Chapter 482: Emperor Toba

He is said to be a guest, but in fact he is a host. Although it is only in name now, he is still a host after all; and the Song Dynasty envoys led by Ximen Qing are his guests.

No one expected that Emperor Toba would casually take a few chamberlains and quietly walk into the courtyard of Korokan.

Without a note or any support, Emperor Toba was like the thirteen or fourteen-year-old child next door, staying quietly under the cherry blossom tree, seeming to be admiring it, while the few chamberlains were far away, interested. They blocked the entrance to the courtyard.

Even the envoys of the Song Dynasty and Cai Nu were blocked in the courtyard.

Of course, life is short, and many of them are still having their morning "fight" under the covers.

The first one to notice was Sugawara Takauchika. This nerdy guy sent the accompanying girl away before the first update. He said he wanted to read a book, but he just put on his pants and refused to acknowledge anyone else.

I went to bed early and got up early, and happened to meet Emperor Toba quietly looking at flowers in the courtyard.

Emperor Toba woke up early on purpose, changed into his regular clothes, and without any fanfare, he only brought a few trustworthy chamberlains with him and ran over from the Imperial Palace in one go.

When we arrived, not even all the officials at the Honglu Pavilion had gathered.[

Cai Nu came to accompany the Song Dynasty envoys, so the Honglu Pavilion naturally had to have some meat and fish flavor, right?

"The villain is the interpreter of the mission. Who is your Excellency?"

Takauchika Sugawara asked cautiously. This 13-14-year-old boy looks like a nuisance, but this is Kyoto after all. Cats and dogs don’t dare to just run into the courtyard of the Honglukan so early in the morning, let alone those blocking the road. The servants standing at the courtyard gate were wearing clothes that made Sugawara Takauchika identify them as well.

Could it be some curious prince?

Sugawara Takauchika was muttering, but the thirteen or fourteen-year-old boy suddenly smiled shyly: "Are you Sugawara Young Prisoner Takauchika? Have Sir Ximen gotten up? Please come out and talk."

The few words are not sharp, but the tone is that of a superior person

The revelation of suspicion made Sugawara Takauchika even more confused.

"Your surname is Takauchi?" Sugawara Takauchika asked tentatively.

Emperor Toba shook his sleeves: "Last name."

As soon as these two words were uttered, Sugawara Takachi's heart immediately brightened, and he hurriedly knelt down on the spot: "I have seen your majesty!"

Emperor Toba nodded politely and asked, "Is there a place to receive guests?"

When Sugawara Takachan hurriedly knocked on the door of Ximen Qing's room, Ximen Qing had just gotten out of Sang Sanniang's arms and was about to get dressed.

Emperor Toba's visit also surprised Ximen Kei, but after asking Sugawara Takauchika carefully, Ximen Kei immediately realized that this was a rare opportunity for him to talk to Emperor Toba. [

If he had gone according to his original plan, he would have tried to visit Emperor Toba today, and by the way observe the relationship between the grandsons of Emperor Shirakawa and Emperor Toba.

But I didn't expect that Emperor Toba would come to the door himself, and he obviously wanted to hide it from the old guy, Emperor Shirakawa. It seemed that Emperor Toba wanted to make some changes, which was actually a good thing for Ximen Qing's plan.

"Sugawara, go and invite Dr. An." Ximen Qing thought for a moment and then ordered, "I'll go see His Majesty the Emperor myself first."

Sugawara Takauchika didn't understand Ximen Kei's intention, but he still did as he was told; Ximen Kei thought about the clothes on the bed, said a few words to Sang Sanniang, and hurried to see Emperor Toba.

This meeting is very important to Ximen Qing's plan.

As soon as he stepped into the living room, Emperor Toba, who was admiring the calligraphy and paintings on the wall, turned around and looked at Ximen Kei.

"How is your Majesty?" Ximen Qing bowed slightly, appearing neither humble nor overbearing: "I am Ximen Chuixue, the envoy of the Song Dynasty."

"Fubuki? What a good name." Emperor Toba showed a smile: "The envoy came across the ocean and it was a bumpy journey. Thank you for your hard work."

Emperor Toba's Chinese is very standard and fluent.

The two sat down, not bothering to ask anyone to serve tea. Ximen Qing looked at him secretly, and saw that Emperor Toba and King Kai were about the same age, and couldn't help but make a comparison in his mind. Emperor Toba was thin and thin, with slender eyebrows.

He seemed to be still an innocent young man, while King Zhao Kai and Crown Prince Zhao Huan looked old-fashioned and sounded at least twice as old as their actual age.

He was about to get married at the age of fourteen, and he had to face a woman who was sent to him from his grandfather. Although the woman was only one year older than him, and they had met several times, she was arranged to be by his side.

chess pieces.

The two chatted for a while, and then Ximen Qing brought the topic to the wedding.

"This is all the Emperor's decision." Emperor Toba's tone was full of awe, not like the Lord of Japan at all: "It would be best for Mr. Ximen to come to watch the ceremony."

However, Ximen Qing saw a hint of dissatisfaction in the young man's face, and was about to regard this as a breakthrough, coughing: "Then the relationship between His Majesty and Miss Zhangzi must be very good."

"We have met each other several times." Emperor Toba frowned and grasped the corner of his sleeve with his fingers: "Miss Zhangzi's mother and sister are both my wet nurses. How can I say that they are familiar with each other?"

This kind of reaction can be said to be a sign of resignation.

