Chapter 40

Bai Jun was silent in the Ten Thousand Snake Mountains, practicing hard day after day and year after year.

After devouring the corpses of three monster beasts, Qing Cang shed his skin again and grew to four feet long, only half a foot shorter than Bai Jun.

Moreover, Green Snake also refined the horizontal bones in its mouth and quickly learned to speak under Bai Jun's training.

Bai Jun taught the Tuna Technique to Qing Cang without reservation, even if it was just a very superficial method of cultivating demons, Hu Qiniang never expressed any intention to teach similar techniques. Maybe she didn't, but it was more likely that she didn't want to teach it.

.

It can be seen from this that even if the demon cultivator practices the Tuna method, it is cherished to the extreme. Bai Jun can be regarded as owing a great debt to the City God.

On this day, the sun rises in the east, and two green and white snakes in the valley each coil themselves up and quietly recite the Tao Te Ching.

Regardless of whether it works or not, it has become a habit.

Moreover, the Tao Te Ching is indeed quite effective in cultivating one's mind. Not only can one realize some earth-shattering supernatural powers from it, but it is also rare to be able to have a clear mind and calm the mind.

Most monsters are still feral. Once the animal nature is aroused and they fall into anger, they have no wisdom. And the angry monsters are too easy for the enemy to find loopholes.

Bai Yan finished his homework much earlier than Qing Cang. He raised his head to face the rising sun and accidentally glanced at Qing Snake.

His mind wandered, and he put his head forward to observe, only to see two seemingly non-existent bulges growing on the back of the green snake's head.

The reason why I say it seems to be there or not is because it is too inconspicuous, and I really can't be sure whether it is a bulge or his eyesight.

Bai Jun thought of that impossible legend.

The snake demon turns into a dragon!

Qingcang noticed something, opened his eyes and asked in confusion: "Brother, what's wrong?"

The childish voice and timbre of his milky voice show his intelligence, which is probably the wisdom of a ten-year-old child, but it is much better than before. At least he can memorize two scriptures, the Tao Te Ching and the Mahaparinirvana Sutra.

"It's okay, you can continue to recite the morning sermon quietly." Bai Jun crawled to the side, groping his head with his tail, expecting two bumps to pop out.

Even unwilling to do so, he ran to the waterhole and took a picture of himself. After looking at it for a long time, he didn't find any bulge on the top of his head.

Transform into a dragon! Bai Jun also wants to transform into a dragon. According to legend, a dragon can be big or small. It can rise or disappear. If it is big, it can stir up clouds and spit out mist. If it is small, it can hide its form. If it rises, it can fly in the universe, and if it is hidden, it can hide its form.

Lurking within the waves.

It's a pity that I really don't seem to have any dragon blood, so I can't transform into a dragon.

Or maybe, it was the first time I saw a human being, called a snake instead of a dragon, and I lost the first seal of my destiny!

Bai Jun's state of mind returned to its original state after a slight disturbance. Snakes are not ordinary species. In myths and legends, seven or eight of the ten great gods can have something to do with snakes.

He recognizes the snake clan and does not deny himself because of his desire to transform into a dragon. Only by seeing his true self and understanding himself can he go further.

The sun gradually rises, and the summer heat envelopes the human mountains and forests.

Instead, Bai Jun slowly climbed out to patrol the mountain.

Along the way, the snakes retreated and the beasts were frightened. Even the wild leopard, Flathead Brother, did not dare to show any trace in front of Bai Jun.

Speaking of leopards, Bai Jun thought of the wild leopard in the Snake King Valley that he had scarred on its face, and it seemed to have become a spirit.

It lives on the edge of Wan She Mountain, and from time to time it sneaks into the mountain to catch one or two snakes to eat.

Seeing that he was demanding enough, Bai Jun spared its life.

This mountain forest cannot have only one species. Bai Jun has always maintained the ecological balance. The aura of Wanshe Mountain has become stronger over the past hundred years.

He also became more and more familiar with the vegetation of Wan She Mountain, especially the vitality of heaven and earth in every place in Snake King Valley, and the directions of Yin and Yang and the Five Elements in every place could not be clearer.

Near the cave, Bai Jun's combat power is greatly blessed. This is one of the reasons why many monsters will flee to the cave when they encounter danger.

