Chapter 7 Dead wood can be carved

For three days in a row, Yu Shu did not return to the dormitory and stayed in Yuxi Cave.

Ji Jue sat on the couch, holding a book of exercises in his hand and looking at it absently. He called out in a deep voice, "Xi'er!!"

The ghost baby instantly appeared next to Ji Jue, nodding and bowing, "Your Majesty!"

Ji Jue frowned and asked as if he didn't care, "What will that person do again?"

"Go back to your Majesty, you are meditating." Xi'er immediately answered.

Ji Jue's eyebrows skipped a beat. He had been waiting for these three words for three days.

There was a lump in his throat, "Is there nothing else but meditation?"

Xi'er's almond-shaped eyes were round and wide, and he tilted his head to show that he didn't.

Ji Jue's eyebrows furrowed. Could it be that what he said that day gave her too much of a blow?

He simply put the book aside, got up and flew towards Yuxi Cave.

Yu Shu has indeed been meditating as Xi'er said.

When she opened her eyes again, Yu Shu seemed to be a different person. She circulated her spiritual power and raised her sword to swing.

She still doesn't fully understand what kendo is, but if she has to find a reason to swing her sword, then she has one in mind - to survive!

Since she came to this world of immortality, she has been forced to self-destruct and has faced desperate situations several times, but she has no power to resist and has repeatedly relied on the system to save her.

She doesn't want to, let alone!

Yu Shu's sword moves became more and more fierce, as if there was an invisible enemy in front of her.

If she doesn't become strong, how can she protect herself, let alone the old accounts she has yet to settle with those people!

Yu Shu only felt that she was getting better and better, her heart was filled with blood and her meridians were bulging.

Suddenly, someone came up behind him. He tapped Yu Shu's waist, and his deep voice sounded in Yu Shu's ears.

"The waist should be relaxed, and the wrist should not be too tight or easily broken if it is too stiff. Your sword should be able to be retracted and released freely."

It's Ji Jue!

A trace of spiritual power entered Yu Shu's Dantian in a familiar way, leading her around the world.

The two were holding and wielding the same sword.

For some reason, Yu Shu felt the warmth behind her and smelled the familiar fragrance, and her heart beat fast.

Her eyelashes trembled slightly, her lips opened and closed, and she called, "Ji, Ji Jue..."

Ji Jue looked sideways at her as if he was feeling something. He immediately knew something was wrong with her. He let go of his hand and said, "You are about to advance. Quickly meditate and exercise your mind. I will protect you again."

Hearing this, Yu Shu hurriedly sat down, took a deep breath and quickly closed her eyes.

I saw that my Dantian was glowing with light, and my spiritual power became rich.

Her familiar wandering guides the spiritual power through every meridian.

After an unknown amount of time, Yu Shu slowly opened her eyes and exhaled a breath of thick air.

Yu Shu looked at the full moon rising outside and couldn't help but ask, "How long has it been?"

"It's only two hours." Ji Jue heard Yu Shu's voice, raised his eyes, and replied.

At a glance, he could see that Yu Shu's spiritual power had become stronger, indicating that the advancement was complete.

After two hours of advancement, it can be seen that Yu Shu's talent is extraordinary.

Yu Shu hadn't seen Ji Jue for several days, and when she suddenly saw him, she always felt a little embarrassed in her heart.

She touched her nose awkwardly and was about to say something.

Ji Jue opened his mouth one step before her, "Cultivation is not a day's work, and you should not rush for quick success. You have learned a lot in the past few days. I think you are tired. The moonlight is dark now, so you should rest early."

After saying that, Ji Jue walked towards the door.

Yu Shu looked at his tall back and felt a sense of loss for no reason.

Ji Jue walked to the door and suddenly stopped. The moonlight reflected his figure, and the breeze lifted his black robe.

He tilted his head slightly, raised the corners of his mouth, and gave a faint smile.

"You should look at me with admiration after three days of separation. I, the king, have underestimated you."

"Although it is rotten wood, it can still be carved."

After Ji Jue said this, he walked away. Although his face was expressionless, his relaxed brows and raised eyebrows all revealed his good mood.

Yu Shu was stunned for a moment, then raised the corners of her lips, like a poppy blooming, and said with a smile, "You are the dead wood, the dead Ji Jue."

After scolding, Yu Shu was in a good mood. She picked up 037, hummed a song, and walked towards a hot spring in the Ghost Prison Palace.

