Chapter 189 Zhijun's heart is like the sun and the moon

Did Xu Yishan laugh?

No.

After listening to Xu Tonghui's recitation, he just remained silent.

There was silence for a long time.

Again, Tao poetry, poetry is just the carrier, Tao is the core.

And what kind of Tao does this poem by Xu Tonghui carry?

"Ignorance and confusion gather in this body, and drifting with the waves is the past."

The opening sentence is actually easy to understand. Just like his poem, it is both about the cloud and about oneself. It not only borrows his words, but also borrows his expressions.

But it's just borrowing.

Similar, but different.

Just go with the flow.

Xu Yishan recited this sentence silently in his heart, and then wanted to laugh a little.

It's not funny, let alone ridicule, but it's a joke that the two "senior brothers" actually thought of the same place.

It was only after he had reached the Earth Level and his cultivation had stagnated for a long time that he could not improve, that he lamented that he could not reach the Heaven Level and was just a passerby in a hurry.

Whether it is the so-called human level or the so-called earth level, it is the same.

They are all "lower level".

They are all ups and downs.

Xu Tonghui, on the other hand, did not even have a human-level Dacheng. He only had such thoughts during the stage of opening up the meridians.

Faced with this situation, Xu Yishan didn't know what to say.

Does it mean that the next generation is scary, or that you lamented a little too early? After all, the subsequent human level is still a very long stage for you. Maybe the higher the inheritance, the longer the experience will be.

One day, after that long and long time, I wonder if you will still recall this moment today.

It should be possible.

I don’t know what you were thinking at that time.

"Go with the flow".

This word is so well used!

It actually means exactly the same thing as what he thought, but it is undoubtedly more sublime, more profound, and at the same time much more vivid.

As he thought about it, pictures even appeared in Xu Yishan's mind.

There is a mountain, surrounded by clouds, and someone on the mountain is looking down calmly.

The mountain is surrounded by the sea, and there are countless people in the sea, some driving huge boats, some riding small boats, some just holding a plank, or even not having a plank.

They float and sink in the sea with different attitudes.

Follow the waves, follow the waves.

When a wave hits, they may be lifted up to a high place, and when another wave hits, they may be knocked down to the bottom of the sea.

From time to time, people will sink to the bottom of the sea one after another, and then never come up again. They just fall to the bottom of the sea and gradually turn into the soil, sand and gravel on the bottom of the sea.

And so on and so forth.

From imagination back to Taoist poetry.

Going with the flow... is it the past?

If this sentence is used to talk about clouds, there is no problem at all, but if it is used to talk about people...

Xu Yishan also fell silent in his heart again.

You are only in the stage of opening up the meridians at the human level now, right? Why do you say that following the waves is your past?

Even I am still just drifting with the tide.

Xu Yishan was not uncomfortable with the "arrogance" or "arrogance" expressed in this sentence, but he was just confused.

After getting along with each other during this period, Xu Yishan can say with certainty that Xu Tonghui is a quiet and steady person. Arrogance and arrogance have nothing to do with him, and he has always been a "senior brother".

The ceremony was very respectful.

Regarding this point, it is absolutely impossible for a human-level cultivator's style to be hidden from the eyes and ears of an earth-level master!

Therefore, Xu Yishan admires Xu Tonghui very much, and he appreciates him more and more.

The foundation is laid very firmly.

The practice is extremely stable.

He had an extraordinary background, but he was not at all arrogant or arrogant. He actually treated his nominal "senior brother" as if he were a senior fellow apprentice.

How could Xu Yishan not appreciate such a junior?

He even started to treat Xu Tonghui as his junior brother.

In addition to "near", there is more "close".

In fact, cultivators are extremely sensitive to this kind of mental and physical interaction, and the more advanced they get, the more sensitive they become. Xu Yishan has no doubt that if they continue to get along like this, it won't be long before they will truly sympathize with their fellow practitioners.

, so that they feel like brothers.

Why is this so?

It’s not just about being close to each other, but the deeper reason is some commonality in life experiences and feelings about life.

Just like this Taoist poem written by Xu Tonghui.

In terms of feelings, Xu Yishan actually feels that the opening sentence is not much different from what he wrote.