Bai Yan walked around the six or seven peaks around the Snake King Valley. The outer mountain roads were too far away and he didn't bother to explore. Moreover, there were many humans who needed to rely on the mountains for a living. He only needed to walk around for ten and a half days.

If the months are not gone, the poor people who rely on the mountains for a living will have nothing to eat.

The Snake King Valley was divided into inner mountains and outer mountains by Bai Zhen using his own breath. The inner mountains were divided into the inner and outer mountains of the Snake King Valley.

Mortals can enter the mountains to cut firewood and hunt, or to collect herbs, dig wild vegetables, pick fruits, and fish for shrimps. As long as the mountains are not dry, the villages at the foot of the mountains will not decline.

The villagers who rely on the mountains have a high respect for the mountains, just like the herdsmen on the prairie have faith in the Heaven of Immortality.

The inner mountain is a place where snakes breed and where Baijun grows and raises spiritual creatures. There are thirteen snake dens that no mortal can enter.

If the spiritual grass in the snake's den is seen by greedy humans, once they walk out alive, it will most likely attract more humans who want to die. Therefore, entering the inner mountain may be punished, but if you get close to the snake's den, you will never be able to leave again.

Out of this mountain.

That old man Jiang was the best example.

The mountains nourish all living things, but all living things only know how to take but not how to protect the mountains and forests.

Until the appearance of Bai Jun, the green mountains and clear waters were protected, and the evil reputation of Wanshe Mountain shocked greedy outsiders. Liu Xian's belief guided the villagers at the foot of the mountain to be kind to the mountain and to coexist with nature.

In the past hundred years, humans have never set fire to the mountains or opened up wasteland for land. The expansion of human traces to the south has been blocked by Bai Jun.

In this beautiful place, the spirit of nature is born.

For one hundred and forty-five years, Bai Jun has protected the mountains and waters, maintaining the reproduction of all living things in the mountains. Even if countless snakes are attracted by his breath and form snake nests here, it has not affected the ecological balance.

On the contrary, protecting the mountains and forests and cultivating spiritual intelligence through various means has been a blessing.

I don't know when a trace of black and yellow merit appeared on his head.

After patrolling the mountain, Bai Jun felt a little tired, so he went back to Snake King Valley to take a nap.

The moonlight first shines on the ancient willow pond. The mountains are high and the moon is clear. Frogs are croaking quietly.

In the trance of sleep, Bai Jun found that his body was light and light. When he lowered his head, he saw that he was flying high in the sky, overlooking the mountains, lush forests, waterfalls flying under the moon, large and small rivers and lakes in the mountains with gurgling running water, and green mountains far away.

The water near the water contains smoke, and the secluded mountains and wild fields naturally enter the heart.

Bai Jun travels in the sky, like a white dragon circling the sky. He opens his mouth to breathe into the wind and exhales into clouds and mist. The wind and clouds merge into the mountains and forests like light veils and light smoke passing by. The moonlight is hazy, and the silver light tilts thousands of miles.

Bai Jun suddenly realized that he could close his eyes! Snakes have no eyelids. In other words, snake eyes can never be closed.

But now, he closed his eyes.

The mountains and forests for hundreds of miles, with birds chirping and insects chirping, frogs hopping and snakes swimming, foxes scurrying and rabbits running, the wind blowing leaves falling, and the grass and trees withering yellow all came into his heart.

Bai Jun closed his eyes and subconsciously opened his mouth and called out: "Wind~"

A strong wind suddenly arises, which is neither a demon nor evil but belongs to heaven. The wind rolls around the mountains and forests, and the clouds and mist disperse.

"Cloud~"

Strong winds arose from all directions, causing clouds to move in all directions, and the sea of clouds stretched endlessly.

"Thunder~"

Deep in the heavy clouds, lightning pierces the sky, thunder roars, and all evil spirits retreat.

"Rain~"

Thunder and lightning flashed, the wind was furious, and a downpour of rain moistened the mountains, forests, and vegetation.

The sound of patter of rain reached Bai Jun's ears, and he suddenly raised his head. He was still in the cave and had just woken up.

"It turns out that it was just a dream?"

