Chapter 621 Phantom Thieves and Ghouls

Cold light emitted from under the scanning table, illuminating "The Phantom Thief".

Matsumoto Ryohei walked to the computer aside and started operating, explaining while operating.

"Many artists reuse their canvases, covering one painting with another to save money or for some special purpose in artistic creation."

"Traditional X-ray scanning cannot see another painting hidden under the painting. Just like the X-ray film taken in the hospital, only black and white colors cannot allow us to see clearly what is underneath the painting."

"However, we can use 13 wavelengths, including light from ultraviolet to infrared, to shine on the painting, and then use a camera to scan the picture, so that the lines and paint colors of the previous painting can be restored to the greatest extent."

Ryohei Matsumoto debugged the parameters on the computer for the last time, then came to the scanning table and pressed the start button.

Light that is completely invisible to the naked eye scans back and forth on "The Phantom Thief", and some dull colors appear on the screen.

As the scan progresses, these colors gradually gather together, and the colors continue to change slightly, just like countless colorful maggots squirming on the screen.

It became clearer, first outlining a moon.

This moon was scanned by Kuroba Kaito at home, and it is exactly the same as the moon position in "Phantom Thief".

But the color is red!

The scarlet moon hung in the dark night sky. Under the moon, there were rolling gray mountains.

And this continuous mountain range corresponds to Black Feather Thief's phantom thief cloak fluttering in the wind, and the location is exactly the same.

In "Phantom Thief", the white top hat worn by Kuroba Thief gradually faded and began to shrink like a piece of meat roasted on a flame.

It turned into a long and narrow head with strange proportions.

The shape of this head is 30% less human-like and 70% more dog-like. The mouth protrudes like a canine, and the disgusting upper and lower jaws reveal sinister teeth.

Seeing this sinister face, some of the hairs on Qin Zhibo's skin stood up, and his brain suddenly recalled memories from some time ago.

It was in the cemetery near Suzuki Sonoko's family villa. I spent an unforgettable night in a coffin and met some "dog-faced visitors", or "kobolds".

At this time, the faces of those "visitors" seemed to be alive, and under the constant changes in the scanning light, the edges of their bodies continued to tremble.

The changes on the screen go from top to bottom, and more details are scanned out.

Black Feather Pirates' head turned into the kobold's neck leaning forward

The upper body of Black Feather Robber becomes that of a kobold.

Black Feather Robber's lower body turned into a messy, twisted mess, with a lot of blood inside.

In the hands of the original Black Feather Thief, he holds the cloak that was originally the uniform of a Kaito Thief. A regular and elegant vortex spins out of the corner of the white cloak.

But after scanning, what was clutched there was not a corner of the cloak, but a human head!

This is a big bald head, and half of the pale skin on the top of its head has been eaten away, revealing some bloody bones underneath.

A human face that was so horrified and twisted that one could see down to the throat with its mouth wide open.

The kobold figure that replaced Kuroba Toichi was placed in a certain cemetery. The stars behind Kaitou Kidd were replaced by larger cross tombstones.

Thirteen kinds of invisible light revealed everything that was originally invisible under the painting. As the scanner stopped working, the abominable image on the screen no longer trembled.

Looking at the scanned results in front of them, Qin Zhibo, Kuroba Kaito, Terai Kinosuke, and Matsumoto Ryohei were all shocked.

What is surprising is not only the weird image of the kobold, but also the superb skills of the creator of this painting.

The entire painting of "Monster Thieves" was almost created based on the painting below. All important lines in the painting are continuations rather than simple coverage.

The bright white moon turned into a scarlet moon, the monster thief's cloak turned into a gray mountain, the top hat turned into a dog's head, the swirling corner of the cloak turned into a half-eaten human head, and the stars turned into tombstones.

This unparalleled painting technique seems to come from hell, which is another reason why Matsumoto Ryohei did not explain in detail, painting within painting.

Let the color and form of one painting influence another.

This kind of picture-in-picture is extremely rare. It requires far more energy than painting a picture, and the technical requirements are very high.

Moreover, there was no X-ray scanning technology in the world before, so no one would waste time painting a painting that was destined to be unappreciated.

Qin Zhibo looked at the painting in front of him, and using the appreciation part of the art and craft (art) skills, he could see that the painting was highly skilled and could enter the world-class art palace.

He paints the horror so vividly, his precise lines and proportions evoke the viewer's dormant instinct - fear.

Appropriate color contrast and light and dark effects are like sharp thorns dormant in the heart, allowing viewers to feel a very unusual experience of hair standing on end.

Phantom Thieves and Kobolds, the wonderful and terrifying alternation between the themes of the two paintings can be called

"Miracle!"

Matsumoto Ryohei suddenly raised his arms and shouted, his voice deafening.

"This is nothing short of a miracle!"

"An unprecedented miracle!"

Matsumoto Ryohei walked to the screen and stroked the kobold image on it with his hand, as if it really existed.

The kobold was eating a human head, as if prompted by someone to raise its head, its gray eyes facing the direction of the canvas.

Compared to Matsumoto Ryohei's excitement, Kuroba Kaito's body was trembling slightly, his face full of disbelief.

Even if he tried his best, he could not imagine that there was such a horrifying scene underneath the painting depicting his father's heroic appearance.

Kuroba Kaito: Will -15

Terai Kinosuke, like Kuroba Kaito, stared at the painting in disbelief. He could not imagine what kind of mentality Master Toichi had before he agreed to be the painter's model.

Terai Huangnosuke: Will -10

The only person who was relatively calm in this room was Qin Zhibo. Except for being a little surprised when he saw the image of the kobold, the rest was fine.

After all, Qin Zhibo had seen this thing with his own eyes. No matter how realistic the image on the painting was, it was just like that.

Qin Zhibo:Will-5

At this moment, the door to the room was pushed open, and Koizumi Anko came back after visiting the hell exhibition hall.

She looked around the room and subconsciously looked at the computer screen where everyone's eyes were gathered.

"Eh?"

"Isn't this a ghoul?"

Koizumi Hongzi said.
