Chapter 624: Going to the Holy Spirit

Sometimes I feel melancholy and sit there until midnight.

The clear sky is filled with roars, and I want to understand the chaos of the world.

The heart goes with the long wind, blowing away the clouds thousands of miles away.

——Excerpt from "Gift to He Qi, Judge Chang Hao" by Li Bai

Yuchi Hussar was convinced of his defeat. He limped to the high platform to watch the battle and apologized to Bai Fu.

Bai Fu helped him up and said to the generals: "There will naturally be winners and losers in the exercise. There is no shame in losing at the hands of one of your own. I hope everyone can sum up their experience and reflect on their shortcomings."

The rebels may advance westward at any time, and only by training an iron army before they invade Shaanzhou can we be sure of being invincible."

After this battle, the veterans in Anbeiting no longer dared to rely on their old age and underestimated the Sichuan Gang and Xiangyong.

The disciples of the Sichuan Clan also respected the veterans more. The Xiangyong of Shaanzhou even admired Anbeiting Camp and were eager to make achievements on the battlefield.

The three groups of people cherish each other, respect each other, live in harmony, and finally merge together.

After the drill, Bai Fu called Yue Huzhu, Pei Pokong and other elite villagers into the tent.

Bai Fu asked everyone to sit down and said: I have carefully watched all your actions during the exercise.

Your martial arts skills all come from the Shaolin lineage. Unfortunately, the moves you have learned are limited and you have so little internal strength that you cannot fully display them.

It's like having a lot of money but not knowing how to spend it.

A few years ago, I stayed briefly in Shaolin. I saw that the abbot never gave up. The elders of Bodhidharma Academy and Luohan Hall also made an exception and taught me some unique techniques such as Vajra and Demon Subduing Boxing, One-Finger Zen and Vimalakīrti Body Techniques.

Shaolin is no longer here, so I pass on these boxing and kicking skills to everyone, which does not violate the ancestral precepts of Shaolin. I hope these skills can make up for your shortcomings in martial arts.

All the villagers were overjoyed and looked at each other with smiles on their faces.

Bai Fu waved his hand to signal everyone to be quiet, and said with a smile: "Don't be too happy, everyone. Although I know the fists and kicks of these peerless martial arts, I don't know the mental methods of the martial arts.

Without the support of Zen mind skills, the power of these martial arts can only be exerted by 20 to 30%."

After saying that, Bai Fu turned his wrist and pointed his finger in the air at the candle ten feet away. With a strong wind, the candle flame went out.

Bai Fu said: "This is the one-finger Zen."

Acupoints can be tapped from a distance, and all the warriors in the country are overjoyed.

Bai Fu started from the starting position and taught this fingering method to everyone.

Under Bai Fu's guidance, after half an hour, Yue Huzhu and Pei Pookong were able to light out the candle one foot away.

Bai Fu praised: "Your foundation is really from Shaolin. You are masculine and pure. You come from the same line, which is why you have made such rapid progress.

If you practice diligently every day, after three months, you will be able to light a candle ten feet away.

But candles are dead, and people are alive. If you want to fight with people with this martial arts, you will probably have to practice hard."

Yue Huzhu and Pei Pokong quickly saluted and expressed their thanks.

The rest of the village warriors were elite and had different levels of understanding. Bai Fu took the trouble to give guidance one by one.

It was Pei Shishi's turn to take action. This person was Pei Pokong's cousin and a well-known good man in the village.

Before he even stretched out his hand from the sleeve robe, the wind was already coming out of the sleeve robe, extinguishing the candle ten feet away. What's even more amazing is that the sleeve robe was not damaged in any way.

Everyone is shocked!

Bai Fu was also surprised and asked curiously: "Fifteen, have you learned this Kung Fu before?"

Pei Shisi looked at his hands in disbelief and found this matter unbelievable.

When General Bai asked, Pei Shisi replied thoughtfully: "To be honest, General, although this is my first time learning the fingering method of One-Finger Zen, my fingers seemed to be out of control as soon as you taught them.

It’s as if a fish has seen water and is eager to try.”

"Oh, is there such a strange thing?" Bai Fu was very surprised.

Pei Shishi demonstrated again, and Bai Fu concentrated his mind on the internal observation and immediately detected the trend of Pei Shishi's energy.

