274 Not enough blood

"Prepare for hand-to-hand combat!" The young officer fired at the table. The bullet hit a picture frame hanging on the table, leaving a bullet hole in Grandpa King's head, and then threw away the rifle in his hand.

.

He drew out the long sword from his waist, and the soldiers held their rifles with bayonets already inserted, waiting for their last moment to arrive.

The table opposite was getting closer and closer, and the rebel soldiers behind the table seemed to see hope. They shouted wildly and desperately pushed forward with four table legs.

"Kill!" The moment the enemy's table approached the door, the young officer was the first to rush out from the side. Without giving the opponent a chance to react, he raised his head high and pulled the trigger of his pistol at the crowd behind the table.

.

The crisp gunfire of the revolver echoed in the corridor. Among the crowded rebels, a soldier screamed and fell down after being shot.

The young officer guarding the door aimed a shot at another rebel who stuck his head out, and then several guards with bayonets rushed out from behind him.

These guards held their rifles flat, with the butts pointing upwards, and stabbed their bayonets downwards at an angle, stabbing down the rebel who was pushing the table in the front row.

In an instant, five or six rebels fell down screaming, and the guards who rushed out seemed to have regained their advantage at this time.

They pressed their shoulders against the thick table, and together they pushed the table back about half a meter.

However, there were too many rebels in the corridor. These people were so densely packed, some were holding guns, and some were carrying long swords, that it was impossible to see the end at a glance.

These rebel soldiers also held up the table. They were outnumbered, and after a moment of cowardice, they cheered up again.

The soldiers on both sides were wrestling with each other against a table, and the smaller group watched as they were pushed back to the door little by little.

"Bang!" The young officer raised his revolver and fired again, one shot after another, until all the bullets in the cylinder were exhausted.

But before he could reload, the rebels, who were outnumbered, also had officers and soldiers, and fired back.

The kingdom guard who was standing next to the young officer was shot in the head. He lay down without even having time to scream. His blood splashed on the other guards' bodies and faces, and it was still warm.

hot.

As time passed, more and more kingdom guards fell. The two sides stabbed each other blindly across the table. In the end, the side with more people had the advantage.

After two more guards were stabbed and fell, the young officer also consumed all the bullets in his pistol.

He pressed his head against the table, gritting his teeth and pushing the table, but his feet were still pushed backwards. He gritted his teeth and pressed his face against the table, but still could not stop the table from moving forward.

Suddenly, he felt something stabbing him in the back, and he could feel liquid spreading in his clothes.

Then, he felt something scratched his neck again. He couldn't free his hands to touch it to see if he was injured. He could only hold his hands on the table and did not dare to move even half a minute.

Then, he felt something stabbing his shoulder again, and then felt something stabbing him where he had just been stabbed.

He could see the bright red blood wet his clothes, and the viscous liquid dripped down his collar and onto the marble floor under his feet.

He could feel his strength passing away, and he could feel himself retreating faster and faster.

"Ah!" With strong unwillingness, he suddenly roared, and the table seemed to be pushed back by him.

A year and a half ago, he was just a poor boy. He just helped his mother dry fish at the port of Bunas every day to supplement the family income.

Until one day, a friend told him the news that there was a school that recruited students for free. The courses there were very interesting, and every day the teachers would tell many interesting things that they had never heard of.

Then, he went.

There he learned addition and subtraction, and swordsmanship and fighting.

He still clearly remembers one class where the teachers showed them the magic of the steam engine. It was the first time that he saw such a huge machine, and it turned by itself, driving a whole row of machine tools.

In school, he discovered for the first time that there was something worthy of his nostalgia in the world. He cherished the brothers in the dormitory who had lived together for more than a year, and he cherished the girls in class who were willing to look at his smile.

He never imagined that he could have such a wonderful life in his whole life.

If I were more courageous, would I dare to send that letter to "Queen" You Lin? If my score were higher, would I be able to get Mr. Tang's scholarship? If I...

His consciousness began to blur, but he still stubbornly stood on the table and refused to take a step back. He was still only a 22-year-old young man, but he was roaring like a wild beast at the end of this gorgeous corridor.

Thank you...Thank you, Mr. Tang Mo, you have taught me a lot of truths, and I can only repay you a little bit...I'm sorry.

