1062 Leping Night Battle

In Leping Village, at the headquarters of the infantry battalion deployed by the Mirage Kingdom, the goblin battalion commander was waiting in fear for his orders.

He heard that the enemy's paratroopers had landed. He didn't know how many people there were on the other side, nor did he know how far away they were from him.

Two hours ago, a telegram was sent to him from above, saying that a troop of about 1,000 troops would be sent to reinforce him. However, after waiting for such a long time, he did not see even a single person.

Being trapped here, he didn't know what the fighting situation was outside, and he didn't dare to send anyone out to check if there were any enemy activities around him in the middle of the night.

Just kidding, he only has more than 470 soldiers in total. He has to divide them into four directions to guard the entire village. He can only place about 2 platoons of troops on one side of the position.

If he still sends people out to patrol under such a tight situation, if he suffers losses, will he still guard Leping Village?

In fact, he has always believed that his boss's deployment of only one battalion of troops here in Leping Village is a sign of mental retardation: it is not that he is so wise and divine, but he simply feels that more troops should be deployed where he is.

Soldiers, it's just safer.

In fact, if you think about it carefully, you will know that his idea is simply impossible: there will be no commander who would disperse his troops to various places in advance for so-called defense.

Because it takes time to assemble the troops after they are spread out, and then the response speed of the troops on the entire defense line will be reduced. This is a result that every commander does not want to see.

"What time is it?" I don't know how many times, the goblin battalion commander looked at the deputy battalion commander beside him and asked nervously.

"It's four o'clock..." The deputy battalion commander looked at his pocket watch and gave a fairly accurate answer. It's not early in the northern hemisphere in January, and it's definitely still dark from four to five o'clock.

In fact, it won't get very bright before seven o'clock, but after six-thirty, you can more or less see the surrounding scenery clearly.

"Cheer up the soldiers! Reinforcements will arrive in two hours." The goblin battalion commander didn't know why, so he cheered up his men first.

In fact, no one is attacking now. What he said may not mean anything at all. But he still said it, and he said it seriously.

I don't know if it was because his earnest expectation really moved God, but as soon as he finished speaking, a series of explosions came from the entrance of the village.

"What's going on?" The explosion frightened the goblin battalion commander so much that he almost crawled under the table. He asked nervously, as if the people in the room might know something he didn't know.

"Boom!" At this moment, a shell fell into the yard outside the house where he was. The huge explosion blew away the windows of the room, and the dust rolled everywhere, scaring the officers of the battalion headquarters and running away.

"Enemy attack! Enemy attack! Enemy attack!" A soldier shouted loudly, but his shout was mixed with the continuous gunshots, making it seem a little weak.

Now all fools know that the enemy is attacking, but they really don't know anything else. They don't know the direction of the enemy's attack, nor do they know where the enemy has hit.

"Thud, tut, tut!" A series of gunshots struck, and the goblin soldiers who were running on the streets of the village were shot and fell to the ground, followed closely by a group of paratroopers from the Tang Empire.

Led by night fighting soldiers with rifles, they passed through the streets and broke into the goblin camp headquarters.

"Who are they?" A goblin guard saw these uninvited guests. He asked and was shot through the chest by a bullet.

The other guards panicked and quickly fired back, and the two sides started a melee in the courtyard of the battalion. The guards fell down one after another, and a paratrooper from the Tang Empire was also hit by a stray bullet and fell from the wall.

"There are enemies!" It was clear that the yard could no longer be defended. A goblin guard broke into the battalion headquarters and shouted to the people inside: "Retreat quickly!"

"What?" The goblin battalion commander who had just come to his senses exclaimed in disbelief: He really didn't expect that the enemy was already outside his door.

"Thud, tut, tug!" At this time, the last goblin guard in the courtyard fell to a series of gunshots, and seven or eight Tang Empire paratroopers swarmed in and rushed into the courtyard that had been temporarily requisitioned as a headquarters.

"Bang!" The goblin battalion commander was so determined that he pulled out the pistol from his waist and fired a shot at the door, forcing the paratroopers who were about to rush in to retreat.

"Hold on! Our people will be here soon!" The goblin battalion commander found a table as a cover and shouted loudly, raising his pistol.

Beside him, the deputy battalion commander and several officers all drew out their pistols and shouted that they would fight to the end with the Tang paratroopers outside the house.

The next second, a grenade rolled in from the door, and the goblin officers who saw it were frightened out of their wits for a moment.

They fled in all directions, but couldn't find a bunker for a while. As a result, the grenade exploded, knocking everyone in the room away instantly.

