Chapter 19 Zuixianlou sells fish

Cui Hongyu felt warm in her heart, but then she thought about it. After going to the county town early in the morning, even if everything went well, it would be almost noon when she came back. How could she do it without eating? Thinking of this, she said softly, "Husband, then I will go early."

Get up and cook porridge for you."

After saying that, she lay down next to Qiao'er again, "It's getting late, husband, please rest early."

Chen Xiaobei knew that Cui Hongyu was so anxious to lie down, not because she was anxious to rest, but because she didn't want to argue with him on this matter.

It was dawn the next morning, and when Chen Xiaobei was still debating whether to get up now, Cui Hongyu had already gotten up quietly. When she moved, the bed made a creaking sound.

Chen Xiaobei coughed slightly to indicate that he was awake too.

Cui Hongyu came to his bedside, leaned forward, and gently pressed against his ear, "Husband, please sleep a little longer, and I will make porridge for you."

Chen Xiaobei originally wanted to stop it, but then he thought about it and gave up.

This is Cui Hongyu's way of expressing her feelings. If he doesn't let her do anything, maybe she will feel even more uneasy.

Listening to the sparse sounds outside, Chen Xiaobei didn't feel sleepy at all, so he simply got up.

He just squatted at the door of the kitchen and watched Cui Hongyu cooking porridge.

Cui Hongyu also noticed that Chen Xiaobei was looking at her, and seemed a little flustered. She lowered her head and just filled the stove with firewood, not daring to look up at him.

"Hongyu, you are so good-looking." Chen Xiaobei praised sincerely.

This sentence made Cui Hongyu blush even more.

"Husband, don't make fun of me."

"Okay, I'm going to put down the net first, and I'll come home later to have some porridge." Chen Xiaobei stood up, took the umbrella net, and walked out.

He came to the river and set up the umbrella net. After waiting for a while, he estimated that the rice porridge was almost ready, and then he went back.

Sure enough, when he got home, Cui Hongyu had already filled the porridge and put it on the small stone table.

Seeing Chen Xiaobei coming back, Cui Hongyu seemed a little panicked, "Husband, the wild eggs are not cooked yet, why don't you wait a little longer."

Looking at the half-drawn iron pot, the water hadn't boiled yet. Chen Xiaobei smiled and said, "I won't eat the wild eggs. Take care of yourself and Qiaoer at home. If anything happens, call the second aunt from the west neighbor."

After a quick bowl of rice porridge, Chen Xiaobei came to the river again.

His luck was not bad today. After waiting for a while, the first fish was caught in the net.

Just like yesterday, Chen Xiaobei tossed the fish onto the shore and waited until the fish lost its strength before taking it out.

Chen Xiaobei made another small pit by the river, filled it with a shallow gulf of water, and put the fish in. The water level was so shallow that when the fish lay flat, it could only cover half of its body. Such a fish,

You can stay alive without regaining too much strength.

The second net gave him an unexpected surprise. This time he actually caught two half-foot-long fish.

There are also a few smaller ones.

Chen Xiaobei tied the three big fish on branches, and carried the other small fish in fishing nets, and hurried back home.

When he returned home, Chen Qiaoer hadn't gotten up yet, but Cui Hongyu was already sitting under the big tree and starting to embroider.

Chen Xiaobei put a few small fish on the table and said, "These fish will be stewed for lunch. You and Qiao'er can eat them."

After saying that, he hurriedly picked up the fish and set off on the road.

You don't need to go to the market to sell fish, but you have to go to restaurants and sell them door to door.

Chen Xiaobei was quite lucky. As soon as he turned the corner, he saw a magnificent restaurant in front of him.

The plaque on the restaurant says "Dragon flying and phoenix dancing, Zui Xian Lou".

To be able to open such a high-end restaurant, he must be a wealthy owner. Chen Xiaobei stood at the door with three fishes and looked inside.

The busy waiter immediately noticed him and walked up to him with a smile and said hello, "Do you want to eat? It's too early."

Since childhood, Chen Xiaobei knew that the shopkeeper of this store must be an educated person and know the ancient saying that kindness brings wealth.

Such people deserve to be made rich.

Chen Xiaobei raised the three fish in his hand and said, "I just caught them from the river this morning. Do you want to take them?"

The boy was stunned for a moment, then turned to the back hall and shouted, "The shopkeeper needs someone to find him."

Without much effort, a middle-aged man came out of the back hall.

This man had a rich look on his face, was wearing a brocade robe, and was holding a white towel in his hand. He was wiping his hands as he walked. It was obvious that he was busy working in the kitchen.

The shopkeeper came to Chen Xiaobei and politely raised his fists, "My name is Xu Zhi, you can just call me Lao Xu."

"It's shopkeeper Xu. I just caught three fish from the river. I don't know if you can take them here." Chen Xiaobei was even more polite.

Xu Zhi reached out and took the branch, raised the three fishes to his eyes, put his nose to them and smelled each one.

After smelling it, he nodded slightly, "Yes, it's quite fresh. Please give me a price!"

Chen Xiaobei stretched out a finger and said, "How can a fish get this number?"

Xu Zhi smiled slightly, "Okay, since you understand, okay, then it's easy."

Saying this, he called the waiter to come over and take away the fish, and then walked to the counter.

Three young men lined up on the counter one after another, and said to Chen Xiaobei with a smile, "Master, if you can bring me live fish, the price will be at least doubled."

"I will, and I will send you live fish in the future."

Chen Xiaobei thanked him and left with three copper coins. He was not in a hurry to go home, but went to find Lao Wu, the vegetable seller.

Although it will take some time for the vegetables in my field to be harvested, there is no harm in talking to Lao Wu early.

Wuzhong seemed very happy to see him coming. While greeting the guests, he had time to say to him, "What have you been doing these days? Why don't you come to sell pheasants?"

Chen Xiaobei smiled bitterly, "Brother, how can we catch pheasants every day? Those guys are very thieves."

"Hey, Butler Cao came over yesterday and asked about you."

"Really? A big shot like Butler Cao actually still cares about me." I looked very surprised.

Old Wu nodded, "I told you a long time ago that he is the biggest financial backer in our city. He told me that if I meet you, please pass on a message. If you get any game on the mountain, just send it to Cao Mansion."

"

When I heard about this Chen Xiaobei, I was overjoyed. Didn't he have a stable buyer?

"Sure, then I'll go into the mountains again and see if I can get some for him."

"By the way, Lao Wu, I also planted some green vegetables in the field. If they grow, how about you help me sell them?"

Old Wu laughed and said, "If you want me to help you sell it, you can place it next to me and we will sell it next to each other. I guarantee that we can both sell it out."

Facing such a forthright Lao Wu, Chen Xiaobei was still very moved. He was really lucky to be able to meet such a year-end friend in the county town.

Chen Xiaobei went to a rice store and bought two kilograms of rice for one copper coin, but he was reluctant to spend the remaining two.

When he returned home from the county seat, neither Cui Hongyu nor Chen Qiaoer were there.
