Chapter 65 Confused

The distant sky slowly glowed with white light, revealing the brilliance of dawn to people bit by bit.

This room was also blessed, with light replacing darkness and warm sunlight flooding the room, making it comfortable.

Mingxi opened her eyes and blocked the sunlight in her eyes with the back of her hands. She felt in a trance, as if she was lying on the bed at home.

A strange and familiar face appeared in her sight, and she was suddenly shocked. It turned out that the nightmare was not over yet, and she had not escaped from hell yet.

"Are you awake?" The king stood in an inconspicuous corner, holding a blood-red wine glass in his hand.

Ming Xi glared at him with hatred, turned her eyes away, and said nothing.

The king came over, sat on the edge of the bed, and reached out to touch her forehead. She stubbornly avoided his hand and frowned in disgust.

He suddenly leaned down and approached her ambiguously.

"What are you going to do again? If you touch me again, I will die." Mingxi avoided it in fear. She had had enough of this devil.

The king turned her face, put his chin against her forehead, and felt the temperature: "The fever is gone. Eat something and rest for a day and you'll be fine."

Ming Xi opened her eyes wide, suspecting that she heard wrongly.

His tone, although not gentle, had lost its edge and made him look like a normal person.

Such plain but caring words came out of his mouth, which made her feel incredible.

Moreover, she has been here for almost two days and has never seen a trace of sunlight. The maid said that this is because he doesn't like light, but why did he open the window this morning?

Is it for...me?

No, Mingxi, you can't forget what a cruel and terrifying devil he is, you can't be confused by his temporary changes, you can't...

The king's lips came towards him again, but she subconsciously avoided them and shouted in fear: "Don't touch me."

"Shh..." he whispered, "I just want to say something to you."

She frowned and looked at him, why is he acting weird today?

"Forget that you saw me last night, otherwise, you and all your relatives will die miserably!" The king's gloomy tone was like a cold wind, penetrating into her body and making her tremble.

Chills.

This sentence once again shattered her previous conjecture. Whatever became gentle and changed, it was all a terrible disguise.