Bai Jun shook his head helplessly. He thought about it every day and dreamed about it at night. It seemed really good. Isn't it the ability of a dragon to control wind and rain in dreams?

Under the moonlight, Bai Jun shook his head to clear his mind, climbed out of the cave and continued to breathe the moonlight.

To the east of the Jin Dynasty, there was only a foggy mountain separated from Fengdu Kingdom, one of the three major kingdoms in Linnan Continent, which stretched for two hundred miles and served as a buffer between the two countries.

As its name suggests, Wushan is shrouded in clouds and mist all year round, so it is rich in tea. The Yunwu tea here sells well in several states in Jin and Fengdu. There is also a rather supernatural Taoist temple in the mountain called Yunwu Temple.

There are only three or five Taoist boys in the temple, and there is only one true Taoist priest who has been awarded talismans and Taoist seals. His Taoist name is Yunyin Zhenren. The villagers of Fengdu Kingdom in the village at the foot of the mountain call him Yunyin Master, Yunyin Immortal, and

Extraordinary respect.

The reason for this is that Master Yunyin once saved mortals who were critically ill and dying, caught ghosts and exorcised evil spirits at night, and had many miraculous things happen to him.

This year, there was no rain in the mountains in March. All the rivers and lakes dried up, nine out of ten wells went dry, and the crops all withered due to drought and lack of water.

The common people are in dire straits, and all kinds of beasts have fled into the mountains.

Master Yunyin was prayed by all the people to go out of the mountain to ask for rain and to ask God for mercy.

Master Yunyin built an altar at the mouth of Taohe River outside Huangjia Village to worship the Dharma, and he went to the altar to practice the Dharma on the 69th day.

At this time, thousands of people gathered under the Taoist altar, and even the prefect of a prefecture personally came to watch the Dharma and pray for rain.

It was a hot summer day, and the people were crowded together. The magistrate's attendants endured the heat and fanned the adults to drive away the heat.

His staff sighed: "I only hope that Master Yunyin can really invite rain to save the people from suffering."

The prefect said angrily: "You must invite rain for me, otherwise I will not be able to save my head. In the three years since I took over as prefect, taxes have been getting lower year by year. The prefect has already taken me to task. If there is another month of drought this year,

If I don’t get anything, how can I pay taxes to the court?

I believe that I love the people as my son, and I work hard day and night for the public and the people. Is God going to punish me like this? Mr. Zhao, do you think I should resign?"

Mr. Zhao, the staff member, hurriedly comforted him: "Sir, your every word and deed is in the eyes of God. Maybe this drought is God's test for you. Don't worry, I heard that Master Yunyin is a member of the Taoist sect.

The master even taught the talismans three times, and also taught the Three Cave and Five Thunder Sutras of the Shangqing Dynasty. His teachings are unfathomable. Since he has answered the requests of all people, he will do his best."

The prefect felt relieved after hearing this, "That's good. We, Fengdu Shangguo, have always respected the Taoist sect. In recent years, some Gu masters from outside the border have come out from nowhere, and they have been confusing the people with their evil words all day long. When it comes to the critical moment, we have to

Only when a Taoist master comes out can the situation be controlled."

"Hey, look, Master Yunyin is on stage!"

"Is this Master Yunyin? Doesn't it look like anything magical? It's not as good as that Taoist priest who cheated me of a tael of silver."

"Shut up, you foreigner. How can Master Yunyin's reputation be compared with that of a charlatan?"

There was a commotion among the people below.

Master Yunyin is wearing a light gray Taoist robe, holding a fly whisk, and stepping on Tiangang steps. He looks in front of him, followed by two Taoist boys in their teens holding tokens and flags.

After he ascended the altar, he bowed his head to the people in all directions, and then raised his fly whisk to the sky. The people felt a sudden cool breeze and were amazed below.

Master Yunyin walked up to the altar to give his confession. The picture is made of silk. The upper part shows a black fish looking at the ring to the left, with ten stars in the sky. In the middle is a white dragon, spitting out black clouds. At the bottom is a picture of water waves, with a turtle looking to the left and spitting out black clouds.

Threads, and gold and silver vermilion decorated with dragon shapes. Master Yunyin picked up three incense sticks, held them together with both hands and inserted them into the sandalwood. They ignited spontaneously without fire, and smoke curled up and lingered.

