101. Controlled variable method

"Do you also know about the evil witch?"

Lu Tan took his time and used chopsticks to add another piece of smoked fish from their lunch box. It had a bit of sweetness and a good texture.

"The Witch is the master of this island. As long as you believe in the Witch, you can gain eternal life."

The original gloomy expressions of the two people disappeared, and their tone suddenly became a little fanatical.

"Then why don't you eat food from the island?"

Lu Tan asked, then picked up a piece of seaweed to wrap rice with, chewing it in his mouth.

"......sorry."

The two men hesitated for a moment, then suddenly bent down and apologized, hitting their heads on the table, which was painful to hear.

"I'm sorry!" "I'm sorry!"

The two of them kept apologizing and banging their heads on the table, even hitting their foreheads until they bled, but they still didn't stop.

The people next to him looked over, and Lu Tun's mouth twitched as he held down the two people who kept apologizing.

"You don't need to apologize. Can you tell me about Wan Ye?"

Lu Tan was afraid that they would become ruthless "I'm sorry" machines again, so he hurriedly changed the subject.

Judging from the conversation just now, Wan Ye is not the key word to trigger an apology.

But then again, do everyone in Wajima like to apologize so much?

When you are in doubt, just apologize first and then talk about it. No matter what happens, just apologize and that's it?

Apology is such a convenient thing.

Lu Jian felt that this would be useful for next time.

"Right... Well, as for Wan Ye, he arrived on this island about four days ago, and then he disappeared two days ago. He ate here at noon that day, and disappeared at night."

Almost falling into a cycle of apologizing again, the man reacted.

"In other words, he is quite normal after lunch?"

Lu Tan silently crossed out the possibility of food in his mind.

When his dishes were served, they were all seafood. They were very rich and made people very appetizing at first sight.

He picked up a piece of boiled fish and looked at the two diners who had brought their own dry food.

"Do you want to eat?"

The two shook their heads repeatedly.

"I think there should be no problem with the food. If you don't want to eat it, I will."

Lu Kan put the fish piece into his mouth, chewed it, and swallowed it.

"The taste is okay, and I don't know what special seasonings are put in it. It has a slight numb feeling on the tip of the tongue, which is very exciting."

He struck three times, five divided by two, and emptied the bowl of food.

He got up and prepared to go to the next place. As soon as Lu Tan walked out of the restaurant door, he felt an itching sensation in his throat, as if something was coming up, making him cough.

"Cough cough cough..."

Lu Tan coughed violently, as if he wanted to cough up all his internal organs. He bent over and curled up like a shrimp, but the coughing still didn't stop.

Feeling slightly relieved, Lu Tan released the hand covering his mouth, only to see a little blood stains on his palm, which seemed to be caused by the cough just now.

"A bit strong..."

As Lu Tran spoke, he continued to cough again, this time more violently, causing people around him to look at him from a distance, for fear of being infected by Lu Tran.

This time, Lu Tan had something extra in his palm.

It was a black ball of grass covered with bruises.

Lu Tuan felt something was stuck in his throat. He stretched out his hand and put two fingers towards his throat, and soon felt a foreign object in his throat.

"vomit--"

A feeling of vomiting rose up in his throat, and Lu Tiao pinched the thing with his fingers.

He pulled hard.

Some kind of pain penetrated the esophagus, and the burning sensation spread from the stomach to the throat and finally to the mouth, making Lu Tiao's eyes darken.

But fortunately he is fast enough.

The fingers were pulled out from the throat, along with the slender rattan.

This dark green vine was covered with black mucus and was almost pulled out from Lu Tian's stomach. He kept wrapping his fingers around it and resisting the feeling of vomiting before finally pulling out all of it.

Lu Tan carefully inspected the cane and found that there were several sarcomas growing on the branches.

These tumors are bulging, and they seem to be pregnant with something.

"I had this kind of thing in my body before?"

Lu Tiao felt that although he would sometimes grow grass, he would not create such a weird thing.

Moreover, the grass on his body usually grows after the body has been damaged. Now that there are these things, it means that Lu Jian's body has been damaged.

"Is it food?"

Lu Tan decided to study while basking in the sun.

He ran back to the restaurant and bought some more food under the surprised eyes of the two people who had brought their own dry food.

Under the sun, Lu Tan ate delicious food while spitting out dirty grass balls and vines. Soon, a lot of garbage piled up around him.

"Eating vegetable foods will usually spit out several spiky grass balls about the size of fingernails, beef and pork will spit out palm-sized grass balls with mucus, fish will spit out vines with sarcoma, and rice will spit out seaweed.

The leaves look like..."

Lu Jian simply used the control variable method to record the reactions caused by the food he ate.

When the passers-by saw this, they all avoided looking and left in a hurry, as if they felt that standing next to Lu Jian would bring bad luck.

After a while, when the sun set in the west, Lu Jian ended his tasting.

"The food on the entire island has been contaminated. This contamination is subtle. It may just start with a cough, but will spread to the whole body with the flow of blood. Because of the detoxification effect of photosynthesis, my reaction was particularly strong."

Lu Tiao came to a conclusion.

"If this is the pollution of the uncertain fog, then the real uncertain fog is very likely to still exist on this island. But, how can such a serious pollutant be hidden from being discovered at a glance?"

The huge filth in the sea was exploded by an arrow shot from a distant place by the Son of God. This shows that the shrine maiden who lives high in Wajima Taisha Shrine has the power to strike across the visual range. It can be regarded as the ceiling of combat power in this world. If the fog of uncertainty

It still exists on the island, so logically the Son of God should be able to see through it.

"Is it true that, as Momiji said, even the shrine maiden of Wajima Shrine has surrendered to the enemy? What exactly is a shrine maiden?"

When Lu Tiao thought about this, he remembered another thing.

He hurried back to the restaurant and saw two well-fed men who had brought their own dry food and were drinking and chatting in the corner. Lu Tiao came to the two men with serious expressions.

"There is one thing I forgot to remind you just now."

Seeing Lu Tan's serious expression, and remembering Lu Tan's weird behavior before, the two of them couldn't help but straighten their backs, just like the students facing the ghost teacher in class.

"Yes, what's the matter?"

one of them asked.

"If you eat your wine with seafood, you are prone to gout."

Lu Tan said seriously, then took away the bottle of wine on their table and left.

After a while, the two people who were stunned came to their senses.

"Did he just take our bar?"

"It seems..."

On the other side, I walked out of the restaurant's landing, left Anxinyuan directly, and walked along the street of Utajima towards the low mountains in the center of the island.

Washima Shrine is right on top of that mountain.