"So," Ximen Qing smiled slightly: "There is another woman hidden in His Majesty's heart?"

This kind of question is really bold. If His Majesty Baihe was around, I am afraid that he would be ready to call someone to take down Ximen Qing for questioning.

But Emperor Toba was not Emperor Shirakawa. He chose to remain silent on this issue, but in fact he also indirectly acknowledged this fact.

Although he didn't know how Ximen Kei saw it, Emperor Toba secretly admired Ximen Kei's observation skills.

"Your Majesty, please forgive me for speaking frankly." Ximen Qing said: "The Emperor arranged for Miss Zhangzi to be with Your Majesty for another purpose."

The words were so direct that Emperor Toba had to defend his grandfather: "The Emperor also hopes that I will be happy, and Miss Shoko is also a good woman."

"Nice woman" came out of the mouth of a fourteen-year-old boy, and Ximen Qing didn't know how uncomfortable he felt.

"Does the Emperor want Miss Zhangzi to be the middle palace?" Ximen Qing made it clear: "This is not an ordinary position."

Emperor Toba naturally knew what Ximen Qing meant, and sighed slightly: "Miss Zhangzi will also be a good middle palace. The Emperor has confidence in her, and I also believe in her, Ximen-sama. Let's change the topic."

"No, this topic is very important." Ximen Qing flatly refused, playing with the thunder stone, and said slowly: "The authorities are blind to the beholder, and the arrangement mentioned by the official is not just this meaning."

"Then what do you mean?" Emperor Toba's arms trembled slightly.

"If I don't make it clear, I'm afraid Miss Zhangzi is pregnant at this moment." Ximen Qing threw out his last trump card, dragging Emperor Toba into the water: "We are getting married this year, and I'm afraid it won't be long before we have a son."

Emperor Toba stood up suddenly, looked at Ximen Qing with strange eyes, and then slowly sat down: "Sir Ximen has just arrived in Kyoto, and those are just rumors. How could the Emperor be such a person?"

Emperor Toba didn't get angry and leave, which already showed that there was something going on; he was talking about rumors, but he actually wanted to know the truth.

Ximen Qing saw through all this and said seriously: "Xiaguan has studied Taoism for many years, is proficient in Yin and Yang, and also knows divination and fortune telling. These can be seen from the hexagrams."

Ximen Kei deliberately used a word that was familiar to Emperor Toba, which really aroused the boy's interest: "Onmyoji? Is it the same Onmyoji as the Abe Onmyoji in the palace?"

The most famous onmyoji of the Heian period was Abe Seimei, but it seems that the year is wrong. I guess the Abe mentioned by Emperor Toba was his descendant.

"To be honest with you, Your Majesty, Japan's Yin-Yang theory was just stolen from the Song Dynasty. It can only be regarded as a superficial part of Yin-Yang theory."

In order to prove this point, Ximen Qing took off the thunder stone and rubbed it casually, and the jade pendant suddenly lit up.

"This thing is so amazing!" Emperor Toba's eyes lit up with the Thunder Stone, full of curiosity.

The Lei Gong Stone's light disappeared as soon as it was released. Ximen Qing put it away again and said with a smile: "Xiaguan is known as the divine divination, and I have never missed it. If your Majesty doesn't believe it, you can ask the palace doctor to take Miss Zhangzi's pulse, and then

Knowledgable."

In traditional medicine, if you can't even detect your happy pulse, you can simply kill him and return him to the furnace; but if the imperial doctor dares to announce it before the wedding, you can also kill him.

"Even if those imperial doctors knew it, they wouldn't tell me." Emperor Toba sighed as he had some confidence in Ximen Kei's "Yin Yang Theory".

"What's so difficult about that?" Ximen Qing chuckled: "There is an imperial doctor accompanying the imperial envoys."

As soon as Ximen Qing finished speaking, the miracle doctor An Daoquan walked into the living room and saluted Ximen Qing and Emperor Toba.

"This is the great doctor An of the Great Song Dynasty." Ximen Qing bragged about not paying taxes: "He treats all the illnesses of the officials."

It has to be said that An Daoquan has a good image and temperament, and he can convince people just by sticking to it.

"He is indeed a miracle doctor!"

Emperor Toba looked at him and praised him, then asked An Douquan to sit down and talk.

"Just ask the miracle doctor from the Song Dynasty to take a look at Miss Zhangzi's complexion." Ximen Qing gave Emperor Toba an idea, further shaking his heart: "When the time comes, Doctor An will only tell the truth to His Majesty. Only one person knows how.

?”

Emperor Toba's eyes flashed and he suddenly said: "Doctor An, how do you think I look?"

As soon as these words came out, Ximen Qing knew that Emperor Toba was already attracted, so he winked at An Daoquan and asked him to speak boldly.

Adozumi moved a stool to Emperor Toba in a serious manner. He first said "offense", then carefully looked at the young man's face, and asked him to stick out his tongue to see. Finally, he took turns to check the left and right pulses, and stroked his long hand.

Beard remained silent.

"Just say what the miracle doctor said," Emperor Toba urged as he drew back his arm.

An Daoquan coughed and said slowly: "Your Majesty's body and bones are still healthy, but there were some diseases in the womb, so he is a little thin. What's more, a big event happened when he was five years old, and your Majesty was seriously injured."

As Adozumi spoke, Emperor Toba, who was listening with a smile, lost his smile at some point, and a rare gloom appeared on his face.
