Chapter 85

In the Ninth Peak, the core of the Lingxiao Sect, the disciples in the Mysterious Pass realm basically practice all day long.

Apart from cultivating wholeheartedly in order to achieve breakthroughs, I have nothing else to do and I dare not distract myself from other things.

No matter how many people you know here, it is of no use, no matter how good your relationship is, if you are still unable to break through, then they will enter the eighth core peak, and you will wait for a long time to break through, and as a result, you will reach the non-core level.

I went to practice at the outer peaks.

Then we couldn't see each other for years, decades, etc.

In the future, even if there is a chance to meet again, you are a low-level monk, and I am already a mid-to-high-level major monk.

We met, what did we talk about?

Reminiscing about old times?

How can there be so many good old memories.

Even if there is, once we have narrated it once, it is enough to narrate it, right?

Then what.

Then you continue to be your little monk, and others continue to be other people's mid-level and high-level monks.

You can't commit a crime even if you want to.

Not all disciples understand this principle, but most of them do. And that small group, in such a large environment, either slowly understand it, or even if they don't understand it, they can't find anyone to play with it.

Therefore, the disciples of Core Ninth Peak, no matter their age or how long they have been in the mountain, what they do every day is to practice and practice again and again.

Most people actually behave similarly to Ye Xiaoye.

This is also similar to how children and teenagers from a few years old to teenagers on earth study all day long.

——If you don’t study, what do you want to do?

From the Profound Entrance Realm to the Awakening Realm, from the Ninth Core Peak to the Eighth Core Peak, the situation began to change.

The main reason is that the time span for enlightenment is too long. It often starts in ten years, and then it often lasts for a hundred years, or even more years. It is not uncommon.

During such a long period of time, no one can practice as wholeheartedly as in the Xuan Guan realm, and practitioners will also go through many stages of life during this process, such as from childhood to adolescence to middle age to old age, etc.

Here I want to talk about the issue of lifespan.

In this world, pure ordinary people have a life span of about one hundred and twenty to one hundred and fifty years.

To die before one is a hundred years old is to die young.

And if you have even the slightest connection with the spiritual world, and can get some elixirs and other things to eat from time to time, it is possible to live over two hundred years old.

That's considered longevity.

In other words, the life span of ordinary people can be roughly divided into three levels: less than 100 years old, premature death; 120-150 years old, normal; 180-220 years old, long life.

For cultivators, as long as they achieve great success in condensation, they can "live out their days".

Probably around three hundred years old.

However, it is impossible to maintain the Great Condensation of Yuan by simply condensing the Yuan. In later years, as the age gradually approaches the end of life, the cultivation level will gradually decline.

If you really want to "condensate the essence and achieve great success", you have to advance to the Xuan Guan realm.

Even if a monk in the Xuan Guan realm cannot make any further breakthroughs in his lifetime, there is still no problem in keeping his body's energy and blood in a state of great condensation.

Therefore, excluding accidental reasons, the lifespan of a Xuan Guan realm monk is basically 300+.

But it's only a little over three hundred, basically less than three hundred and five.

But when you reach the realm of enlightenment, it's completely different.

The moment one enters the orifice from the entrance, no matter what type of orifice is opened, the life span of the cultivator reaches more than 500 years.

From this perspective, a hundred years of practice is actually not too long.

But the real key issue is that once you enter the realm of enlightenment, practice is no longer just about immersing yourself in meditation and practicing diligently.

Over a long period of time, the body and mind of cultivators have been continuously changing, and the changes in consciousness are even greater. All these require cultivators to have time and space to adjust while focusing on cultivation.

.

Ordinary sects or cultivators may not have enough understanding of this.

Even if you have enough knowledge, you may not be able to make appropriate arrangements.

Then either it is too relaxed, and it is easy to relax and fall, or it is too tight, and it is too tight and tight, and then it is "dead" by the tension, which makes the practice lose the possibility of moving forward.

Or it is always swinging between the two, either too loose or too tight, and you can never find the right degree.

And generally speaking, it is still half-finished.

This makes the timeline for the awakening realm even longer, and various mundane things may be added to the process...

They are all piled up together, and then the life of a cultivator is probably like this.

This is the common ecology of the middle and lower levels of spiritual practice.

Therefore, the realm of enlightenment often has many names among monks who are not from major sects, either through word of mouth or in book records.

For example, "yellow sand realm" means a vast expanse of yellow sand, like a desert, with no edge visible and no edge left to walk.

For example, the "prosperity and decline state" means that when you have just entered the enlightenment, you are still young and middle-aged, but before you have emerged from the enlightenment, you are already old.

For example, the "realm of truth and delusion" means that in this realm, the practitioner's various understandings of practice and life will undergo complex changes, and they will always wander between truth and delusion, and only by crossing the boundary line between truth and delusion can they move toward

Shinichi.

And so on and so forth.