To put it simply, this is also how he feels!

It's just that he didn't show it in the Taoist poem about clouds just now!

With some tacit understanding and considerable confusion, Xu Yishan thought about the back of this poem.

"Once it comes from the earth to the sky, purple flowers shine all over the sky."

Xu Yishan was also speechless at this sentence.

It's not that I'm expressing my feelings about how big the spirit is. For a cultivator who has attained great success in the world, those things are all empty and have no real support. No matter how big the spirit is, it's nothing more than a flashy bubble.

Just like when writing about clouds, one can write that they "cover the sky and block out the sun"; when writing about snow, one can write about "changing the sky and changing the earth".

Is it big enough?

But for cultivators like them, who are on a human level, what’s the point of writing something like this? It’s just nonsense, and it’s a waste of self-cultivation.

How shallow and rootless a practitioner must be to think of such things!

Meaningless!

And Xu Tonghui obviously cannot be like this.

A human-level cultivator who can behave so calmly and peacefully in front of him, let alone vanity, even the glitz is almost nonexistent.

However, why does Xu Tonghui's poem, like the previous one, seem so vain and flashy?

Once from earth to heaven.

Thousands of purple flowers are shining.

To put it very bluntly, wouldn’t it be better and more appropriate for a cultivator who has achieved heaven level to say this sentence?

Not to mention Xu Tonghui's level, even for him to say this, it can only be said that it is too early!

And if we just say that we were able to go to that place from the earth due to the relationship of destiny as "one day from the earth to the sky", it is certainly possible to say so, but it would be too arrogant and arrogant.

Based on his understanding of Xu Tonghui, Xu Tonghui could not possibly mean this!

To understand it this way, it not only belittles Xu Tonghui, but also belittles himself.

With another layer of deeper confusion, Xu Yishan continued to look down.

Talk about luck, luck is coming.

"It's luck that adds glory to me, it's Tao that turns me into truth."

But in this sentence, Xu Tonghui separates the path of luck and uses a separate word "luck" to refer to the path of luck.

As for the separate "Tao", he seemed to have added a deeper connotation. As for what it was specifically, Xu Yishan couldn't quite figure it out for a while.

Here, Xu Tonghui is talking about his own practice?

Or does it simply refer to creation?

Or maybe both?

For a moment, Xu Yishan couldn't figure it out.

And if this sentence is unclear but generally understandable, then Xu Yishan is completely confused about the next sentence.

"If you ask me, why am I so lucky?"

This sentence means nothing, it just means the literal meaning, and even a child of a few years old who has just learned to read can understand it.

"I once lived as a neighbor with flowers blooming."

The key is this sentence.

The meaning of this sentence was much more obscure. Xu Yishan had a lot of thoughts in his mind, but none of them seemed to hit the mark. They were vaguely separated by more than one layer.

This Taoist poem is written about clouds. Even if it is about people at a deeper level, if you take away that "deeper level" and only use clouds to understand it, you must be able to understand it.

Otherwise, the theme will be messed up.

Xu Tonghui had no reason to make such an obvious mistake.

So, if this sentence is understood as writing clouds, what is it talking about?

bloom.

Be neighbors.

Did the clouds turn into rain or snow, nourishing the grass and trees on the ground, allowing them to flourish and bloom?

Is the cloud serving as a messenger here or is it responsible for the circulation of fortune?

It seems that only this way of understanding makes sense.

But understanding it this way doesn't seem to have much meaning. At least, Xu Yishan couldn't analyze the specific meaning.

Then go back and read the entire poem.

From a purely "poetry" perspective, it's still okay, at least it's quite satisfactory. As for any irregularities, those are just minor flaws.

But this shouldn’t be a Taoist poem!

In other words, it shouldn’t be Xu Tonghui’s Taoist poem written at this moment.

There is certainly something in this poem.

But it is obviously inconsistent with what Xu Tonghui showed!

The most critical and important part is probably the last sentence.

There, it is possible that the key to breaking through the dissonance of the entire poem is hidden.

After analyzing each sentence and pondering for a long time, Xu Yishan finally broke the silence, turned his gaze away from the horizon, looked at Xu Tonghui and asked him, "Tonghui, is this your way?"