Bai Fu was greatly surprised and said: "You have plenty of true energy in your body, and your heart can turn at will and move naturally. There is only one explanation. You understand the mental method of this fingering! How strange, how strange!"

Pei Shishi pondered for a while and said: "General, I have studied a Buddhist scripture. Can you help me see if this is the mental method?"

After speaking, recite the mantra and recite a Buddhist sutra fluently.

As a master of martial arts, Bai Fu knew it as soon as he heard it.

Bai Fu nodded and said: "Yes, this is the mental method of one-finger Zen. Fourteen, how did you learn this mental method?"

Pei Shishi said: "The old monk who taught everyone to meditate and breathe out breath saw that I was honest and honest, so he said to me: 'I will teach you a Buddhist scripture. You must recite it all the time. It will be of great use within three to five years.'

The old monk taught the Dharma for several days, and after seeing that I had memorized every word of it, he left the village.

Strangely enough, ever since I learned to memorize this Buddhist sutra, every time I recite it when I feel upset, my inner fire will immediately disappear and my state of mind will become clear.

So every day when I was farming, carrying water and cutting firewood, I kept chanting it, for fear of forgetting a word."

After hearing this, Bai Fu looked around and said, "Did the old monk ask you to recite this Buddhist sutra?"

Everyone shook their heads and said, "What the old monk asked us to recite is another Buddhist scripture."

Everyone recited it in turn, and what they memorized silently turned out to be different Buddhist scriptures. Everyone also felt that this was strange. After reciting, they all looked at Bai Fu.

Bai Fu was stunned and stood on the spot.

Yue Huzhu and Pei Pokong hurriedly asked: "General, what's wrong?"

Bai Fu remained silent, stood up slowly, walked around the tent three times, and then spoke.

He looked at everyone and said: "The Buddhist scriptures that each of you recite are divided into upper and lower parts. The first half is indeed a Buddhist scripture, and it is a Buddhist classic, but the second half..."

Bai Fu pretended to be silent and kept silent.

"How?" Everyone was anxious.

Bai Fu exhaled a breath and said slowly: "The second half is the mental method of Shaolin's seventy-two stunts!"

After Zhongxiangyong left, Bai Fu fell into deep contemplation: "

Most of the Shaolin's seventy-two stunts have either been learned by me or have been practiced by Shaolin monks. Only the inner meaning of the seventy-two stunts cannot be understood.

After today, I am afraid that I am the only one in the world who can re-compile and organize the seventy-two unique skills of Shaolin.

It is a great contribution to inherit the unique knowledge for the past saints!

But why myself?"

Amidst the lightning and flint, Bai Fu's mind moved.

He found a pen and paper, and with his pen, he sketched the appearance of an eminent monk on the rice paper.

The portrait is lifelike, and the eminent monk has kind eyebrows and kind eyes, as if he is stepping down from the scroll to preach the scriptures and preach the Dharma.

Bai Fu called the village heroes again and asked them one by one.

As expected by Bai Fu, the old monk who taught the brave martial arts of Shaanzhou Township turned out to be an eminent monk of the generation—Abbot Kong Jian, the presiding officer of Shaolin!

Bai Fu remembered that Taifu told him that although Abbot Kongjian was superb in Buddhism, he did not know martial arts.

If you want to retain the treasures and unique knowledge of Shaolin Buddhist scriptures without violating the ancestral teachings, this is a clever move.

It is reported that when An Lushan raised his troops and went south, the Shaolin Temple was destroyed by the war.

The monks in the temple were either killed by the rebels or fled to other places.

At the foot of Shaoshi Mountain, there is no human habitation. There is no one in the temple, only the ruins of the walls, wild grass, foxes and mice.

And the Sutra Pavilion, which haunts warriors all over the world, has long since turned into a pile of ashes...

Unexpectedly, all the fates appeared today! All the longitudes and latitudes were connected to one point!

Bai Fu murmured to himself, "People say that the founder of Zen Buddhism has six great magical powers, among which the 'Luo Jie Tong' can travel through time and space. I can see it today, and this statement is true!"

Bai Fu looked up at the stars and seemed to see the old abbot's eyes as deep as the sea, glowing with the light of wisdom.