Before the smoke had time to disperse, the paratroopers rushed into the house. They fired at the grunting goblins on the ground and killed all the wounded soldiers who were still struggling.

"Safe!" The Tang paratrooper shot twice at the last goblin officer whose face was covered in blood to confirm that he was not alive. He raised his rifle and shouted to his companions.

This is a tactic they have long been familiar with: two shots to the chest and one to the head. The gods shook their heads when they saw it. If you still want to be safer, eight shots to the body and five to the head...

In short, the textbook says that there are no carbon-based organisms that cannot be dealt with with one magazine. If there is, then change the magazine and continue...

Xiang Ziyu quickly moved forward in the trench at the entrance of the village. His troops had already cleared two lines of defense. He wanted to clear the remaining two lines of defense before the enemy could react.

This chapter is not over yet, please click on the next page to continue reading! These mirage troops obviously have little combat experience. The opponent has not deployed a machine gun position on the commanding heights in the village, nor is it ready to launch illumination bombs.

In fact, they never expected that the paratroopers from the Tang Empire would arrive tonight. The goblins had been focusing on defending against the landing troops from the Tang Empire.

During the years of war with the Great China Empire, the paratroopers of the Tang Empire never participated in the war, which made many people forget the great reputation of the Tang Empire's paratroopers.

What's more, the most popular DC-3 transport aircraft in the world, that is, the Type 47 transport aircraft, has no way of taking off from the Tang Empire and flying to the Mirage Kingdom to airdrop paratroopers, so the Mirage Kingdom has never paid attention to paratrooper defense.

Another reason is that the Mirage Kingdom has always believed that their Zero fighter jets can defend their own airspace, so they really did not expect that the first wave of attacks from the Tang Empire would be launched from the sky.

The entire outer defense line of Leping Village is facing the outside. No one can imagine that the attack will come from the flanks or from behind.

The goblins who were attacked even kept cursing, shouting that they were their own people, and asking people from inside the village not to shoot.

Unfortunately, their explanation only attracted more bullets. The Tang Empire's rifle and grenade attacks were quite accurate, and when paired with special forces equipped with night vision goggles, clearing the battlefield was a piece of cake.

"Stop fighting! We are our own people! We are our own people!" When Xiang Ziyu continued to attack the next trench, the goblins inside still couldn't figure out the situation. They waved to Xiang Ziyu and waited.

After checking the opponent's height, I realized that it was really the enemy who came out of the village.

"It's the Tang Dynasty! It's the Tang Dynasty! Damn it!" The goblin who was the first to see the Tang Army's paratroopers was so frightened that he quickly retracted his head, but the comrades beside him were not so lucky. The bullets swept over and penetrated their heads.

forehead.

"They are already close! Grenade! Throw the grenade!" The goblin company commander who retracted his head nervously reminded his soldiers.

Just when these goblin soldiers took out the grenades from their waists, the grenades thrown by the paratroopers of the Tang Empire had already rolled into the trench and fell at their feet.

"Boom!" Along with the explosion of several grenades, the goblins in the trench lay on the ground in a mess, and there was no sound anymore.

"Company Commander! It's all done!" A young paratrooper jumped into the trench and shouted excitedly to Xiang Ziyu.

He was excited to move forward, but the landmine under his feet exploded, and he was thrown away.

"Damn it! Damn it!" Xiang Ziyu was also thrown to the ground by the explosion. When he got up, there was only a buzzing in his ears.

He shook his head, struggled to stand up, looked down, and saw the body under him that was missing a leg.

"Don't go down! There are booby traps! These bastards!" Xiang Ziyu cursed in distress, and then reminded others: "There are mines! Be careful! There are mines! Watch your step! Damn it!"

"How dare these bastards use landmines?" A soldier cursed angrily. The most terrifying thing about landmines is that they can cast a psychological shadow on everyone on the battlefield.

"Check if there are any wounded! Someone here needs a medic!" Xiang Ziyu turned around and shouted. He was not sure if the soldier was dead, and he didn't even know if he was injured.

He touched his body, but did not touch any wet areas. Under the moonlight, he did not see anything black on his palms, and he did not feel any pain in his body.

The medical soldiers ran over and helped Xiang Ziyu check whether there were any holes in Xiang Ziyu's body that were spurting blood, regardless of the fact that the battle was not over yet.

The gunfire was still intensive, and another platoon had already begun to exterminate the remaining Mirage soldiers in the village. There were shouts and shouts everywhere, and soon a fire broke out in the village. It was set by the Mirage people themselves, and they set their houses on fire.

All the civilians inside and themselves... were burned to death.
