1154 Mirage's Armored Power

There are a total of 5 armored divisions in the Mirage. These troops are the most valuable treasures of the army and are generally not used.

Each of the five armored divisions is the 1st Armored Division, equipped with 4 models of tanks, which looks like a pot of random stew.

There was no way, after the Mirage State spent a lot of resources on the navy, the army became a small doormat and could only make do with some outdated equipment.

It's not quite accurate to say that. The Mirage troops were reluctant to eliminate any equipment, so they managed to make up five so-called armored divisions.

According to the standards of the Tang Army, these armored divisions are not even fully equipped: an armored division of the Tang Army is equipped with close to 500 tanks, while an armored division of the Mirage Army is equipped with less than 400 tanks.

What is sad is that these 400 tanks have to be divided into four different models, which is simply a nightmare for logistics.

The good news is that Mirage's armored forces have no need to go abroad for combat due to geographical constraints, so it doesn't matter if the logistics are stretched a little.

The bad news is that the logistics are really stretched, and they can only barely keep these armored divisions able to fight in the homeland.

The four different types of tanks equipped by the Mirage Army include: the oldest Cyric 2 tank, which uses a gasoline engine, has thin armor and weak firepower, and is almost indistinguishable from a target.

The Mirage Armored Forces themselves also gave this tank the nickname "taxi". Under normal circumstances, its task is to "make up the numbers".

The second type of tank is the improved Cyric 2 tank made by Mirage itself. It is named Mirage 1. It has thickened armor and uses a more powerful 90 mm caliber short-barreled gun.

The Type 2 tanks are a little stronger.

But this kind of enhancement has almost no effect on today's battlefield, so this type of tank can only keep up with the main tanks.

The above two tanks are already considered "waste utilization" equipment in the Mirage Armored Forces. They are not eliminated just because they are reluctant to part with them, not because they are very useful.

Under normal circumstances, the Mirage Army will leave these tanks behind to carry infantry to follow, using them as a kind of armored vehicles.

The third type of tank is the production line purchased by Mirage from Cyric, which is the M10 tank destroyer blueprint sold by the Datang Group through waste recycling.

The overall performance of this thing is pretty good, at least it is much more reliable than the first two tanks. When Cyric sold the production line and drawings of this tank, he installed it on the turret of an American tank destroyer.

A top cover makes it a kind of tank.

Its weapon is a 76 mm caliber cannon with high bore pressure and straight trajectory. It can be regarded as a true tank gun. In addition, the thickness of the armor has been increased a lot, and the front armor also uses an inclined design, so the protective performance is also improved.

good.

As a "medium tank", the paper data of this new tank, called the Cyric 5 tank, are at least World War II level, and its overall performance is quite good.

The Mirage Army also likes this tank very much, and it is indeed the main tank equipped with the most by the Mirage Army. The Mirage Army plans to produce a total of 1,000 such tanks, and the plan is for each armored division to equip 200 of them.

However, in actual deployment, the Cyric 5 tanks were given priority in equipping Mirage's most elite 1st Armored Division. This armored division equipped 260 tanks at once.

The 4th Armored Division, which was also deployed on the main island, also had to take away 240 vehicles, and the rest were divided among the other armored divisions. As a result, at the end of the day, each of the remaining three divisions was equipped with only more than 100 vehicles.

Until the Tang army invaded the South Island, a total of about 890 Cyric 5 tanks were produced, and the plan to produce 1,000 tanks was not completed. Later, the Tang army bombed the island on a large scale, and the production line of this tank was destroyed again, and another 100 tanks were produced intermittently.

With multiple vehicles, we can barely make up the production volume.

But everyone knows that at this time, the 2nd and 3rd Armored Divisions were almost destroyed in the South Island, and the tanks produced could not make up for the losses.

The birth of Mirage's last tank was also forced out by the Tang Army. After all, reality is always cruel. New tanks of the Tang Empire emerged one after another. The Cyric 5 tank was obviously unable to meet future combat needs in terms of protection and firepower.

Therefore, Mirage had to develop a brand new heavy tank on its own. On the basis of the Cyric 5 tank, it added thicker armor and a long-barreled 90mm caliber gun, and barely made up a new type of heavy tank.

A new tank that can compete head-on with the Panther tank.

The new tank is called the Mirage Type 2 tank. It is very slow and has average off-road performance. The advantage is that it has thicker armor and more powerful artillery.

Brand-new tanks consume more steel and waste more man-hours, so the output is less. Since the war started, only a total of twenty tanks have been produced, and there is no time to replenish them.

As of the start of the Battle of the Main Island, Mirage had lost about 300 Cyric Type 5 tanks, 70 Mirage Type 2 tanks, 110 Mirage Type 1 tanks, and 210 Cyric Type 2 tanks on the South Island...

