19. Cake and milk tea captured her

When the last sunset faded with dusk, darkness once again swallowed the earth.

The lights in the city at night were too strong, and Jiang Qiao could not see the stars in the sky. Only a full moon hanging high proved the existence of night.

"Chengzi, are you here?" Jiang Qiao was still sitting on the wall of the courtyard, sending a message to Zhou Cheng.

"Boss, what's the matter?" Zhou Cheng replied quickly.

Jiang Qiao has become accustomed to this guy's changing names for him, so he goes directly to the topic:

"Do you know what's the best gift to give to a girl you've just met a few times? Well... nothing too expensive."

"What the hell, boss?!"

"When did you realize that you actually know how to give gifts to girls?!" Zhou Cheng sent two sentences in a row, his tone full of disbelief.

He then asked: "Who is it? Is it Cheng Ruoxi? No, she grew up with you."

Jiang Qiao replied: "Why do you care so much? Just don't say anything."

"okok...boss, do you know what that girl's hobbies are?"

It certainly can't be magic... Jiang Qiao thought for a while: "I don't know."

"Then send food and drink...milk tea, cakes, etc. That's right. No one can resist the temptation of delicious food." Zhou Cheng replied.

"OK."

Jiang Qiao turned off his cell phone, jumped off the courtyard wall with one hand, and hurried out of the alley.

He returned home about half an hour later, carrying a cup of milk tea and a boxed strawberry cake.

He had almost never drank milk tea, and he didn't know what was good or bad, so he asked the clerk to recommend a cup.

As for the cake, I didn’t know what Sylvie’s taste was, so she simply chose her favorite strawberry cake.

When Jiang Qiao paid the bill, he was shocked. Together, these two items were almost worth his two days' living expenses.

Put the milk tea and cakes on the table, then close the doors and windows, and draw the curtains.

Then, holding back his heaving heart, he grasped the door handle and twisted it slightly. Golden light suddenly burst out from the crack in the door, filling half of the room.

The door opened little by little, and Jiang Qiao saw the familiar blue crystal chandelier again, and Sylvie standing under the faint blue light.

Today she was wearing a gold-plated white dress with a Gothic stand-up collar, wrapped in a witch-style black robe, and her naturally curly burgundy hair was braided into a braid and hung around her waist.

Jiang Qiao saw excitement and joy in her sapphire-like pupils, as well as a slight complaint.

"Jiang Qiao!" When they met, Sylvie was the first to shout like a lark.

"It's been a week...why did you come here? Also, I don't know why, but I can't open this door."

"This door doesn't seem to recognize me." Sylvie's tone was a little aggrieved.

"Um..." Jiang Qiao felt a little embarrassed. It was indeed his fault to disappear for a while without saying anything in advance.

"It's like this, Sylvie, the study time set by our school is six days a week, from seven o'clock in the morning to nine-thirty in the evening... and it's almost ten o'clock when I get home."

"I was afraid that you would have already rested by then, so I didn't open the door to disturb you during this period."

"So hard work!" Sylvie clicked her tongue.

She would learn knowledge and etiquette from the palace teachers every day, that is, during the day.

But I didn't expect that the students in that world actually went from morning to night.

"I'm sorry, Jiang Qiao, I shouldn't have said that to you." Sylvie apologized sincerely, her big eyes flashing with sympathy.

Jiang Qiao waved his hands repeatedly: "No, no, I still blame me for not telling you clearly... Look, I brought you a gift."

He ran to the coffee table, picked up the milk tea and cake, and ran back again.

"A gift? A gift for me?" Sylvie looked curiously at the thing in Jiang Qiao's hand.

"Yes, this is a kind of delicacy here. I don't know what you like, so I brought you some food."

Jiang Qiao put them on the ground and pushed them through the light door little by little.

There is no doubt that the milk tea and cakes reached Sylvie's side smoothly, as if the light door had never existed.

It's really like a semi-permeable membrane that only allows certain items to pass through. Jiang Qiao suddenly had this idea in his mind.

Sylvie took the two bags and carefully took out the cake and milk tea.

She has seen a food that can be said to be her favorite, strawberry cake.

But the other kind, the cup made of strange materials, and the turbid liquid inside... she had never heard of it.

It was so light. She found a plastic fork from it and sighed again, isn't this a hundred times better than the bulky silver tableware?

Even with a plastic fork, Sylvie was still very elegant. She forked off a small piece of cake filled with cream and put it into her mouth.

"This taste..." The moment the cake entered her mouth, Sylvie was slightly surprised.

The delicate and dense cream, the moist cake body and the refreshing and fresh strawberries... It is no exaggeration to say that this is the most delicious cake she has ever tasted.

Even if the top dessert chef from Floating Light City comes, his level will probably be almost the same as it.

This taste is almost like magic.

In fact, it's not that Sylvie is ignorant, but that Paristia's food industry is too backward, and its processing methods and auxiliary equipment are far behind those on Earth.

Naturally there is a certain difference in taste.

"It's delicious!" Sylvie's starry eyes appeared, and the smile on her lips represented the simplest happiness.

Besides magic, enjoying food is her greatest joy in life.

"Hehe... That's good." Seeing the cake making the girl so happy, Jiang Qiao and Yourong thought that the money was well spent.

It wasn't until a few minutes later that Sylvie realized that she had eaten most of the cake. She blushed and wondered if her behavior was not very ladylike.

She secretly glanced at Jiang Qiao and found that the latter was looking out the window in a daze, so she breathed a sigh of relief and looked at the cup of milk tea.

Is this also delicious food? Sylvie picked it up and looked around.

Jiang Qiao kept staring at the window, for no other reason than... it seemed not very polite to keep staring at other people eating.

Although, Sylvie eating is really cute.

He secretly glanced inside the door and found that Sylvie was studying the cup of milk tea carefully, as if she didn't know how to drink it.

"Um, Sylvie, you have to use that straw." Jiang Qiao reminded.

"Straw...is this it?" Sylvie found a transparent tube wrapped in paper from the bag.

"Yes, then insert it into the paper cup firmly."

"Put it in." Sylvie closed her eyes.

With a "pop" sound, the straw was successfully inserted.

"That's right, then suck it gently into your mouth."

The warm, fragrant milk tea flowed down the straw into the tip of her tongue and into her heart.

Salty milk cap, waxy pearls and soft pudding...

This is...this is the taste of happiness!

Sylvie's face turned red. She had never tasted anything so wonderful.
