ignored our army since it entered Xuzhou?"

Mi Heng said seriously: "Not long after Fang was defeated, his strength has not recovered, and Yuan Shu is peeping from outside, as if he is stuck in the throat. It is not that he doesn't want to, but he really can't!"

"Liu Xuande is extremely capable of things that Tao Qian is powerless to do. Is it possible that he can change them in a short time?"

These words were reasonable and well-founded. Wang Zheng pondered for a long time and finally felt certain.

At this time, he had to admit that he was overthinking.

Perhaps this is the disadvantage brought by the prophet. Wang Zheng was a little frightened when he heard that Liu Bei had now become the shepherd of Xuzhou!

As the saying goes, this moment is the same as that moment.

Liu Bei, who was the Pingyuan Prime Minister, could only focus on stepping on the Yellow Turban and ascending to the throne, but after becoming Xuzhou Mu, it was impossible to just focus on him anymore.

Seeing Wang Zheng slightly nodding his head, his face showing emotion, obviously being persuaded by himself, Mi Heng quickly struck while the iron was hot: "Don't worry about Liu Bei for now, our army has been recuperating for two months, and it has regained its energy and is enough to make plans."

"If you want to take a picture abroad, you must be the first to do so!"

"My lord, you know that what Caiheng said just now means that if you capture Mount Tai, you will get one hundred thousand elite soldiers, but that does not mean recruiting soldiers from the private sector."

Oh? Wang Zheng was startled: "How?"

"The thieves in Taishan are making noise in the world, and the wealthy and aristocratic families are all thieves and bandits." Mi Heng said word for word: "Even if the government orders are not given out, the county guards are like running dogs."

"This is also what Heng said at the beginning. If our army goes out, we must not just get a county in vain, but must completely control it!"

"If you want to master it, you have to suppress the bandits and recruit them. Once you succeed, Heng boldly said that there will be far more than 100,000 elite soldiers!"

When Wang Zheng heard this, he was shocked and his eyes lit up.

He stared at Mi Heng with burning eyes and admitted that he was truly attracted to you.

But not because of the so-called 100,000 elite soldiers!

But...

Suppress bandits!

For the current royal government, he may not pay attention to the sources of soldiers, but the financial resources are completely different.

Before entering Xuzhou, Wang Zheng had never worried about money, food and weapons.

When we were in Qingzhou, all the battles we fought were victorious, and there would naturally be seizures, and homes would be confiscated when we attacked the city. Every time we won a city, it meant that a dozen wealthy families would become lambs to be slaughtered.

Wang Zheng naturally didn't need to consider these things, but it was completely different when he arrived in Xuzhou.

Now that it is to be used as a base, it is no longer possible to treat the common people and aristocratic families simply and roughly.

In order to maintain long-term peace and stability in the two places, the power of the aristocratic family is even more indispensable. At least for now, Wang Zheng cannot rely on his own efforts.

Originally lacking in talents, after Langya and his party got Yan, the Wang family joined them, and with the addition of Ni Heng and Zhang Zhao, the urgent need was temporarily solved.

But not long after returning to Kaiyang, Wang Zheng began to worry about money again.

Over the past few days, all aspects of military and political expenses have been consuming his previous savings, and although he has income, he cannot make ends meet.

If this continues, it will be nothing but nothing.

Therefore, Wang Zheng did not take any action during this period. Firstly, it was because of Liu Bei, and secondly, Wang Zheng had been thinking about how to solve this problem.

Originally, Wang Zheng planned to take another place.

That is Beihai Kingdom.

First, this country is close to the sea, and its salt industry and shipping are extremely developed. It is an important commercial place and can help solve the current dilemma.

Secondly, Kong Rong is easier to deal with. Wang Zheng can completely secure this place without using too many troops while stabilizing the rear.

However, Mi Heng's analysis can be regarded as a word that awakened the dreamer, and he suddenly realized that Liu Bei was not a threat for the time being, but Taishan...

It’s also a way to make money!

And compared to Beihai, if you can get Taishan County, you will get money faster!

What is the fastest way to make money in the world?

It's robbery!

It's not okay to take advantage of the big ones, but it's okay to take advantage of the bad guys, right?

"What you said is true!"

Wang Zheng asked excitedly: "I wonder who the bandits in Taishan are and how much money they have... Oh no, are they men and horses?"

"Uh." This stopped Mi Heng from asking, and he said uncertainly:

"My lord, I don't know the specific situation. I just heard that bandits are rampant in the county. There are not a few big ones with more than ten thousand people. As for the small thieves with hundreds of people, there are hundreds."

"Then ask Wenze. I remember he is from Taishan." Wang Zheng was not surprised and stood up.

Once he made up his mind, he no longer hesitated: "I will definitely take Taishan County!"

"You and I will return to the city immediately, summon the generals, and discuss the details!"

"See you soon, my lord!"

Seeing that Wang Zheng was finally persuaded, Ni Heng was also happy.
