Chapter 21 He can't leave here

Huo Yan frowned and looked at the absent-minded Yu Shu, "Yushu, what's wrong with you?"

Yu Shu, who was usually very enthusiastic about alchemy, was frequently distracted today.

When Yu Shu heard her name, she came to her senses instantly, "Ah?"

She shook her head and whispered, "It's okay."

Ji Jue was meditating not far away. When he heard the movement here, he slowly opened his eyes and said, "If you can't meditate, there is no need to waste time here."

Yu Shu's eyes darkened, Huo Yan frowned, smacked his lips, and he echoed, "Let's get here first today."

Yu Shu let out a long sigh of relief. She was always distracted by the mission in her mind.

She bent down slightly, bowed, and exited Yuxi Cave.

Huo Yan looked at Yu Shu's worried look and couldn't help but look at Ji Jue and asked, "What on earth did you do to someone last night?"

It was okay not to mention this matter, but Ji Jue's face became serious when he mentioned it, and he said coldly, "It's not all the good things you did."

Seeing Ji Jue's look, Huo Yan felt as if he had tasted something fishy. He smiled very weakly and said in a cowardly manner, "Ouch! Tell me, what happened to you last night?"

Ji Jue glanced at Huo Yan without any intention of paying attention to him. He stood up and left.

"Hey, hey!" Huo Yan called several times but didn't respond, so he wasn't annoyed at all.

Huo Yan shrugged, crossed his arms over his chest, raised the corners of his mouth, and smiled mischievously.

After leaving Yuxi Cave, Ji Jue didn't go anywhere and went directly to find Yu Shu.

He walked quietly behind Yu Shu, "What are you thinking about?"

It stands to reason that with Yu Shu's cultivation level, she would not be able to sense Ji Jue, but due to the connection between hearts, she instantly knew that the person behind her was Ji Jue.

"I..." Yu Shu opened her mouth and stopped halfway.

She really didn't know what to say.

Ji Jue raised his eyebrows, looking at Yu Shu's hesitant look, he guessed, "Does this matter have something to do with me?"

Yu Shu opened her eyes slightly and looked at Ji Jue in surprise, "How do you know?"

"I guess, judging from your embarrassed look, it probably has something to do with me." Ji Jue sat next to Yu Shu, his expression as usual, still cold and arrogant.

"If I have something that I have to go out to do, what should I do?" Yu Shu raised her eyes, looked at Ji Jue's profile, and cautiously asked.

"Then do it." Ji Jue frowned, as if he didn't understand Yu Shu's concerns.

Yu Shu bit her lower lip lightly, "I mean to leave the Demon and Ghost Prison and return to the Cultivation Continent."

"Then do it." Ji Jue tilted his head slightly, looked at Yu Shu, and repeated, "Didn't you say it? It's something that must be done."

Yu Shu didn't expect Ji Jue to agree so happily, and she felt a little uncomfortable in her heart.

"What about us?" Yu Shu regretted it after blurting it out.

Ji Jue's eyebrows were slightly raised, and there was a glint in his eyes, as if he liked the word 'us' very much.

Yu Shu's eyes wandered and she hurriedly said, "I mean, our heart-to-heart bond, didn't you say at the beginning that you couldn't leave until we untied it?"

The corner of Ji Jue's mouth curled up in a small arc, and then it disappeared in a flash, "So you've been worried about this?"

Yu Shu lowered her head and responded in a low voice, "Yeah."

Immediately, she heard Ji Jue's chuckle. She raised her head suddenly and was about to ask what the laughter was about, but she ran directly into Ji Jue's black eyes.

There are a few scarlet lights in the black eyes, and the red light is as red as the swaying lotus that day, making people fall.

Yu Shu's eyes flickered, and her heartbeat was suddenly disrupted. Just as she was about to say something, she heard Ji Jue's magnetic voice.

"Don't worry, I will always be with you."

Yu Shu's heart suddenly accelerated because of these words. She looked away unnaturally and swallowed.

She felt so strange. She thought Ji Jue would tell her to go back quickly or give her some life-saving magic weapons, but he seemed to see through her little thoughts.

She said out of nowhere that he would always be with her.

Yu Shu's heart was filled immediately.

"When are you leaving?" Ji Jue's voice sounded again.

Yu Shu pretended to cough twice and said, "In a few days, let's just say this. I will let you know then, and I'll go pack my things first!"

After saying that, Yu Shu ran away as fast as she was running away.

Ji Jue looked at Yu Shu's fleeing figure and couldn't help but smile.

------

"What!" Huo Yan said in shock, "You're leaving?!"

Yu Shu thought about it and told Huo Yan. After all, Huo Yan was still her alchemy master.

Huo Yan frowned and took two steps back and forth in the room, "Does Ji Jue know about this?"

Yu Shu nodded, "Master, he knows."

