Chapter 245

Xu Guangling is considered a new visitor to the park. He has been in this park for only two months, and he doesn't know whether or when the trees in the park will lose their leaves.

And these old people chatting on the side of the road must be considered old guests.

They, the trees in the park have lost their leaves abnormally this year, so it is probably an abnormality, and it should be fine. Why is it abnormal?

It may be due to climate.

But this is very possible, because there does not seem to be any climate anomaly.

So……

Xu Guangling could think of only one reason.

The three of them walked by normally, and Xu Guangling's heart was pounding, but the two old men showed no signs of it. Because they were not deeply involved or had limited understanding, it was probably impossible for them to connect this matter with Xu Guangling immediately.

But when he came to the outside of the park and there was no one nearby, Xu Guangling gave up.

He told the two old men his guess.

It was obvious that the two old men were shocked, whether they were shocked that the fog actually affected the decay of the trees, or that the three of them (actually Xu Guangling alone) could actually affect the trees in the entire park.

After pondering for a while, Mr. Zhang slowly said:

“In ancient China, there was a thought called ‘Unity of Nature and Man’. I believe you are familiar with this idea.”

Xu Guangling nodded.

"In China, whether it is Taoism, Confucianism or Buddhism, whether it is religion or culture, this kind of thinking is deeply permeated. It can also be said that this kind of thinking is the fundamental context and main source of all Chinese culture for thousands of years."

"Influenced by Chinese culture, the Japanese tea ceremony's harmony and respect for silence also expresses this idea."

After a pause, Mr. Zhang said calmly:

"In Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching, there is a description of a country with a destitute people: 'Neighboring countries look at each other, they hear the sound of cocks and dogs, and the people do not interact with each other until they grow old and die.'"

"This kind of simple ecology may have indeed existed in ancient times. However, as the times progress, the scope of human activities is expanding, and accordingly, the map and the earth are shrinking. The proposal of the global village is not news.

"

"Okay, this process is the process of unity."

"So, there is nothing wrong with unity. In the future, if our human civilization enters the space age, when people walk on the stars, they will further feel what the 'unity of man and nature' is, and by then, this idea will

It will definitely rise again, become a prominent school, and become the mainstream of society."

“There is nothing wrong with unity.”

At this point, Zhang Lao slightly intensified his tone:

"However, there is a fundamental problem here, and that is how to unite."

"The Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, the seven kingdoms of Yan, Chu, Qin, Qi, Han, Zhao and Wei, finally united into one, but the unified country was called Qin."

"The Central Plains and grasslands, the Central Plains and the frontiers, are finally unified, but the unified country is called China."

"This is true in China, and it is true in foreign countries as well."

"Traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine may be unified in the future, but after the integration, which one will be the master and which one will be the slave?"

"Eastern thought and Western thought may be unified in the future, but after the union, who will continue to exist and who will die?"

"so."

"Unity is the move towards harmony, but before harmony there is disharmony, with the east and west winds entangled and fighting each other, even to the point of bloodshed."

"Therefore, in ancient Chinese civilization, the unity of nature and man actually has another method, or another expression, and another level of description." At this point, Zhang Lao asked Xu Guangling: "I would like to say, it should be

Have you read the Yin Fu Jing?"

Xu Guanglingtou.

"Huangdi Neijing", "Shen Nong's Materia Medica", "Huangdi Yinfu Jing"...

This is another scripture about "climbing the dragon and attaching the phoenix".

In the past, Xu Guangling would have meditated on this article in his mind, but now, as his mind moved, the full text of the Yin Fu Sutra appeared in his mind. Xu Guangling did not need to think about it or recall it, but just looked at it.

"Heaven and earth are the thief of all things; all things are the thief of man; man is the thief of all things."

Mr. Zhang chanted slowly.

"All things are born, but they are born and die. All things nourish people, but they nourish and harm them. All things are human and animal, but animals also hurt them."

Xu Guanglingtou.

All things are born, but they are born and die. This does not need to be explained, everyone understands it.

Humans and animals are all things, but animals are also injured. This actually does not need to be explained. For example, humans and animals raise cattle and sheep, and sometimes they are very good to them. Not to mention ordinary careful care, high-end attention, such as playing music for cows and massaging them.

, are often seen in the news. Even if Xu Guangling doesn’t pay attention to these, he still sees them on the Internet from time to time.

However, what is the purpose of raising cattle and sheep? It is to "injure" them.

Among the three, both are very simple and straightforward, but as for everything that nourishes people, but nourishes and harms at the same time, this method is a little more complicated.

At least in the past, Xu Guangling wouldn't have understood it very well.

But since learning from Zhang Lao, especially in the past few days, he has been deeply aware of this through his own analysis of various daily ingredients through Shennong Jue and physical sensations.

Many food ingredients have both advantages and disadvantages for the human body.