Step by step, the table finally stopped, near the middle of the corridor. Because there were too many corpses, it was too heavy, so he couldn't push it another inch.

And he really had no strength left and wanted to take a rest.

"It's okay." A familiar voice sounded from the other side of the table, and then a young officer turned over the table and jumped to his side.

The young officer, who was covered in blood, suddenly lost all his strength. He fell down, but someone stretched out his hand and held him in his arms.

"I'm holding on." As the young officer spoke, blood foam spurted out from his mouth. The bayonet cut through his blood vessels and pierced his heart and lungs, but he didn't feel any pain at all.

"My grades...are not as good as yours...you...forgot..." The young man in his arms slowly closed his eyes: "Help me...take care of...my...mom."

The last words took all his strength. The young officer holding him lowered his head and couldn't see any expression. He hugged the body in his arms with all his strength. He just choked with sobs and responded softly: "Okay."

"Who did it?" He laid the body flat, folded his classmate's hands on his chest, and stared at the bloody dandelion ring on his finger. The young officer who had come all the way but was still a step too late stood up and said gloomily.

Asked.

His voice floated in the corridor, like a vicious ghost that wanted to eat people: "Who did it?"

"No need to ask." The King of Dorne walked to the officer's side, looked down at the body lying on the marble floor, covered in sticky blood, and his tone was equally gloomy and terrifying.

Then, he suddenly raised his head, looked at the rebel soldiers who were being held in custody, and issued an order in a cold voice: "Anyone who participated in the rebellion will be executed!"

"Bang!" A soldier pulled the trigger, and the rebel he pointed the gun at covered his chest and leaned against the wall, sliding to the ground.

"Bang! Bah! Bah!" The next second, gunfire broke out in the corridor. Those rebel soldiers who just thought they were in sight of victory and pushed the table close to the door fell one after another under the gunfire.

"I didn't shoot, I'm still far from the table!" A rebel soldier shouted desperately, but before he could finish shouting, he was shot in the head.

A large pile of rebel corpses was piled in the corner, and blood spread and flowed everywhere along the flat marble floor.

This coup, or rebellion, is destined to be bloody and cruel, and no one can change it.

"I promised him... to make him my captain of the guard!" Looking down at the young body lying on the ground, the King of Dorne shed tears amidst the gunfire.

Even the King of Dorne, who had seen a lot and felt that he was skilled in power and hard-hearted, was in tears at this moment.

The more people experience, the more they value the most honest and simple feelings as treasures. As a king, having a minister who remains loyal at critical moments made the King of Dorne feel warm.

The chair that the lonely scholar sat on was too cold, so the warmth made his eyes that had been dry for a long time moisten.

"Sumir and Sirik's people are outside, Your Majesty." The angry young officer looked down at the corpse of his classmate, seemingly dissatisfied with the smell of blood in the air.

There is still too little blood here, there are still too few corpses here, so few...how can it be enough? How can it be worthy of my brother? The scene is not spectacular enough! There is not enough blood shed!

"Those bastards! I'm going to kill them myself!" The King of Dorne clenched his fists and said through gritted teeth.

"Leave it to me. Death, for them... is relief." The young officer raised his head, with blood still on his face.

"Okay!" King Dorne agreed without thinking, and then he remembered something: "By the way, are you his classmate?"

"Yes." The young officer replied absentmindedly as he watched his men carry the table aside.

"Your troops are now my guards, and you will temporarily act as the captain of the guards!" King Dorne ordered: "Send someone out and summon the ministers!"

"Most people can't come." The young man in fine clothes who had just galloped on the street stepped over the corpses of several rebels and walked to the King of Dorne: "Many people participated in the rebellion, and there are still some who have not.

He defected to the rebels and was killed by the rebels."

"Also, I have some news for you..." He knelt down on one knee and put his hand on his junior's forehead, as if performing some kind of ritual.

Then, after a few seconds of silence, he whispered to the King of Dorne without raising his head: "The army of the Kingdom of Shiron has crossed the border... The news has just been sent."

----------

I haven't been in good health these past two days, and my condition is very bad. I'll make up for it slowly first, and let me adjust it... I'll make up for it when I recover. I'll definitely make up for the 3 more updates I owe you!
