Chapter 235: Bodhidharma's Back

Bodhidharma is incapable of writing a single word, and Keiko writes books in five carriages.

If you look through the nine layers of the pass, you will see a tiger; if you are three inches away from the hook, you will see a fish.

——"Fan Poems" by Li Shi (Song Dynasty)

Although Bai Fu was seriously injured, he did not panic and chose a sparsely populated place to hide.

Seeing a dense pine and cypress forest on Wuru Peak behind Chu Zu'an, the forest was as deep as the sea, quiet and dense, and difficult to be discovered, so Bai Fu plunged into it.

"Wow", Bai Fu felt a wave of nausea in his chest. He couldn't help but kneel down on the ground, holding on to the tree trunk, and started vomiting. He didn't stop until his stomach water and bile came out.

Bai Fu felt dizzy and sat cross-legged, breathing in and out.

Looking inside, I see three needles as thin as hair and black in color, moving up from my waist and ribs along the blood. Where the black needles go, the blood vessels are like polluted rivers. Thousands of fish are turning their bellies. , died in the river. The river water was dark, and the silt was wrapped in smelly fish and rotten shrimps, giving off a disgusting stench.

Bai Fu quickly took off his shoes and socks, took out a hollow silver-edged needle, and inserted it into the tips of his toes and fingers.

Bai Fumo practiced Xuan Gong, and the mountain spring water stored in various acupoints gurgled out from the spring in the acupoint. At first, it was like dew among fallen leaves and flowers, as thin as a gossamer. In an instant, it gathered into a stream, like a forest stream, and slid down the stepping stones.

The true energy of Kanding and the golden blood of Qilin are like a mountain spring meeting a forest stream. The two rivers meet, jumping for joy and surging into a waterfall. A golden waterfall jumps down the cliff and flies...

Poisonous blood and black needles shot out from the tips of the toes and fingers and fell on the grass. The green grass leaves quickly withered and withered.

"What an evil poison!"

Bai Fu used the branches as chopsticks, carefully put the three black needles into the small porcelain vase, and packed them properly. When he finds the person who plotted against him in the future, he will use his method to retaliate against him.

About half an hour later, Bai Fu finished adjusting his breath and began to figure out how to deal with it in the next step. Both sides had suffered a loss just now. Even if the hatred between himself and Shaolin was settled, he could only take one step at a time to decide how it would end in the future.

There was a "bang" of thunder, the sky was covered with dark clouds, and a heavy rain was about to come. Bai Fu got up and searched for shelter from the rain. Not long after, he found that more than ten meters below the top of the middle peak of Wuru Peak, facing the southwest, there was A natural stone cave. On the upper left side of the cave, there is a small, crude and broken stone tower.

Bai Fu started his Qinggong and galloped away.

Walking into the cave, it was cold and cold. The cave was about seven meters deep and more than three meters high and wide. There were four stone Buddha statues carved on the stone platform inside the cave. There was a futon on the ground.

On the stone wall in the middle of the cave, there is a figure of a monk facing the wall. The weaving pattern of his clothes and the folds and wrinkles are faintly visible, like a faint ink painting. There is a line of small words under the stone wall: "Dharma Faces the Wall Shadow Stone"

Bai Fu heard the story of Bodhidharma who faced the wall for nine years and gained enlightenment and founded Zen Buddhism many times. To be honest, when he first heard it, Bai Fu didn't believe it and thought it was just a beautiful Shaolin legend. There are several reasons. Two points: First, what knowledge requires sitting cross-legged and meditating and taking nine years to figure it out? Second, what kind of skill is so powerful that you can embed your own shadow into a rock wall?

Unexpectedly, by chance, I would be here today.

Bai Fu touched the image of Bodhidharma on the stone wall inside the cave with his hand. After a closer look, he found that the rock wall in this cave was different. The water seeping from the roof of the cave, the moss and the unique British sand on the rock wall, the rock and soil blended together. , water and milk blend together, and settle down over the years, like a painter's paint on the wall, mellow and rich.

It was raining heavily outside, and the rainwater fell in the forest, flowing down the slope from the gaps in the tree roots and grass, and falling from the top of the cave like a thick curtain of water.

