Chapter 102 Dispute in the Yard

Brutus and Priul sneaked into the village at night, and with Priul's keen reconnaissance ability, they successfully found a courtyard where many people gathered.

There were people guarding the outside of the yard, so the two of them did not act rashly.

"There are no weapons." Priul looked at the two people standing at the door and took out a short bow and two arrows. "They don't look like they are wearing leather armor, and they don't look alert enough."

Brutus could see clearly this time where Priul had taken out the weapon - there was a small bag tied to the back of his belt, which must have been something with storage magic.

"Wait a minute, don't rush to take action yet." He held down Priul's right hand, "We haven't figured out the situation yet. What if we kill someone by mistake."

"Wrongful killing? No, this is to eliminate hidden dangers." Although Priul said this, he seemed to have given up on the plan to take action directly, and instead waited for Brutus's suggestion.

"First, let's find out if there is a suitable place to sneak in. It won't be too late for us to understand the situation first before taking action." Brutus paused, "Besides, there are just these people, so it won't be difficult to solve it."

"It's hard to say. If there are too many lice, they can bite people to death." Puliure retorted casually and touched two stones of appropriate size on the ground.

He estimated the distance, threw the stones with both hands at the same time, knocking the two people at the door unconscious. Brutus did not expect this guy to do this, and was a little surprised.

What happened next was much simpler. They easily reached over and pulled the two people who had fallen to the ground to a dark place. Then they moved closer to the door and listened to the goings on in the yard.

"Now that all the people who can decide the matter are here, let's show your hands and vote on the suggestion I just made." A strong baritone voice came from the courtyard.

"I don't agree. John, you know the consequences of doing this, don't you? Even if we are fooled this year, what will happen in the future?" A slightly sharp male voice came from the courtyard.

"Blitz, it's hard for us to survive the winter, so why talk about the future?" The strong male voice replied, and it seemed that this was John. "If we don't do this, we won't even be able to save food for the winter."

"Yes, Blitz." Several voices agreed.

"Guys, you are risking your life. Maybe Sissoko City will mobilize the army." Blitz retorted, "Don't you think about the consequences of doing this?"

"Then tell me, what can we do to survive this winter?" A man became impatient and shouted loudly, "Blitz, tell me, besides doing this, do we have any other opportunities?"

?”

The sounds in the yard seemed to disappear, and after a while Blitz's voice came out again: "Since it's all a risk, it's better to just kill the tax collector."

"Are you crazy?" Yon's surprised voice came out, "This is crazier than what we are going to do."

"I'll do it myself." Blitz's voice sounded a little trembling, "Since it was my suggestion, I should do it. This won't harm the villagers, right?"

The courtyard fell into silence again, and after a while, a man said: "Maybe, you can really try it."

"Impossible, there is no chance of success in doing this." John said with certainty, "The tax collector's attendant is not a free man."

"But only one arrow is enough." Blitz considered, "As long as you escape into the forest after shooting, those attendants cannot be more familiar with the environment than me."

Priul glanced at Brutus, and after the two looked at each other, he kicked open the courtyard door: "Okay, guys, the chat session is over."

There were more than twenty men standing in the courtyard. They all looked over because of the movement caused by Priul. When they saw that it was a stranger, they all picked up the tools closest to them - stools, wooden sticks...

...But the most people are still bare-handed people.

"Calm down, don't do anything." Seeing that Priul and Brutus were carrying weapons, Jon hurriedly stopped those who wanted to take action.

He walked up to Priul and Brutus, who were entering the courtyard, and asked: "Who are you?"

Puliul looked at Jon in front of him coldly, seeming to be considering how to deal with this planner: "Maybe I should arrest you and Blitz on charges of treason first, and then hand them over to Sissoko City.

Guard camp.”

"Don't even think about it!" The people behind Jon were planning to rush forward and capture the arrogant Priul directly.

"Don't move!" Jon shouted behind him, and then looked at Priul, "Sir Knight, I'm going with you, I hope you won't embarrass them."

Brutus raised his brows slightly, and he had a feeling that John seemed to know Priul.

"Who is Blitz?" Puliul glanced at the crowd.

"I'll go with you." Blitz stood out from the crowd.

Before following Priul out of the yard, Jon once again told the others: "Listen to me, don't do anything, and stay in the village."

After the four of them walked a little further away from the courtyard, Priul stopped and looked at Yorn and Blitz, as if waiting for the two of them to take the initiative to speak.

"Are Corsi and Somle okay?" Jon asked.

"Those two at the door? They were just knocked unconscious by me. I didn't expect you to be from this village."

"That's good." John breathed a long sigh of relief, "Prior, we haven't seen each other for three years."

"Yes, it's been almost three years." Priul nodded, "What's going on in this village?"

John smiled bitterly: "The most common one is that you can't afford to pay taxes."

"Has the tax officer changed?" Priul frowned.

"Macmillan, you know that guy." John looked at Brutus next to Priul, "Who is this?"

"I really didn't expect that this guy would one day be able to buy the taxing rights around Sissoko City." Of course Puliure knew who MacMillan was, "His name is Brutus, and he is the companion I found recently."

"It looks pretty good." John looked at Brutus and said, "Okay, the reminiscing session is almost over."

Priul handed the short bow and two arrows to John: "This can be regarded as returning to the original owner."

Jon stroked the bow arm with some nostalgia and smiled: "But we will definitely not be able to go back to the past."

"If you have the chance, come and join me in Turner." Puliure gave John a farewell knighthood, "and be sure to give Macmillan a good surprise."

Jon solemnly returned Puliul with a knight's salute, with a smile on his face: "Don't worry, I will also send your share of my heart."

Brutus and the somewhat dumbfounded Blitz watched the two of them finish their conversation, as if they were outsiders.

Priul nodded, called Brutus and left the village. Meanwhile, Jon and Blitz whispered something. After a while, Blitz returned to the yard, and he disappeared into the night.
