I joined the industry in March 2020, for reasons everyone knows.
It has been almost three years since I started working in the industry. From the beginning I knew nothing about it, to now I have become a veteran.
Sometimes, I have to lament that in this field of writing, talent is really important.
At the age of 19, Mr. Potato became the new king in one fell swoop with the book "World of Warcraft and Sword Master", and then wrote the explosive Dou Po.
As for me, I was already in my thirties when I entered the industry. As I get older, my thinking has solidified, and the knowledge I have learned has been returned to the teacher long ago.
From the initial order of a few hundred to a thousand, I was lucky last year, and the book Renzu was barely a good product, and I bought two more copies in a row.
It’s really hard for someone like me who has no writing talent.
Of course, since I entered the industry, I have been working full-time and relying on writing to make a living. I have no talent, so I only have to work hard.
There is no statistics for 2020. In 2021, I coded a total of 2.65 million words, and in 2022, I coded about 2.9 million words.
It can be said that on average, the number of words written every day is basically no less than 8,000 words.
The book "Human Ancestor" has been updated to 10,000 words per day for more than 140 days, and I was so busy every day.
Although I am not good at it and the books I write do not get good grades and I can barely make ends meet, I really like this line of work and plan to keep writing it for a long time.
Although the success of a book is inseparable from the author's writing, it is also inseparable from the support of readers.
I see every collection, every recommendation ticket, every monthly ticket, every reward, and every subscription you have, and I will keep it in my heart, and I am grateful.