Behind every title is the understanding and summary of the enlightenment realm by generations of practitioners.

For a sect like Lingxiao Sect, starting from the Ning Yuan Realm and ending at the Earth Immortal Realm, there is a rich and complete inheritance system. This means that as long as your level is between the Ning Yuan Realm and the Earth Immortal Realm,

All questions regarding spiritual practice can be answered in the sect.

More often than not, you don’t need to look for answers. The sect has already prepared many, many, many questions for you!

In the enlightenment state, apart from practicing with concentration, a certain amount of time and space is needed for physical and mental adjustment.

Therefore, at the core eighth peak, Lingxiao Sect’s arrangement is:

〖Tibetan Scripture Pavilion〗

You can borrow a variety of books here, and most of these books are related to the enlightenment realm.

There are formal explanations of the exercises;

There are less formal spiritual insights;

There are travel notes, practice and life experiences of disciples in the Kaiqiao Realm going down the mountain;

And so on.

〖Seminar〗

It is not held between three or five friends, but the sect organizes a certain number of disciples to gather together regularly or irregularly. Everyone has to raise a topic about practice. This person first expresses his own opinion, and then

Everyone joins the discussion.

〖Mountain tour or banquet〗

This is held between friends and acquaintances, ranging from two or three people to more than a dozen or dozens of people.

The form is not limited, just follow your preferences.

After a cold year, everything is renewed.

Ye Xiaoye had been immersed in the monotonous practice at the eighth core peak for several months, and was finally broken.

At breakfast that day, he received another message from the sect, "Within three days, go to the Sutra Pavilion and read a book."

Okay, this is a direct mission.

Ye Xiaoye smiled slightly and didn't care about the three days. After dinner, he went straight to the Sutra Pavilion.

The distance was not close and the path was not familiar, but Ye Xiaoye knew the approximate location. After leaving the courtyard, he strolled all the way and soon saw a sign at the corner of the road, showing that the upper left corner was hidden.

In the Jing Pavilion, on the upper right is the viewing platform.

Naturally, choose the upper left leaflet.

This time around, no instructions were needed anymore. Ye Xiaoye just walked along the mountain road, with twists and turns along the way. After only about ten miles, he entered the Sutra-Tiding Pavilion.

It's not much different from libraries on Earth.

If I have to say the difference, it is that this Sutra Pavilion is very small, just a three-story independent building made of stone.

When Ye Xiaoye walked towards the small building, a young man came out of it with a book in his arms. The two of them looked at each other. After being stunned for a moment, they both nodded to each other, and then there was no conversation or anything. They just crossed paths.

And passed.

When you enter the door, you will find the front desk, let's call it the librarian.

Before Ye Xiaoye could speak, the middle-aged man said: "How many orifices have been opened?"

"Uh, one." Ye Xiaoye touched his head and said.

The middle-aged man smiled, without any sign of contempt, and looked quite gentle. However, he didn't say anything more. He just turned around and took out ten books from the shelf at the back and lined them up on the table.

"Here, ten books, pick one at random, and you can come back and change it after reading it."

Ye Xiaoye could just stand in front of this table and finish reading these ten books in less than a cup of tea.

But he didn't do that.

His eyes wandered over the ten books of varying thicknesses. After a while, Ye Xiaoye selected a book called "The Long Journey to Enlightenment".

"Why did you choose this one?" the middle-aged man asked.

"Why do you ask this?" Ye Xiaoye asked doubtfully.

"Because there are very few people who choose this book." The middle-aged man said, "For disciples like you who have just opened their eyes, only two or three people out of a hundred will choose this book for the first time.

"

After saying this, the middle-aged man looked at Ye Xiaoye.

That means I answered your question, and now it's your turn to answer me.

"I chose this book because, well, I feel that it is quite difficult to open the orifice. It has been several months and I still haven't been able to open the second orifice." Ye Xiaoye touched his head again.

"A few months, haha, a few months can't be called a long time." The middle-aged man said with an unclear smile, "Okay, you can take it back and return it when you finish reading it."

"Is it okay if I watch it for a month?" Ye Xiaoye said.

"One year is enough." The middle-aged man said, then turned around and quickly pulled out a book from behind the shelf on the left. Ye Xiaoye looked at it and saw that it was another book called "The Long Journey to Enlightenment".

"Haha." Ye Xiaoye smiled a little silly and touched his head for the third time, "Senior, goodbye! I'm going back."

"Welcome again." The middle-aged man said it very interestingly.

Holding the book, Ye Xiaoye walked back slowly like the young man he met when he came here just now.

The mountain road is wide and clean. Huge bluestones about ten meters wide are laid out piece by piece. At the joints of the bluestones, some small flowers and grass grow sporadically, making this cold and hard place a vivid background.

The little boy was walking on this huge mountain road. Looking from a distance, he also saw a lot of agility dotting the silence that seemed to last forever.