With such a heavy rain, it is estimated that the Shaolin disciples will not be able to find this place for a while. Bai Fu simply sat down cross-legged, imitating the way Bodhidharma faced the wall, and breathed out his meditation.

The sound of rain, the chirping of insects in the forest stream, and the sounds of nature quickly made Bai Fu enter a state of meditation. The true Qi of Kanding traveled throughout his body and diffused. If anyone was around at this moment, they would find that Bai Fu was enveloped in a

There is a faint light, like the light and shadow cast by the sun through the shade of the trees when the morning fog rises.

Suddenly, a bolt of lightning flashed outside the cave, descended from the sky, and struck the open space not far in front of the cave. A bright light flashed through the water curtain at the entrance of the cave and shot into the cave. Then, there was a deafening "boom" of thunder.

Bai Fu couldn't help but open his eyes. On the stone wall in front of him, Bodhidharma appeared!

Bai Fu was so horrified that he stood up. When he took a closer look, he was startled. A shadow of a person sitting cross-legged appeared on the stone wall, and his appearance was lifelike. When he got closer and looked closer, he saw that this shadow was roughly similar to his own.

Very similar.

Bai Fu didn't know how this vision occurred, but it must have something to do with the lightning. Could it be that the figure of Patriarch Bodhidharma also appeared in this way? By a strange combination of circumstances, he actually encountered the same supernatural event as Patriarch Bodhidharma. By chance,

Leave your shadow on the rock wall forever.

Bai Fu's mind flashed, and Xu Taifu's fable about shadows came to mind:

"Taoists believe that there is another world outside the world we live in. Our world may be a shadow of another world. In the four-dimensional world, there is another us."

"Below our world, there is a two-dimensional world, and shadow is the only two-dimensional object in our world."

"The shadow follows us, just like we follow us in the four-dimensional world."

"The four-dimensional world is space and time. One of the six magical powers of Buddhist monks, the 'Luo Jie Tong', can travel through time and space and know the past and the future. In fact, it means that eminent monks who are proficient in 'Luo Jie Tong' can enter the four-dimensional world."

"Since the shadow can be permanently left on the rock wall, is it possible to enter another world through the shadow?" Bai Fu boldly speculated.

If this is really possible, Patriarch Bodhidharma must have found a way to practice the magical power of "outflow", travel through time and space, and enter another world. Know the past and future, achieve great enlightenment, and become a Buddha!

The more Bai Fu thought about it, the more he felt that his guess made sense. But how to practice through shadow? What method must have been left by Patriarch Bodhidharma? Where could it be?

Bai Fu began to search every corner of the cave, but after a while of burning incense, he found no clues.

Bai Fu fell down on the futon and had no clue. Bai Fu comforted himself and said: "Shaolin has only produced a Bodhidharma Patriarch for hundreds of years. It can be seen that this matter requires fate. If there is no fate, don't force it.

"

As the saying goes, ‘The mountains are more secluded when birds sing’. The same is true for the sound of thunder and rain, which filters out the hustle and bustle of the mundane world and makes nature clearer and more transparent.

Bai Fu continued to meditate and enjoy the moment of tranquility amidst the sound of thunder and rain. Bai Fu's Kanding Zhenqi naturally loves water, regrouping in the rain and fog, and hundreds of rivers flowing into the sea.

Strangely enough, this Bodhidharma Cave seems to have a natural magnetic field, which makes it easier for Bai Fu to enter concentration than usual. "The beauty of using it lies in one mind."

At the beginning, my eyes were slightly closed and I couldn't see anything. I could only hear the sound of thunder and falling rain, but not the noise nearby.

Gradually, even the sound of thunder and falling rain could no longer be heard. I could only hear my own breathing and heartbeat.

Later, even the sound of breathing and heartbeat could not be heard. Only the eyelids could feel the light and the skin could feel the coolness.

"How can I be without separation if I hold one in my arms? How can I be as gentle as a baby if I concentrate on my Qi?"

Afterwards, even the skin has fallen asleep, only the soul is still there.

In a daze, a bright lotus lamp rose in my heart, pulling me towards the figure on the stone wall.

The moment he passed through the shadow, not only did the 'self' in front of him disappear, but even the soul disappeared without a trace. There was only a beam of light...

Passing through the shadow, suddenly enlightened...
