1826, Ming Dynasty Book Rescue Plan

Juyan Han Slips! This is the first time Yang Fan has heard of it.

He checked it immediately. It didn't matter if he didn't check it. If he checked it, he would be shocked.

The Juyan Han Bamboo Bamboo Slips are one of the "four major discoveries of Chinese ancient documents in the early 20th century".

The four major discoveries include oracle bones from the Yin Ruins, Juyan Han bamboo slips, Dunhuang posthumous documents and the Ming and Qing cabinet archives.

From several other aspects, we can see the heavyweight of Juyan's Han bamboo slips.

These discoveries not only demonstrate the glorious achievements of ancient Chinese civilization, but also provide valuable physical data for historical research.

The area north of the Great Wall in Gansu was still a wasteland and savanna in the late Ming Dynasty. The beacons and town relics of the Han and Tang dynasties are densely visible. However, in modern times, due to changes in the natural environment and destruction of the environment, the Badain Jaran Desert and the Tengger Desert have

, the Kubuqi Desert is expanding crazily, and is basically buried under the yellow sand, leaving nowhere to look for it.

Yang Fan suddenly realized that in the late Ming Dynasty, these dense beacons and castle ruins, tomb ruins, ash pit ruins, etc. buried a large number of precious ancient books and documents. This is a convenience that is not available in modern times.

Most of these items are wooden slips from the Han Dynasty, not bamboo slips.

Because this is located in the northwest, there are no bamboos here.

The local garrison officers and soldiers could only cut wood pieces and connect them with straw ropes to make wooden slips instead of bamboo slips.

From 1913 to 1930, a total of about 30,000 bamboo slips, wooden slips, wooden tablets, etc. were unearthed from the Juyan Han Dynasty beacon sites in Ejina Banner of present-day Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Jinta County of Gansu Province.

Most of them are garrison documents from the areas under the jurisdiction of Captain Juyan and Captain Jianshui of Zhangye County. The earliest date on the existing wooden slips is 90 BC. It is an important material for studying the history of the Han Dynasty.

I didn't expect that the little girl conductor would discover such awesome stuff.

Yang Fan immediately looked up the previous excavation sites and the current excavation sites based on modern maps, and compared them. Because it was impossible for him to repeatedly take out the wooden slips that existed in modern times, which would be impossible to explain. Only those that are not available in modern times can be made available to the public.

Yang Fan quickly let down his guard. Because the locations of the two excavations were different, the contents could not be the same. Every piece of this kind of documents is unique. Except for the official archives, there will be archives.

Will be repeated again and again.

If it is a government file, it is normal for there to be duplication, but the handwriting will not be the same. These things are all handwritten, and the archives are copied, and they will not be printed.

The Juyan Han bamboo slips that survive in modern times are the product of two excavations.

In 1913 and 1930, Swedish scholar Bergman discovered more than 10,000 Han bamboo slips in the Juyan area of Ejina Banner, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Most of these Han bamboo slips are archival documents of frontier fortresses and garrison buildings in the Han Dynasty, and a small number are

Books, chronicles and personal letters.

This part now exists at the Institute of History and Culture under the Academia Sinica in Taipei.

From 1972 to 1976, the Gansu Provincial Cultural Relics Department conducted excavations again and unearthed more than 20,000 Han bamboo slips. This part is stored in the Gansu Bamboo Slips Museum.

Yang Fan compared the excavation sites and found that they did not overlap, which meant that the content could not be repeated. In modern times, desertification has occurred severely. In the late Ming Dynasty, areas were still wilderness and savanna, but now they are covered with thousands of miles of yellow sand. It is estimated that in a few hundred years, there will be no duplication of content.

It may not be discovered.

Yang Fan wrote a reply to Xiao Niangpi, asking her to organize people to conduct an overall rescue excavation of the Han Dynasty beacons and castle ruins outside the Great Wall in Gansu. However, the two locations that have been excavated in modern times were avoided. The sand on both sides had to be sieved.

There must be no omissions.

