As long as the practitioners practice step by step, generally speaking, at the intermediate level, they can open their eyes. This is just like winter turns to spring, and when spring warms up, the ice will definitely melt, the grass will flourish, and the flowers will bloom.
It all comes naturally.
But this is not the case with the Heavenly Eye.
The requirements of the Heavenly Eye are much higher!
Opening the aperture of the heaven and earth, allowing heaven and earth to invest a ray of "spiritual light" into the human body, is one of them.
As your cultivation level gets higher and higher, you will gradually open all the first-level main orifices in the body from the feet to the head, from the outside to the inside, so that there will be no dead ends in the flow, gathering and dispersion of qi and blood in the body. This is the second step.
This is the third step to open hundreds of orifices in the brain from primary to auxiliary and then to secondary auxiliary, in order to completely open up the channels connecting the eyes, ears, nose, tongue and other perceptions.

Anyway, the above three are the foundation!
This is the "normal opening method" of the Sky Eye.
Functionally speaking, if we borrow the Buddhist description on earth, the Heavenly Eye combines the "six consciousnesses" including "eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind" but is superior to the "seventh consciousness".

In fact, this description is not very accurate. From another perspective, the eye of heaven is actually the eye of creation and the eye of insight. It is only presented in the human body, but it breaks through the limitations of the human body.
Like eyes, you can see, but your vision is declining.
Just like the nose, you can smell, but this sense of smell also has a decline, and the sense of smell of humans and other animals, like hearing, has various vast differences.
This is not the case with the Heavenly Eye.
The Heavenly Eye, although it exists in the human body, actually does not completely belong to [human].
Based on Xu Guangling's current knowledge and understanding, it is more like that a monk's practice has reached a certain level, and then under the premise that the body meets certain conditions, the Tao, or nature, bestows some kind of insight into people.

Because there is a way to advance in the Heavenly Eye.
So whether it belongs to [man] or [heaven], or whether it is the joint possession of man and heaven, is actually a very complicated issue, involving many origin issues about life and the world.
At least Xu Guangling can't figure it out right now.
But it doesn't matter.
Where does the world come from, and what is the nature of the world?
What kind of existence is life to the world? Do all lives belong to the "tentacles" of the world itself? Is the life of one life from birth to death one of the countless billions in the world?
The emergence and disappearance of thoughts?
Wait, wait, these questions are not so easy to know.
Therefore, accepting the unknown is a "quality" that a life should have, and monks are no exception.
But since life begins, and since it becomes conscious, it will intentionally explore the unknown and turn the unknown into the known. This is also the innate "quality" of life!
From this perspective, a life, during its lifetime, constantly turns the unknown into the known, and constantly expands the content and boundaries of the known parts. This is originally an instinct of life, and it is probably also the destiny of nature.
Give life a meaning.
At least that’s one of the meanings!
And from this perspective, for humans, whether it is eyes, ears, nose, or tongue, they are the main tools for exploring the unknown.
As for "consciousness", it is even more so.
Where's the eye?
From this perspective, what kind of existence is the Eye of Heaven?
It's very simple, it's just a toolbox.
In other words, a "universal" tool.
Tools such as eyes, ears, nose, and tongue can only detect one side of something, but in fact, a thing has more than the four sides that can be detected by these four tools, and it is also more than "eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind."
These are the six aspects that can be detected by the so-called six senses.
Far more than that!
A thing, any thing in the world, including life and non-life, how many aspects does it have, or in other words, how many attributes does it have?
Time attribute?
Spatial properties?
Energy properties?
Xu Guangling didn't know.
A great master is a person relative to a monk, but in front of the great road and creation, from the beginning to the present, he has always been a baby and an apprentice.
There is growth, but it is only a drop in the ocean.
At this moment, the endless sea bathed Xu Guangling's entire body and mind with a mighty yet subtle indescribable power.
At this moment, Xu Guangling's body and mind formed a connection with the world outside.
At the connection, an invisible [whirlpool] appeared. The mighty power of creation, like the Milky Way flowing backward, poured into the whirlpool, and what this whirlpool led to was the Heavenly Eye located slightly in front of the middle of Xu Guangling's head.
At this moment, Xu Guangling's consciousness and even his entire mind were filled with only whirlpools and rotations.
The vortex, with its rotation, became faster and faster. The rotation, with its vortex, became larger and larger. It was so big that it seemed as if the whole world was spinning. It was so big that it seemed as if the whole world had turned into a huge whirlpool.
Xu Guangling's entire physical and mental consciousness seemed to be completely melted into this rotation and whirlpool, becoming one with it.