He bowed to the sky and to the earth, raised his fly whisk, raised his left hand, and recited softly: "

Taiyuan Haoshi's thunder and fire essence combines yin and yang to guard the thunder city.

Guan Bo's wind and fire ascended to Yuanting, and his style stirred up ghosts.

Piao Zhu Taihua orders the guests, God has the command to proceed quickly.

When the sun is harvested, rainfall occurs immediately, and when the dragon is driven away, the lightning comes out of Xuanhong.

I am going to do it urgently according to the curse. This is the name of the emperor ordained by the emperor of heaven. Anyone who dares to refuse will be guilty of a heavy crime. I am urgent like the law."

After the first recitation, the Taoist boy on the left handed over the soap flag. Master Yunyin took it, threw it in the air and shouted: "The wind is coming!"

The soap flag was thrown out and stood upright in front of the Dharma altar. The soap flag began to waver.

Strong winds blew in the sky, and the sky became dark.

Master Yunyin recited the rain prayer mantra again, took the token handed over by the Taoist boy, threw it behind the altar, stood upright, and shouted at the same time: "Yun Gathering!"

I saw clouds suddenly billowing from all directions in the sky, the sky gradually darkened, and the cloud curtain turned into dark clouds.

Master Yunyin recited the rain prayer spell again, picked up the small copper bell on the bill, and shook it, "Thunder is coming!"

"Ding Dang~"

"Boom~"

When the bell rang, thunder suddenly rang through the clouds, which shocked the people with surprise and joy, and they all cheered in the strong wind.

Master Yunyin glanced at the sky, shook the bell again, raised his Yun sleeves with both hands, and said in a long voice: "The rain is coming~"

"Boom~"

"Woo~"

"Pah la la~"

Thunder and lightning, storms coming!

The common people looked up to the sky and rejoiced in the wind and rain, accepting the moisture of the rain. Every home even brought out pots and jars to receive the rain.

Just as all the people were rejoicing, a terrifying beast roar shook the sky, and the rain stopped all over the sky. The strong wind suddenly stopped, the dark clouds dispersed, and the heavy rain stopped falling.

The smiles on the people's faces froze, and everyone looked into the distance in horror.

The prefect could not sit still anymore and hurriedly stepped forward and asked: "Master Yunyin, what's going on?"

Master Yunyin looked solemn. He pinched his fingers and looked toward the northeast with his eyes, and said loudly: "Fellow folks, please return home quickly and close the doors and windows. There are evil spirits causing trouble!"

When everyone heard this, they dispersed like birds and beasts, not even bothering to ask for rain.

However, after just one cup of tea, there were only three people left at the Dharma platform.

The Taoist boy behind Master Yunyin asked: "Master, are there really evil spirits? Then the rain you worked so hard for is wasted like this."

He sighed and said: "I, Master Yunyin, have been cultivating in Wushan for three hundred years, and I have achieved nearly half of my achievements, but I am finally suffering from this disaster. Disciple, please return to the mountain quickly and do not step out of the gate for three days!"

The Taoist boy was already fourteen or fifteen years old and knew a lot. He heard the words and said reluctantly: "Master, I have already entered the Qi Refining Sect. Maybe I can help you!"

Master Yunyin laughed and said: "Your Qi refining skills can't even deal with a tiger, leopard or wood wolf. Staying here will only cause trouble for me."

After that, he pointed at another Taoist boy who was standing still, played a magic formula, and shouted: "Where is the Yellow Turban Warrior?"

"Follow the real person's decree!" the stiff Taoist boy responded.

"Take Yunxing back to see quickly, you can't leave for three days!"

"Yes! Real person!"

As soon as the words fell, the yellow scarf warrior wearing Taoist clothes picked up Yunxing and left as fast as flying.

In June of that year, the ferocious beast Hanba crossed the border. Master Yunyin of Zhongxuanmen Xianhongguan tried his best to stop the ferocious beast from causing trouble, even spending Dao Talismans to severely injure Hanba.

The Hanba passed through the Yunwu Mountains and went straight to Yunzhou, Dajin, where he lurked to recuperate from his injuries.
