Chapter 688 The Brightest Star

Zhu Xi once said: "Half the day you sit quietly and the other half you read."

This sentence was what he said to his students. It is unclear how his own practice is.

But judging from the many descriptions in his collection, meditation undoubtedly played an important role in his life.

Your Excellency died at the age of seventy.

It’s not considered premature, but it’s not considered longevity either.

However, one of the very important reasons is that he was dragged into the political storm in his later years. All kinds of unlimited blows came one after another, and his situation was extremely bad. Moreover, the will came from Jiuchongtian, and he would never wait for the day of sunshine.

.

It's hard to say how long he would have lived without this incident.

He is one of the representatives of Confucianism.

Not Tao, not Buddha.

Meditation, practice, etc., in the impression of ordinary people, belong to either Taoism or Buddhism, but in fact, most of the achievements and reputations in the three paths of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism in ancient China are related to this. This is what Mr. Zhang gave Xu at the beginning.

The first lesson in Guangling.

Xu Guangling now also teaches others.

Although he had no intention of accepting this little girl as a "disciple", he couldn't say he was very considerate.

but.

Disregard your thoughts and actions.

In terms of behavior, he did cultivate the little sapling of Shen Xin in the most reasonable way as seen by the Grand Master.

Xu Guangling didn't teach her how to sit quietly.

Although before, she spent most of the day "sitting quietly."

The kind of meditation where the soul doesn't know where it went, or it just sealed itself off and left a body alone.

It stands to reason that with a few teachings, this girl can easily achieve formal and relatively deep meditation.

The so-called "Calming the Monkey under the Five Elements Mountain", the author of Journey to the West used a very vivid way to describe this conventional introductory method of spiritual practice. Well, one of the conventional methods does not necessarily require meditation, but it is indeed one of the classic methods.

How long was Sun Wukong suppressed under the Five Elements Mountain?

Five hundred years!

This is of course a literary description, but the meaning revealed in it is in the same context as the real practice situation.

That is, it is easy to meditate but difficult to get started.

The tranquility of the body is just a means, it is just a bridge. After crossing this bridge, from body tranquility to mental tranquility, you can reach the other side.

This bridge has been built by the Great Sage for five hundred years.

And ordinary people...

Anyway, it’s not that easy to walk.

But Shen Xin is different.

To her, this bridge did not exist in the first place. In other words, although it existed, it was extremely short. She took a short step, then three or two steps, and then she crossed it.

The process that others require three to five years, or even ten or twenty years of training, is not needed at all for her.

But just because she was too quiet before, Xu Guangling now wanted her to move a little bit.

This is true whether it is the ten-kilometer run every morning, the yoga exercise afterwards, or the farming in the afternoon.

Let her be busy all day long, and she can only be quiet when she goes to bed at night.

Movement is also an opportunity for the growth and development of life.

In this process, Xu Guangling provided her with the best environment for growth and education.

The best.

Even if it's not "the best", it's still pretty much the same.

Xu Guangling did not have such treatment at the beginning, and the difference was huge.

Of course, the treatment of Xu Guangling, Mr. Zhang and Mr. Chen, these two old men did not have at the beginning, and they were also very different.

Therefore, a good teacher, or guide, is really important.

Even from a secular perspective, Mr. Zhang's five medical disciples have all entered the core ranks of domestic academic circles without exception. This is the importance of a good teacher.

Not talking about running, not talking about yoga, why should Shen Xin be allowed to farm?

Just to let her watch, one seed after another, under her own hands, break out of the darkness and then sprout little by little.

During this whole process.

She wants to dig the ground.

She wants to break the earth.

She wants to sow seeds.

She wants to plant branches.

She wants to water it.

Xu Guangling did not help her in any aspect. She did everything by herself from beginning to end.

If she wanted to help her, it would be to prevent some of the plants she planted outside the courtyard from being frozen to death by the cold, and that was all she could do.

Under Xu Guangling's instructions, Shen Xin planted the plants carefully, and then carefully observed and recorded the growth of each plant.

At first, this was just an act based on orders, but slowly, Shen Xin's heart sank in, and she began to treat every plant from her hands with real care!

Ask for help and take care of you in all aspects.

When the green onions outside the hospital were ready to be picked, she was even happier than those inside the hospital. That night, she made stir-fried Chinese cabbage with green onions from outside the hospital.

Needless to say, the taste is way different from the ones in the hospital.

But Shen Xin also ate with great joy, which seemed to be the real joy of harvest.

Of course, Shen Xin harvested more than just vegetables.

During this period of time, she has undergone tremendous changes in both her heart and mind, as well as her body.

First of all, I am no longer fat.

Not fat at all.

Although she eats haise every day, especially for dinner, she eats a lot, which is larger than an ordinary grown man's appetite, but her weight is indeed losing weight, bit by bit, towards the most "reasonable"

data.

Not fat or thin is just an appearance.

Under the surface, her body's internal growth, metabolism, or metabolic cycle, etc., are entering an extremely good state.

This one.

Secondly, living in her room, she was penetrated and "steamed" by the vitality and spiritual energy naturally emitted by the plants and trees every night. The qi and blood in her body evolved in two directions: abundant and pure at the same time.

And it is both from the inside to the outside and from the outside to the inside.

The vitality and spiritual energy, accompanied by the unique fragrance of grass and trees, entered the internal organs with her breathing, and then moistened her internal organs bit by bit while she was sleeping, and then spread from the internal organs to the whole body.

This is from the inside out.

Human breathing involves not only the mouth and nose, but also the pores all over the body.

The extremely abundant vitality and spiritual energy also followed this channel and penetrated into Shen Xin's body bit by bit.

This is from the outside in.

The most obvious feature during these times is the change in her skin texture and complexion.

Her eyes are getting brighter and brighter.

If it was just clear before, the clearness of a normal young woman, now it is as bright as a morning star.

It is both clear and bright.

There are no pimples or anything like that on the face anymore. The entire face is as smooth as a baby's, and it is in the most ideal state, without any blemishes.

The same goes for hands.

Shen Xin's hands were actually quite rough before, and even had some calluses.

Besides, she has been farming these days. It is real farming, and the workload is quite a lot.

However, her hands seemed to have changed the most.

How rough it was before, how refined it is now, it's a complete 180-degree turn.

The store where she went to take a bath had been questioned frequently, so often that it happened every day!

And in that women's gym, she quickly became the brightest star.

This also brought her quite a lot of trouble.
