1676 non-stop alarm

When thunder and lightning attack planes began to appear in the sky over Ironforge, the dwarf commanders who were familiar with the Tang Army knew that their hard days were about to come.

The range of the Thunderbolt is actually not particularly large. It is a relatively typical frontline support aircraft. Its combat radius is only about 500 kilometers, so it cannot carry out strategic bombing missions.

So when this kind of aircraft began to appear, it proved that the ground troops of the Tang Army were not far away from here.

What's even more frightening is that the ground suppression capability of this aircraft is really too strong. The shock it brings to the dwarf ground troops is not comparable to the attack capability of an invader that drops bombs from a distance.

The two engines installed on the rear and upper sides of the fuselage made a frightening noise, causing this strange-looking aircraft to fly over the roofs of the old buildings in Ironforge.

Under the interference of moderately dense anti-aircraft fire, the Thunderbolt shot away the rockets it carried before leaving in a swaggering manner.

A row of exaggerated craters were left on the ancient streets, which were the traces left by the aircraft cannon shells dropped by the Thunder attack aircraft when they strafed rockets.

It was Raiden's iconic weapon. The 30mm caliber cannon hit the asphalt road, leaving a crater larger than a plate. Such an array of craters made the onlookers tremble with fear.

At a crossroads, several dwarf soldiers were helping to carry anti-aircraft cannon shells. This old 76mm anti-aircraft cannon was deployed here with the purpose of covering the palace a street away as much as possible.

It's a pity that due to the problem of shooting range, it can only barely attack the enemy planes rushing along the street. As for the two sides, the tall buildings blocked the gunners' sight, and they couldn't see anything at all.

In fact, even if it could be seen, this anti-aircraft gun could not keep up with the speed of the Tang Army's aircraft. It was so old that it could barely even intercept piston aircraft.

The reason why it is still in the equipment sequence is entirely because the dwarves really have no other anti-aircraft weapons to choose from: only the old production line of this artillery can still produce it, so they can only make do with this weapon.

Fighting.

The new anti-aircraft artillery production line is in Ironforge, which has been paralyzed by the Tang Army's bombing. The old anti-aircraft artillery production line is in other cities further south, and there are three factories that can produce it, so it is still working hard to manufacture it.

"There's no way to hit the plane here, we can't even see that guy." The gunner complained with some annoyance. He could only hear the roar of the Thunderbolt's engine just now, but couldn't see the plane at all.

They had no choice but to fire at the sky. They couldn't even adjust the height of the fuse, so they could only set it randomly based on experience.

Fortunately, the plane did not stay long and left after running out of ammunition. Otherwise, it would really look like these anti-aircraft artillery troops were very incompetent.

A rocket hit the building, causing a fire. So as soon as the air defense sirens stopped, the fire truck sirens could be vaguely heard echoing in the distance.

Next to the collapsed building was a nervous crowd, as well as a group of soldiers who came to maintain law and order. Not many people spoke, everyone was just getting more and more accustomed to the sight of war right in front of them.

"This is already the best position nearby." An artilleryman said helplessly. When they were forced to set up anti-aircraft guns in the city, they no longer cared about issues such as shooting boundaries.

In order to make the city's anti-aircraft firepower appear stronger, the dwarves even habitually placed anti-aircraft machine guns on the roofs, but this method still had no great effect.

The Tang Army's planes were flying too high and too fast. There was no way for dwarf machine gunners without professional air defense training to effectively intercept these planes.

In fact, most of their anti-aircraft machine guns do not have the ability to shoot down lightning: modern attack aircraft are equipped with bulletproof steel plates, and their damage resistance is really strong.

Even if bullets occasionally hit the aircraft, attack aircraft such as Thunder and Lightning can return calmly with injuries, and only a few will be shot down.

Of course, if it is hit by a 76mm caliber anti-aircraft gun, that is another story. Unfortunately, there are really very few 76mm caliber anti-aircraft guns that can hit the lightning attack aircraft that come and go like the wind.

From the beginning of the war to the present, the dwarves' old anti-aircraft guns have achieved only a handful of achievements. One of the more glorious ones happened to hit a hovering Hind gunship. The rest can only be described as not worth mentioning.

.

A few infantrymen were helping to build sandbags around the anti-aircraft guns, but their movements were not very fast. The gunners were not idle. After carrying the replenished ammunition, they began to remove the fired shell casings from their bunkers.

In short, everyone is very busy, busy with anxiety, confused and helpless.

Under such circumstances, there are still a large number of trucks transporting civilians to the suburbs every day, more and more people are repairing trenches, and sometimes even women have to participate in labor.

As supplies became increasingly scarce, the army no longer even provided sufficient water and food for the civilians who built trenches. They could only return to their homes after working and find ways to fill their stomachs.

Everyone was talking about the Tang aircraft that appeared in the sky. After all, the intruder attack planes flying high and high did not have such a strong visual shock.

Another situation that made everyone fearful was that the Tang Army's attack planes began to drop bombs into the city. The attacks on the factory area seemed to have spread. No place in Ironforge was safe anymore.

Before the dwarf anti-aircraft artillerymen at this intersection could take a breath, the damn air defense siren resounded again, and soon another Thunder attack aircraft appeared in people's sight.

It hovered overhead, circling irregularly, as if it was looking for some high-value target.

Soon, a MiG-3 fighter jet came over and tried to shoot down the mighty Tang Army aircraft. The two sides struggled in the sky for about a minute, and the MiG-3 was finally shot down.

Seeing their own plane being shot down by the Tang Army, all the dwarves on the ground sighed with regret.

The MiG-3 fell to the ground dragging a long plume of black smoke, and the harassed Thunder attack aircraft seemed to have lost its temper and dived down, roaring at the ground.

Tracer bullets hit the ground, rockets exploded between the buildings, and the ground of Ironforge boiled again in just a moment.

On this day, Ironforge's air defense siren seemed to have never stopped, it kept echoing, and kept echoing.