Later, he replied that the Guanhui General Association had purchased these Chinese bamboo slips from overseas and would send them back to China in the near future.

From the perspective of production materials, the Juyan Han bamboo slips belong to the "slips" category among "slips and slips".

The names are distinguished by writing in their own shapes, such as ultimatum, inspection, board, 檄, 椠, bamboo slips, two lines, goblet, book, talisman, biography, passing the place, cutting clothes and so on.

There are routine official documents, appointment and dismissal of officials, personnel changes, news at the border, military discipline, labor in the field, transportation of supplies, entry and exit of items, inspections, injuries, etc.

In addition, there are postal letters, name books, ultimatums, love letters, honorary certificates, archived official document manuscripts, and sales and loan contracts between officials and people, etc.

Distinguished by their properties and uses:

The first is the document category, which includes documents, seals, certificates, and criminal proceedings:

The second is the book category, including beacon fire, garrison service, illness and death, money and grain, names, records, achievements, utensils, carriages and horses, wine and food, accounting books, and miscellaneous books;

The third is letters;

The fourth is classics, including calendars, primary schools, Six Classics, laws and regulations, medical prescriptions, and techniques;

The more Yang Fan looked at it, the more excited he became. These things cover almost every field of social life in the Western Han Dynasty. By studying these Han bamboo slips, it is almost possible to reproduce a colorful and real full picture of Han Dynasty society full of human fireworks.

Juyan Han Slips reflect very rich content. It not only truly records the original garrison activities and the rise and fall of the Juyan area, but also preserves important archives and documentary materials from the middle of the Western Han Dynasty to the early Eastern Han Dynasty, covering the entire Han Dynasty.

The actual situation of society in many fields such as politics, economy, military, culture, science and technology, law, philosophy, religion and ethnicity has extremely high scientific, historical and cultural relics value, and has had a profound impact on historical research.

Yang Fan made up his mind to carry out rescue excavations before these areas turned into deserts, conduct a systematic excavation of the Han and Tang Dynasty ruins in the entire Hetao area and Hexi area, and transport the various cultural relics sorted out to the new city.

If we set up a research institute for cultural classics to organize, categorize, research, etc. and transcribe the contents into books, it is estimated that the content of these things that can be unearthed will be hundreds of times that of the 50,000 bamboo and wooden slips unearthed in modern times.

In addition to the bamboo slips, it is estimated that a large number of artifacts from the Han and Tang Dynasties will remain, such as daily necessities, tools and agricultural tools, weapons and equipment, etc. These are also of great value.

Yang Fan decided to leave this matter to Xiao Niangpi. Anyway, she has been very free recently, running around and traveling everywhere. If she doesn't find something to do, her heart will go wild.

After Yang Fan donated two Western Zhou Bamboo Books last time, Yan Da was very excited.

Finally, they overcame Huaqing and regained a victory.

If you have Huaqing bamboo slips, they are just stuff from the Warring States Period. As for the authenticity, many people still question it. We do have bamboo scripts from the Western Zhou Dynasty. The domestic expert group has repeatedly demonstrated that it is absolutely true and there is no doubt.

Because of such an outstanding collection, the quality of the school has also been improved. Which university library around the world has a collection of books with a history of three thousand years?

In order to protect and display to the public two Western Zhou bamboo slips, the "Lianshan Yi" and "Gui Zang Yi", Yan University specially applied for funding and built the Chinese Ancient Books Museum on the shores of Weiming Lake.

After two years of construction, it has now been completed and put into use.

The most advanced contemporary book preservation technology has been adopted to provide the best preservation conditions for these precious ancient books. At the same time, a team of research experts has been established to begin systematic research.

At the opening ceremony, Yang Fan sent Sun Xing to attend on his behalf.

He also donated a simplified version of the "Book of Changes" written in the early Western Zhou Dynasty. In this way, the simplified version of the Book of Changes at Yanda University was able to collect a complete set of the three volumes of the Book of Changes, which shocked the world at home and abroad.
