From the people I knew, I transferred to this ship.
This is a passenger ship traveling between Japan and China. Most of the passengers are Chinese and Japanese, but there are also people from other countries such as the United States and Germany.
Others are easy to distinguish, but there is some confusion between Chinese and Japanese ones. There are many of them, and there is no obvious difference in appearance. As for the language, the same cannot be said. There are many Chinese who speak Japanese and Japanese who speak Chinese.
And if you have been engaged in trade and other exchanges between the two sides, it will be even more difficult to tell.
Not only are outsiders incapable of distinguishing it, but they themselves may also be incapable of distinguishing themselves. Some things, step by step, bit by bit, slowly fade away over time.
Xu Guangling thought of the story of Meng's mother moving three times.
When Mencius was a child, their family lived close to the cemetery. Mencius was exposed to funerals and other things and imitated them. Meng's mother thought that this place was not suitable for the growth of her children, so she moved away.
They moved to the market. The market was bustling with people all day long, shouting about buying and selling, even livestock slaughtering, etc. Little Mencius probably quickly integrated into this environment. Then, Meng's mother moved again, and they moved to the Academy.
nearby……
In the beginning, human beings are inherently good. Their natures are similar, but their habits are far apart.
If you refuse to teach, your nature will change. The key to teaching is to be specialized.
In the past, Meng's mother chose a neighbor's place. Her son did not learn, so he lost his opportunity.
"Three Character Classic", an old-time children's reading book.
It is precisely because it is a children's reading book that it truly demonstrates its status.
That is the simplest and most popular thing, but it is also the real cornerstone of this group that has accumulated little by little over thousands of years.
The cornerstone is rarely seen and known, but it has always been silently playing a role. When you temporarily put your eyes down from various buildings, put them under your feet, put them on the earth, and put them on the starting point.
place, you will see it.
It is the cornerstone, not the building, that determines the true height of a group.
The building may collapse, but the foundation stone will not.
It is there and will always be there.
Even if all the buildings on the ground collapse and are destroyed, they can still be rebuilt again and again.
In the beginning, human beings are inherently good.
Is sex really inherently good?
not necessarily.
The theory that human nature is good, that human nature is evil, and that human nature is neither good nor evil are all found in our culture.
But the Three Character Classic is definitely good.
This is not truth, but choice.
Zilu stayed at Shimen. Chenmen said, "Xi Zi?" Zilu said, "It's from Kong." He said, "Who knows it's impossible and does it?"
When Zilu entered the city, the man guarding the city gate in the morning asked, "Hey, where are you from?" Zilu said, "You come from Confucius." The city guard said, "That's the one who knew he couldn't do something but did it.
Human?"
Knowing that something cannot be done but doing it is also a choice.
Life is what I want; righteousness is also what I want. You cannot have both, and you must sacrifice life for righteousness.
This is what the son taught by Meng's mother said.
This is not the truth, it is even contrary to human nature.
But it's also a choice.
Ji Kang, one of the Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove.
Ji Kang had a profound background and reputation. Sima Zhao actually valued him very much and needed his banner to win over the hearts of the family. As long as Ji Kang nodded slightly, the next step would be to become the Prime Minister immediately.
Dressed in purple.
But he just refused to nod.
Later, his head was chopped off by Sima Zhao.
Just cut it.
What does it mean to be beheaded today? Starting a business is difficult and involves many battles. Now I go to Quantai to recruit old men, and I will kill Yama with a hundred thousand banners.
Ji Kang was not as ambitious and passionate as Marshal Chen, but deep down they were both equally generous, stubborn, and high-spirited. It was just that the latter expressed it with passion, while the former only expressed it with silence.
Ji Kang knew that if he didn't nod his head, say certain words, or do certain things, he would be heading towards the abyss.
He knew it all too clearly.
However, from beginning to end, he remained silent.
Sometimes, silence is also the highest and most tragic answer.
When Li Si was about to be executed, his son said with deep regret: "Now I still want to take the yellow dog and go hunting with you outside the east gate. How can I do that?"
When Ji Kang was about to be executed, he just said one sentence, almost silently: "Guangling San is now extinct!"
