Chapter 26 Dilemma

"Captain, you're awake!"

Shimamoto Shoichi slowly opened his eyes, and everything in front of him gradually became clear from blur, and finally he could see the familiar faces clearly.

Surrounding him were all the commanders of the Second Brigade of the Independent Guard. Except for a few who were killed, all the rest were here. Even several injured team captains arrived on crutches and on stretchers.

Looking blankly at the anxious-looking officers under his command, Shimamoto Shoichi's stalled brain gradually began to move again, and he recalled some of the things that had just happened.

The Northeastern Army in the brigade compound suddenly launched a sneak attack. He rushed out of the command post in a hurry, intending to gather his troops and launch a counterattack against the enemy. However, he did not expect that he was sniped by the enemy as soon as he stepped out of the door of the headquarters.

He fainted as soon as it got dark.

As for what happened next, he doesn't know!

Slightly leaning down from the stretcher, Shimamoto Shoichi originally wanted to sit up, but as soon as his body moved, he felt a sharp pain in his ribs, and he couldn't help but groan at the feeling.

"Commander, you have two broken ribs, and the medical soldier said you can no longer do strenuous exercise!" Several officers quickly tried to dissuade him, hoping that he could lie on the stretcher safely and have a good rest.

"Get out of the way!"

Masaichi Shimamoto scolded angrily, then pushed away the two squadron leaders who wanted to help him, then gritted his teeth and sat up from the stretcher, then got off the ground again and stood next to the table.

Although these actions are usually nothing, after he finished them, he was sweating profusely on his forehead, as if he had just washed his face.

The surrounding Japanese commanders all stared at the captain, who was known for his iron-blooded nature, with expressions of reverence and admiration in their eyes.

"Get a towel quickly!" A Japanese officer woke up and shouted outside, asking the orderly to bring in a wet towel.

Taking the towel and gently wiping his head, Shimamoto raised his hands and tightened the loose collar button, and then glanced straight at the lieutenant general in the room.

"Everyone is a soldier of the Empire of Japan. You should know that soldiers must serve the public wholeheartedly and die for it. For the honor of the Empire of Japan and the future of the Yamato nation, you must do it even if you sacrifice your own life!"

His cold voice echoed in the room, no one spoke, everyone was listening to the captain's teachings!

"In this round of encirclement and suppression of the Beida Camp stationed by the 7th Brigade of the Northeastern Army, all the personnel of the Second Brigade moved forward bravely and were not afraid of death. Their spirit is very worthy of praise!"

All Japanese officers immediately stood at attention with their feet and replied in unison, "Be loyal to His Majesty the Emperor and fight for the Yamato nation!"

"Okay, these are soldiers with the Bushido spirit!" Shimamoto Shoichi nodded with satisfaction, then waved his hand, "You guys go out first, I want to think carefully about the next combat deployment!"

All the Japanese officers responded and then withdrew!

After his officers withdrew, Shimamoto Shoichi breathed a sigh of relief, and then he slowly sat down on the chair while holding on to the table. It took him more than a minute to sit down.

When he sat down on the chair, Shimamoto let out a sigh of relief. When he moved just now, he felt as if there were countless files crushing his ribs. That feeling gave him the urge to shout!

But he couldn't care about this anymore, because there was a more serious problem waiting for him now, which was where the second brigade would go!

The attack started at 10:30 p.m., and the Second Battalion had been fighting for ten consecutive hours. It was already eight o'clock in the morning. Although most of the Beida Battalion was captured, the core brigade compound was always in the northeast.

Under the control of the Japanese army, as for those warehouses, the Japanese troops who searched found that they were empty for a long time. Even if there were some leftovers, they had been destroyed and turned into useless waste!

This means that his second brigade, after losing more than half of the brigade, gained nothing except occupying an empty barracks!

The more Shimamoto Shoichi thought about it, the more irritated he became, and the broken bones under his ribs were aching for a while!

What to do, what to do?

…………

Unlike Shimamoto Shoichi, Luo Xiao is in a good mood now. He made a sneak attack on the Japanese and knocked out the Japanese artillery squadron, eliminating the biggest threat to the brigade compound. This result makes people unhappy.

If we include Feng Yuanyuan and his Huya Special Forces Brigade's First Special Operations Squadron and Second Special Operations Squadron, which have already eliminated the two brigades that the Japanese army came to reinforce, then he can't be happy even if he doesn't!

Cheng Tianlei saw the excitement on Luo Xiao's face, so he asked curiously, "Luo Xiao, if you have anything happy, please tell me and make me happy too!"

Luo Xiao deliberately made a mysterious expression, and then said, "I won't tell you for now, I guess you will know the result soon!"

Seeing that Luo Xiao refused to tell him what was going on, Cheng Tianlei couldn't help but muttered and walked aside, "Why is it so mysterious? If you don't tell me, don't tell me. You will know sooner or later!"

Luo Xiao was amused by Cheng Tianlei's angry look!

Suddenly, Jiang Dahai, who was in charge of observation, shouted from the roof of the brigade headquarters war room, "Captain, look, the Japanese seem to be on all fronts!"

"What!"

After Luo Xiao rushed to the bunker, he grabbed the telescope placed on it and looked outside the brigade headquarters gate. He saw Japanese soldiers standing next to each other, densely packed in the open space outside the brigade headquarters gate. Each one was holding a rifle and pointing toward

Coming through the gate!

Hundreds of people charged together, but no one in the crowd could speak. They all closed their mouths and charged forward. The heaviness made people feel so depressed and uncomfortable!

Luo Xiao held up the telescope and looked at the crowd for a moment, then the telescope extended toward the back of the crowd and stopped in the Japanese camp for a while before putting down the telescope.

Cheng Tianlei rushed to Luo Xiao with a machine gun. After lying down, he said, "Luo Xiao, this little devil is really stubborn. He can launch such a large-scale attack even though the commander is dead. It's really a big deal."

Heart!"

Luo Xiao shook his head and said, "No, although the Japanese army has launched a full-scale attack, the Japanese army seems to be packing their bags in the camp, and some supplies have been loaded into the truck. It seems that they are planning to retreat, so if I am not wrong, the Japanese army

He’s about to slip away!”

"Escaped, how could it be possible?" Cheng Tianlei heard that his head was shaking like a twanging drum, "Now the Japanese have the upper hand and have trapped us in such a corner. Unless their brains are burned out, they will

retreat!"

"If the Japanese don't retreat, their brains will be burned out!" Luo Xiao didn't know whether he was praising the Japanese or sarcastic. No matter how he heard it, it was not a good thing. "Shimamoto Shoichi is not dead at all. With his intelligence, he should be able to

Guessing his current situation, retreating is his best choice!"

After hearing from Luo Xiao that Shimamoto Masaichi was not dead, Cheng Tianlei grabbed the binoculars of the person next to him and looked across. He also saw Shimamoto Masaichi sitting upright on a war horse in the Japanese camp opposite, "

It’s really weird, I clearly hit him with one shot, but he didn’t die!”