Daily food ingredients are like this, but not so daily medicinal materials, then there is no need. It is exactly what Mr. Zhang taught him on the first day of acupuncture, that medicine is divided into three parts.

"This is also the specific meaning of 'Heaven's murderous intention, the stars will change their places; Earth's murderous intention, dragons and snakes will rise six; Man's murderous intention, the heaven and earth will turn over again.'" Mr. Zhang continued, "Well, people, faced with this situation

, what should be done?”

"The Yin Fu Jing explains this truth and also gives the answer."

"That is, 'The harmony of heaven and man establishes the foundation of all things.' 'The three thieves are suitable, and the three talents are at peace.' 'Yin and yang push each other and change will be smooth.'"

At this point, Mr. Zhang looked at Xu Guangling and smiled slightly:

"Heaven and earth, the thief of all things."

"Heaven and earth give birth to all things, and heaven and earth destroy all things. There is a reason for birth, and there is a reason for death."

"People nourish themselves by eating the five grains and hundreds of vegetables. This is the reason for their survival. However, when they get the reason for their life, they are also subject to the reason for their death. Doctors and health care experts choose the best of the five grains and hundreds of vegetables and eat them at the right time.

, eating in moderation is to promote life and avoid death, or to increase life and reduce death."

"Going a step further, doctors and health care experts use various methods such as guidance, feeding, and dieting, all of which hope to increase their lives and reduce their deaths."

"My master is nearly a hundred years old but only fifty years old. You, Master Chen, are over a hundred years old but are still frizzy. Your physical health is far better than that of ordinary people. This is a good life."

The quilt was Master Chen, and the quilt was frizzy. At this time, Mr. Chen had no reaction and just smiled lightly.

Old man Chen is over 100 years old?

Xu Guangling was slightly surprised, but actually it was not surprising.

"Have we two old guys achieved the ultimate goal of 'good living'?" Zhang Lao wrote, like a narrative but also like a question, like asking Xu Guangling but also like asking himself.

"Obviously not."

"Not only is it not extreme, it is also very shallow and insignificant."

"Based on the current situation, I would like to put it bluntly, you can feel the 'qi' of plants and trees and absorb and use it. This is a level or realm that is beyond and far beyond the level or realm of the two teachers. But it is also not the ultimate."

"There is a passage in the ancient theory of innocence at the beginning of the Nei Jing, I hope you can use it as a reference."

"In ancient times, there was a real person who held the heaven and the earth, grasped the yin and yang, exhaled the ** energy, and guarded the spirit independently. His muscles were as one, so he could live in the heaven and the earth without an end. This was the birth of his Tao."

“In the Middle Ages, there was a great person who was pure and virtuous, harmonious with Yin and Yang, and attuned to the four seasons. He was separated from the secular world, accumulated all his energy, and traveled between heaven and earth. He was able to see and hear in all directions. This would extend his lifespan.

The strong ones also belong to the real ones.”

"Then there are saints who live in harmony with heaven and earth, follow the principles of the eight winds, are comfortable with the worldly world, have no hatred or anger, do not want to leave the world, are obeyed, do not want to observe the world, and do not work outside.

The form is based on things, the inner part is free from the trouble of thoughts, taking comfort as the main task, taking self-satisfaction as the merit, the body is not broken, the spirit is not scattered, and it can be counted by hundreds."

"Then there are sages who regulate the heaven and earth, resemble the sun and the moon, identify the stars, obey the yin and yang, distinguish the four seasons, and follow the Tao from ancient times. They can also prolong life and have the best time."

Mr. Zhang chanted slowly.

Even if it is an endorsement, the old man's recitation is very unusual. There may be rhythm or no rhythm, but there is no doubt that it is very contagious.

"There is no need to go into details about ancient times, medieval times, etc. in this passage. There is also no need to go into details about real people, perfect people, saints, sages, etc. They are just names. But the four realms and levels in this passage

, I’d like to say that you might as well keep it in mind and consider it carefully.”

Xu Guangling nodded seriously.

This speech also benefited him a lot. He used that sentence to express, "Listening to your words is worth ten years of reading."

But to be honest, I definitely can’t afford it if I study for ten years.

Xu Guangling himself didn't know how much he could read and how much he could gain if he studied steadily and attentively for ten years with his current ability.

But another sentence is definitely worth it, that is, "Living with good people is like entering a house of orchids and not smelling their fragrance for a long time." Being around Mr. Zhang or two old people, receiving such teachings, too

There are so many, and today it can be overwhelming.

"So, regarding the park, I humbly say you don't have to have any psychological burden."

"I didn't know it before, but I will use it later."

"At the moment, you are just taking it unilaterally and using it. In the future, you may not be able to benefit from your ability. You still remember that tree, right?"

At the end, Mr. Zhang concluded like this.

Xu Guangling smiled and nodded.
