Jinjian Pavilion is located on the bank of the Western Han River, more than ten miles south of Jianjia Pass. The two places are directly separated by a straight line, which may be less than ten miles; but in this section of the Western Han River, it passes through the tall Hengduan Mountains, forming an "S" shape.
The river is winding, so it’s a bit winding.
Whether it is the mountain road that Jian Pei and others took, from Xing'an Pavilion to Jinjian Pavilion, or the waterway along the Western Han River from Jianjia Pass to Jinjian Pavilion, they cannot be called roads!
Because the waterway of the Western Han River between the Hengduan Mountains is winding and winding, with great fluctuations in height, it is impossible to sail a boat.
Most of the time throughout the year, the water level of the Xihan River is not enough. In the uphill section of this section, the river water is very shallow, as if it is flowing through piles of rocks; while in the downhill section, the water flow is very fast. Boat rafting
If you sail to this section, you will not be stranded on rocks, or you will hit the rocks and become broken into pieces during the downhill rapids!
Only after the summer solstice does the West Han River experience a brief flood season. At this time, the water level is high enough and the situation improves, but it is also impossible to sail. The uphill section may be fine, but the downhill section is too fast and will still capsize.
If it hits the shore in the twisting rapids, the people on the boat will lose half their lives, if not death.
Therefore, the Jiameng Pass in the upper reaches is not guarding the Western Han River waterway, but the Jinniu Road. After an earthquake one year ago, the Han River was diverted and changed its course, and the Western Han River could no longer bear water transportation.
Jinniu Road follows the West Han River from Xing'an Pavilion and extends to the southwest. More than 40 miles away is Jiameng Pass. It is the confluence of Baishui and West Han River in the north. Jiameng Pass is the gate of Shuyu... From Jiameng Pass
Cross the Xihan River and continue walking along the Jinniu Road to the Jiange Pavilion.
Therefore, there are two "roads" that are not roads to get to Jinjian Pavilion. One of them goes down from Jiameng Pass and follows the Han River to the south for more than ten miles through the Hengduan Mountains. The other is the mountain road that Jian Pei and others took.
.
The road taken by Jian Pei's tribe was a temporary path opened in the mountains by the Wei army from a gap in the Hengduan Mountains. Everyone started from Xing'an Pavilion, and after entering the mountains, they actually went around the south side of the Hengduan Mountains.
The most incredible thing is that at the entrance of the valley called Jinjian Pavilion, there is actually a pavilion set up by the Shu army. It seems to be affiliated with the Langzhong garrison far away, and a small team is left as an outpost!
In this place where the roads are cut off and no one can poop, no one knows how the Shu army team came here or where they got the supplies. It is possible that they came from Langzhong along the Han River, but sailing against the current in the mountainous area,
It's also very difficult.
Jian Pei and others set out at dawn and walked for a whole day. Until night, they only walked about thirty miles. Because there was a section of the road that required cutting through bushes and thorns, it was especially slow.
Fortunately, the most difficult part of the road has been passed. The remaining road is a ravine beside the creek. It won't take long to reach the Golden Arrow Pavilion!
But Jian Pei did not continue to set off, and first rested on the spot for half the night. Everyone could not even light a fire and could only eat dry food. They also had no tents and could only sleep in the open. In summer nights, they were afraid of snakes and mosquitoes, so everyone could only smear themselves with water.
Crush the herbs and sprinkle realgar around the camp.
In the early hours of the morning, Jian Pei followed the order and woke everyone up.
Jian Pei left a few people to guard the mules and ponies. The remaining people put on armor and weapons, and set off on simple wooden ladders. Taking advantage of the pale moonlight of the first quarter moon in the sky, everyone followed the creek and valley, slowly
Walk the last few miles slowly.
I don’t know how long it took, but everyone just walked through a winding valley when they suddenly heard the sound of water! Only on the banks of the Western Han River can there be such big waves!
Jian Pei took a closer look, and sure enough he saw a faint flicker of light in the distance. In such a deserted place, except for the outpost of the Shu army, no one could come here; just like everyone walked for three days yesterday
For more than ten miles, not even a single person was seen.
"Shh!" Jian Pei made a gesture, then lightly patted Team Leader's shoulder, pointed to the right, and whispered in a low voice: "You go over there, I will take people to the left. Remember what we have agreed upon,
After the siege, leave someone outside to watch over you."
Team Zheng said in a low voice: "Here."
The crowd gradually divided into two columns and cautiously continued to move forward. People walked very slowly. Although the iron plates of the armor still made a slight metallic sound, it was not obvious because of the sound of water and waves.
At this moment, a shout suddenly came from high up: "Enemy! There are enemy troops!"
Then the gong sound of "哐哐哐" started, it was as loud as thunder.
Jian Pei said: "Look to the left and look upstairs, prepare arrows!"
The subordinate archer replied: "I saw it."
Jian Pei raised his spear and shouted: "Kill!"
In an instant, a sound of "Oops" came from not far away. Someone was hit by an arrow. I don't know how injured he was. Then in the dim moonlight, there were several "bang bang..." strings sounded, and the Wei army archers also shot arrows towards the watchtower.
After a while, there was a cry of pain from upstairs. The Wei soldiers below had rushed outside the rammed earth wall, and a short wooden ladder was set up on the earth wall. The Wei soldiers immediately climbed up the ladder with their weapons. Then came the news
There were two "ding-dong" bangs, followed by yelling.
The Wei soldiers below picked up their bows and arrows and began to aim at the enemy soldiers at the crenel mouth.
But more wooden ladders were put up on the earthen wall. This kind of ladder with almost only two wooden frames was very crude. However, there were too few soldiers in Shu. After being attacked by a sneak attack, even fewer people climbed up the wall in time!
In almost a short time, Wei soldiers successfully climbed onto the rammed earth wall. On Jian Pei's side, they encountered resistance from the enemy soldiers on the wall. One man was cut and wounded, and the people below were firing arrows to try to kill the enemy soldiers. Jian Pei
Pei couldn't wait any longer, so he immediately changed places and climbed up from another wooden ladder.
There were shouts and clashes of iron tools from all directions. There were only about a hundred people in total. For a moment, it seemed like a war was going on!
At this time, Wei soldiers used flints and fire sickles to light torches. By the light of the fire, Jian Pei looked at the slope leading up to the rammed earth wall not far away, and called to the people around him: "Come! Seize the slope over there."
About a dozen Shu soldiers came towards the ramp. Some of them were fully clothed and armored, and they may not have taken off their armor at night. The rest were all wearing civilian clothes, and they came up with only swords and shields.
Jian Pei was behind and did not participate in the fighting on the other side of the slope. He stood on the rammed earth wall and watched for a while, clearly seeing the two village gates and the position of the slope on the other side. He wanted to call the team leader on the opposite side and lead people from
Try to break down the rammed earth wall and occupy the village gate first!
Before Jian Pei could shout, he heard the captain shouting: "Those who surrender will be spared death, and those who resist will be killed!"