The 2nd Armored Division and the 3rd Armored Division were completely wiped out, and when they fled back to the new island, there was not a single tank available. Many valuable tank crews also died on the new island, and less than ten of them escaped back to the main island.

Therefore, on the surface, Mirage now only has three armored divisions: the 1st, 4th and 5th. However, the army general Mirage still gritted his teeth and reorganized the 2nd and 3rd Armored Divisions.

It's just that...the equipment level and combat effectiveness of these two armored divisions have plummeted: the soldiers are all new recruits, and their combat effectiveness is very limited; the number of tanks is insufficient, the models are chaotic, and the condition is also poor.

In fact, from the beginning of the war to the present, Mirage has only produced a total of more than 100 Cyric 5 tanks and more than 20 Mirage 2 tanks. These tanks were evenly divided between the two annihilated tanks that were in urgent need of equipment.

Armored division.

The number of tanks has been increased to about 100.

In order to give these two armored divisions a certain combat capability, Mirwuk equipped the two divisions with more than a dozen anti-tank guns and trucks and motorcycles, and also stuffed some suicide anti-tank fighters carrying "thorn mines"

Going in finally gave these two divisions a little bit of combat effectiveness.

Speaking of stabbing thunder... I have to explain that the Mirage Kingdom does not have useful shaped armor-breaking charging technology. Their stabbing thunder... is basically an explosive pack...

Its anti-armor effect is achieved entirely by stacking explosives. Because with enough explosives, it can indeed destroy enemy tanks. Anti-tank operators who can use mines to stab...then there will really be no bones left.

Therefore, Mirage now has a total of about 1,400 combat tanks, of which about 400 are old models, 200 are heavy tanks, and about 800 are Cyric 5 tanks.

About 400 of these tanks are deployed on the North Island, which is the entire strength of the 5th Armored Division, and the remaining 1,000 are on the main island.

Phantom Vuk planned to use these three divisions and about 1,000 tanks to give the Orc landing force a small "shock".

Of course, under the premise that the Tang Empire controlled the air, initiating a large-scale tank battle was basically the same as asking for death, and there was no way for Mirwuk to invest all 1,000 tanks in a battle by relying on cunning logistics.

He planned to send out the 4th Armored Division first to launch a large-scale counterattack on the east side of the Orc landing site. If it succeeded, then he would have the 1st Armored Division deployed on the west side of the Orc landing site attack and drive the Orcs into the sea in one fell swoop.

In fact, the 4th Armored Division could not mobilize its entire army. After receiving the order, the Mirage commander who commanded the division left old models with little combat effectiveness and slower heavy tanks in his defense zone.

Inside.

He assembled about 200 Cyric 5 tanks that could be deployed immediately, planning to advance in the dark near the orc-controlled area and launch a sudden attack at dawn.

There is only one chance. If he can get his tanks to charge, he can get entangled with the Orc troops and reduce the suppressive power of the Tang Air Force.

If he failed, they would be greeted by Tang Army's planes that day, and they would probably lose more than half of their tanks.

On the side of the Orcs, Shan Lu waited for his Orc 1st Armored Division. This division was established with the assistance of the Tang State. The entire Armored Division had 500 No. 4 tanks, was fully reorganized, and was large in scale.

In order to support these tanks, the entire armored division is also equipped with more than 1,500 trucks of various types, 20 towed 155mm caliber howitzers, and 20 Wildbee self-propelled artillery modified on the No. 4 chassis. The entire division has multiple troops and can independently

Complete various combat missions.

After the armored division landed, Shanru felt that he had finally gained a firm foothold. He placed this division at the core and prepared to use it as a general reserve force.

You can't blame Shanlu for not wanting to use this armored division. The orcs actually don't have many heavy weapons. This division is his treasure, and it's normal to not use it easily.

The current situation is that the Ork 2nd Infantry Division is on the west side of the landing site, the Ork 1st Infantry Division and the 6th Infantry Division are on the north, the Ork 3rd Infantry Division and the 8th Infantry Division are on the east, and the Ork 1st Armored Division and the 5th Infantry Division are on the east side.

The infantry division is in the center as a reserve.

At this moment, the Orcs' 4th and 7th Infantry Divisions are still floating on the sea, but despite this, the Orcs' troops ashore are still close to 100,000!

The ability to quickly send so many orc troops ashore was thanks to the Tang State's terrifying shipping capabilities. Of course, the Mirage troops gave up the defense of the coastline and had no submarines or aircraft to launch harassing attacks on the fleet, which was also part of the reason.

It can be seen from the map that in the direction where the Mirage's 4th Armored Division launched its attack, only the 2nd Infantry Division of the Orcs was defending, and the strength was indeed slightly insufficient.