Although most monks do not need to bathe, Yu Shu always feels uncomfortable without washing.

She took off her clothes, entered the hot spring, and soaked for a while. Just when she was feeling comfortable, she suddenly felt a hint of coolness coming from behind.

Yu Shu suddenly looked back and saw that there was nothing behind her, only vegetation swaying in the wind.

She frowned and looked around, and then used her spiritual power to detect it. There was indeed no one there.

Yu Shu felt uneasy, so she wiped it hastily and quickly put on her clothes.

At night, Yu Shu slept on the couch nearby, and Ji Jue slept on the bed.

When she was drowsy, Yu Shu felt the coolness again, as if someone was watching her, and she suddenly woke up.

Yu Shu sat up and looked around suspiciously, but there was still no one there.

She swallowed her saliva and said in a trembling voice, "Ji Jue, Ji Jue!"

"What's the matter?" Ji Jue always just closed his eyes and slept lightly, but he woke up as soon as Yu Shu sat up.

"You, there is a ghost in your palace!" Yu Shu's eyes were filled with fear.

Hearing this, Ji Jue couldn't help but laugh out loud. He looked at Yu Shu's look of being surrounded by soldiers, as if facing a formidable enemy, and found it extremely interesting, so he deliberately lowered his voice.

"This is a ghost prison, so naturally there will be ghosts. Some were hanged, drowned, and had their heads cut off. They died in miserable conditions, with resentment in their hearts, and they refused to be reincarnated."

Yu Shu raised her voice a little higher and looked a little embarrassed, "Ji Jue..."

Ji Jue sneered, "What have you been thinking about all day? This is the Ghost Prison Palace. I am here, no one who cares about life dares to come in."

As if he thought of something, he added, "Oh, except you."

Yu Shu rolled her eyes at him and argued anxiously, "No! There is really something."

Ji Jue saw that her expression didn't seem to be fake. After thinking for a moment, he waved his hand and the ghost baby appeared in the palace.

Xi'er's little body was arched, her hands were clasped together, and she said in a sweet voice, "Your Majesty!"

Then he turned to look at Yu Shu and smiled kindly, "Princess!"

Yu Shu looked at the gloomy blue-white face in front of her, her heart stopped in fright, and she didn't even hear the ghost baby's inappropriate name.

Xi'er didn't notice, he held up a stack of quilts that were almost as tall as him, "It was cold at night, and the princess was not as good as the king. Xi'er was afraid that the princess would be cold, so she wanted to send a brocade quilt to the bed, but she never found it.

Chance."

Xi'er lowered her head and smiled, "I'm sorry for scaring the princess."

Yu Shu broke out in a cold sweat. Seeing this, she breathed a sigh of relief and felt at ease.

"Thank you." She took it shyly and thanked her in a low voice.

Xi'er bowed again and then disappeared into the hall.

Yu Shu met Ji Jue's joking eyes, coughed a few times in embarrassment, hurriedly lay back, and said covertly, "Sleep!"

————

Three months may seem like a long time, but in the world of cultivating immortals, it is just the blink of an eye.

On weekdays, Ji Jue only has one thing to do: practice. Since Yu Shu came, watching Yu Shu practice has become the only thing Ji Jue has to do.

After Ji Jue picked off Yu Shu's sword again, he looked at the ordinary long sword and said in a deep voice.

"It's time for you to change your sword. Tianqing Sword Technique is not the most suitable sword technique for you."

Yu Shu picked up the sword on the ground, raised her eyebrows and looked at Ji Jue, "Then what sword technique is suitable for me?"

She picked up 037, held it in her arms, and sat aside.

Ji Jue looked at Yu Shu's blushing face, her eyebrows softened unconsciously for a moment, "I will give it to you when I find it."

Yu Shu did not listen carefully to Ji Jue's words, she was concentrating on fiddling with system 037.

I don’t know why 037 has been sleeping longer and longer these days. Maybe it’s because the spirit stones that rushed in three months ago are almost used up.

She thought it was time for her to set off to find some spiritual stones and herbs.

In the afternoon, Ji Jue suddenly told Yu Shu that he would be out for a few days.

"You are about to break through the realm in the past few days. Don't move around and wait for me to come back."

Before Yu Shu nodded, Ji Jue disappeared in a hurry.

At night, Yu Shu was sleeping alone in the dormitory, and the 037 on the pillow suddenly emitted a faint light.

It slowly opened its eyes and stared intently at Yu Shu, who was sleeping soundly.