"He agreed?" Huo Yan suddenly stopped and asked with raised eyebrows.

Yu Shu just thought that Huo Yan couldn't accept that she was leaving, so she nodded again with some embarrassment.

This made Huo Yan's heart sink to the bottom, and his face immediately darkened. He stared at Yu Shu with a heavy gaze, as if he was thinking about something.

Yu Shu was a little uncomfortable being stared at by Huo Yan, "Well... don't be too sad, I will be back soon."

Huo Yan lowered his eyes and said slowly, "This seal of the demon hell realm is only useful for monsters, demon cultivators, and ghost cultivators, but not for human beings."

"But Ji Jue, as a human cultivator, has stayed here for nine hundred years and never left for a day. Why?"

When Yu Shu heard this, her eyebrows wrinkled, and she shook her head blankly.

Nine hundred years? Has Ji Jue been here for nine hundred years?

Huo Yan looked slightly cold, "Because he can't leave here."

A trace of surprise flashed in Yu Shu's eyes, "What does this mean?"

Huo Yan didn't answer immediately. He took Yu Shu's hand and flew towards Yuxi Cave.

He came to Yuxi Cave and fumbled on the wall a few times. A stone door hidden in the wall opened in response.

Yu Shu's mouth opened slightly unconsciously. She had stayed here for so long and never knew that there was a dark room here.

Huo Yan pulled Yu Shu and walked in.

As soon as the two of them stepped inside, something suddenly lit up. Weird runes and complicated lines spread all the way out of the cave, with no end in sight.

"This, is this a formation?" Yu Shu looked at this formation and always felt familiar, but when she thought about it, she couldn't remember anything.

"This is a formation that has trapped Ji Jue for nine hundred years." Huo Yan looked at the formation on the ground, "He cannot leave this ghost prison, let alone let others discover it and destroy this formation."

"A hundred years ago, I jumped into this ghost prison and was rescued by Ji Jue. I stayed in the ghost prison and discovered this secret by accident."

He was directly kicked out of the Ghost Prison Palace by Ji Jue because of this.

"Yu Shu, Ji Jue has been guarding this alone for nine hundred years." Huo Yan turned to look at Yu Shu with a sincere expression. Just as he was about to continue speaking, he heard someone scolding him.

"Huo Yan!"

Two ropes transformed from spiritual power tied the two of them and dragged them out.

Ji Jue's eyes flashed coldly, and he looked at the two people on the ground with an unkind expression.

But Huo Yan still had the courage to go on and said, "Yu Shu, if you leave, Ji Jue will become a person again. He can't leave here, and no one can get close to it."

"But you are different. The heart-to-heart contract allows you to share your life charts. Only you in the world can stay by his side."

Yu Shu looked stunned for a moment, her mouth opened and closed slightly, but she couldn't say a word.

Huo Yan wanted to say something, but Ji Jue blocked his mouth with spiritual power, and he kept whimpering.

Ji Jue gave Huo Yan a cold glare, and Huo Yan calmed down instantly.

He pulled Yu Shu up from the ground and took Yu Shu out.

Ji Jue frowned, "You must forget everything you saw and heard just now, let alone mention it to others."

Yu Shu's eyelashes trembled and she asked eagerly, "So is everything Huo Yan said true?"

"Are you stuck here for nine hundred years? Alone?"

Ji Jue's eyebrows flashed, but he did not answer directly, "Don't believe Huo Yan's words, I stayed here voluntarily."

"What I just told you is true. You don't have to worry about me finding my own way out."

Seeing that Yu Shu still looked worried, Ji Jue smiled and said, "I never lie to people. You pack your things first. Since you want to go out, leave early."

Yu Shu wanted to say something else, but was stopped by Ji Jue, who called out, "Xi'er."

Xi'er appeared from the air, saluted, and took Yu Shu's hand. He said in a sweet voice, "Princess, I will take you to pack your things."

After Xi'er pulled Yu Shu away, Ji Jue returned to Yuxi Cave.

He looked at Huo Yan who was tied into a silkworm chrysalis with cold eyes, and with a move of his fingers, his spiritual power was withdrawn.

Huo Yan sat on the ground, looking a little aggrieved. He rubbed his arms, "I know what I did was wrong. But if Yu Shu really goes out and doesn't come back, what will you do?"

A dim light flashed across Ji Jue's eyes, "I have my own way."

Huo Yan pouted and muttered, "What can you do."

"Since you know you were wrong, you should atone for your sins." Ji Jue half-closed his eyes and said calmly.

Huo Yan looked up at Ji Jue in confusion, and then heard Ji Jue say.

"You are right here, guarding my ghost prison palace for me."

Huo Yan was shocked, "Do you want to..."

Ji Jue smiled and said, "You're right. It's rare for me to have someone I'm attracted to. How could I let him go so easily?"

The two exchanged a tacit look, and everything was unspoken.