Is he lamenting that the piece of music was cut off by him?
Maybe.
But the real expression of this sentence is probably to say, after I leave, how long can Ruan Ji, Xiang Xiu, and others persist under Sima Zhao's high pressure? If they should be demoted, they should be demoted.
Of course, I don't advise you.
There are always people who do not know their own abilities, live less than a hundred years, and often worry about being a thousand years old.
As we advance, we are also worried, and as we retreat, we are also worried. But when will we be happy? It must be said, "Be worried about the worries of the world first, and be happy after the happiness of the world." Hey! Who can I return to, Weisi people?
These are all choices.
And this group is precipitating and sublimating in such choices one after another.
Just like the evolution of individual life.
One person after another, year after year, life after life, generation after generation, over the ages, what has accumulated has become the cornerstone, what has been sublimated has become faith, and has become the spiritual guidance of many people.
Xu Guangling remembered the sentence in "Zuo Zhuan":
"The Supreme Being has established virtue, the second has meritorious service, and the third has established words. Even if it lasts for a long time, this is called immortality."
Then, the names of the sages that Mr. Zhang had told him in the study kept swaying in his mind one by one.
Lao Tzu, the recluse.
His deeds will not help or benefit the world.
But in the end, he left behind a "Tao Te Ching".
"Knowing the male and guarding the female is the stream of the world. Knowing the white and guarding the black is the pattern of the world."
"Govern the country with integrity and use military force with admiration."
"If you want to eliminate something, you must strengthen it. If you want to weaken it, you must strengthen it. If you want to destroy it, you must strengthen it. If you want to take it, you must strengthen it."
Just five thousand words, but it condenses too much wisdom, a kind of wisdom that is close to the "fundamental" and does not need to be replaced and cannot be replaced.
About individuals, about family and country.
This is called standing up.
It lasts forever.
Librarian, helper.
Together with many people with lofty ideals, we can turn the tide and help the building before it collapses.
He did what he said, and he stayed with the country.
This is called meritorious service.
It lasts forever.
Su Shi, an ordinary scholar.
His words cannot be compared with Lao Tzu, his merits cannot be compared with those of a librarian, and his virtues are not great virtues. But he still uses his innocent heart, his loyal deeds, and his words and deeds to set an example for future generations.
Remember, read, and recite.
This is called virtue.
It lasts forever.
…
Whether they have established virtues, made meritorious deeds, or established their reputations, they have accomplished themselves and the group they belong to in the most suitable way.
Then let yourself become a glorious page in the history of the group.
They are the benchmark, but not all.
They are the building, but they are also the cornerstone.
There are great virtues, medium virtues and small virtues, there are great merits, medium merits and small merits, and there are great words, middle words and small words.
Regardless of whether they are big, medium or small, regardless of their merits and deeds, whether they are from previous generations or future generations, famous or unknown, all of them work together to create a term, "China".
What is China?
Because of the beauty of the uniforms, it is called Hua, and because of the great etiquette, it is called Xia.
In fact, it is to live and live with brilliance.
As small as oneself, as large as one’s family and country.
China is the name of a country.
China is a yearning, a pursuit, a spirit, and even a belief.
It was originally proposed by one or a few people, and then in the long river of time, it was recognized by countless people and inspired countless people to yearn for an ideal about themselves and their country. It was a real "Peach Blossom Spring" made out of nothing.
.
It is rooted in the heart, planted in actions, and then appears on this earth through the hearts and actions of thousands of people.
"Xu Jun, suppose that Confucius was resurrected and visited China and Japan today. I wonder which one should be regarded as barbarian and which as summer?"
The day before yesterday, Ito Shizuishi questioned him, but Xu Guangling was silent.
At this moment, thinking about these words again, Xu Guangling began to smile.
There are some things that you don’t need to ask or answer.
From ancient times to the present.
Ancient times, those names one after another, famous and unknown.
At present, Mr. Zhang, Mr. Chen, Stationmaster Xu, Lao Qian, Lao Lin and Lao Tan, in addition to these, there are so many, so many, so many in the land of Kyushu...
This is China.
