Chapter 17 Winter Story

It is now the winter of 1777, and it has been more than two months since William returned to Sanssouci Palace. During these two months, William has become familiar with every corner of Sanssouci Palace and got to know most of the attendants.

They all had a good impression of His Highness the Prince. William was polite, kind to others and never bullied his attendants.

William just came out from Old Hans today. Now he is in Sanssouci Palace. Old Hans is training William in fencing, archery, fighting, etc. The court etiquette and culture are only taught by Buell. As for when Frederick the Great handled government affairs

William was often called to make William familiar with and even understand the various administrations of the kingdom.

"Brother William, come quickly." At this time, several children gathered together in the garden of Sanssouci Palace. One of them waved to William on the side of the road and shouted.

When William saw that it was his sister Friedrich Christine Emilia Wilhelmina, he shouted:

"Christine, what are you doing?"

"Come quickly, Brother William, there is an injured rabbit here" Christine shouted loudly.

William trotted all the way and ran in front of them. Watching several children looking at the rabbit on the ground at a loss, Kristine seemed to have a backbone when she saw William coming over, pointing to the rabbit and saying to William:

"Brother, look at the rabbit's hind legs. It seems to be injured. We were playing just now and it suddenly jumped out. It scared me to death. Look at it quickly. Is it okay?" Christine complained.

William grabbed the rabbit's ears, and sure enough, there was a small cut on the rabbit's hind leg that was bleeding. He probably stepped on some trap. William put the rabbit down and said to Christine:

"It's nothing serious. Just put some medicine on its leg and tie it with a cloth. It will be fine soon." After saying that, he called an attendant and handed the rabbit to the attendant.

"Hehe, brother is still smart. Let me introduce him to you." Christine took William and said to the children present:

"This is my brother, His Royal Highness Prince William of Brandenburg." He then pulled William and pointed at the children and said:

“This is Karina Ludwig Rokes, granddaughter of Duke Rokes, and this is Sofia Christian Ludwig, daughter of Duke Friedrich II of Mecklenburg-Schwerin.

"This is Elisabeth Dorothea Friedrich, daughter of the Count of Hesse-Darmstadt and our sister."

Khan, it seems that this is a diplomatic event, with two princesses from an uncle's country, a duke's daughter and a princess from the kingdom. Is this simply a small China-European international conference? Thinking about it, William looked at those few

There are three children, the oldest of which is estimated to be Elisabeth Dorothea Friedrich, the daughter of the Count of Hesse-Darmstadt, who looks to be ten years old, and his sister Friedrich Charlotte.

About the same age as Ulrich Katarina.

And the younger ones like Karina Ludwig Rokes, the granddaughter of Duke Rokes, look as old as Christine. Well, seeing these three little girls, William once again proved that there are no ugly girls in the aristocracy.

A profound truth: dozens of generations of excellent genes ensure that these little girls will be beautiful beauties when they grow up, as long as there is no genetic mutation.

"Meet Your Highness," the three girls saluted William with a shy face.

"Don't be so polite, you are Kristine's friends and also my friends. If you need any help, just call me," William said generously.

Kristine's little eyes narrowed into slits when she heard William giving her such a face.

"Your Highness, I heard that you play the instrument very well. Can you let us enjoy it?" Karina asked William

"Of course, please follow me," William replied, and then walked to the concert hall of Sanssouci Palace.

"Everyone, please sit down. I'll play a song for you." When he arrived at the concert hall, William walked to the instrument stand and took out a violin, his hands jumping up and down like an elf.

In 1721, the famous musician Johann Sebastian Bach collected his six best concertos and dedicated them to Margrave Christian Ludwig of Brandenburg. These are the famous six "Berg" concertos.

"Landenberg Concerto", also known as the Brandenburg Concerto, shows colorful and original contrasts, gorgeous and superb polyphonic techniques, and active and majestic melody.

What William played was the second movement of the "Brandenburg Concerto". The second movement is a lyrical slow movement. There are contemplation, melancholy and poetic pastoral pictures here. Listening to this movement, you don't want to be alone.

What you get from music is just relax your body and mind and enjoy the music time that flows slowly.

Several children slowly became intoxicated by the sound of music. At the end of the song, Christine jumped up first and raised her little hands excitedly. The other three girls also woke up from the sound of music.

Elizabeth looked at William affectionately, her eyes seemed to be able to drown people. William secretly wiped away his sweat, but he didn't expect that the little Loli's eyes were so fierce.

"Your Highness, you play so well. I don't think any of my music teachers can compare to you," Sofia praised.

"Your Highness, can I ask you for music advice in the future?" Elizabeth asked excitedly.

William smiled back at them and said:

"Of course, it's not asking for advice, we are just friends learning from each other." Before William could finish his modest words, a maid came in and said to William:

"Your Majesty, your Majesty, please come over."

William agreed and said to several girls:

"Sorry, Your Majesty asked me to come over. Christine, you have to entertain your friends well, you know?" After that, she walked out.

Not to mention the chirping chatter of several girls after he left. William walked to the hall where Frederick the Great usually handled government affairs. In the hall, besides Frederick, there were several people who looked like nobles asking for instructions.

"William, come here. You guys will go down first. Just do as we just said." Frederick greeted William and asked the few people to go down. The few people bowed to Frederick and William and left.

Got out.

William walked in, and Frederick motioned to the maid to close the door and said:

"William, the Austrians have taken action. I heard that Elector Karl Theodor of Palatinate-Sulzbach sent an envoy to propose to the Austrians, hoping to cede Lower Bavaria to Austria, and Austria to give the Austrian Netherlands to Austria.

He offered compensation as compensation. The young Austrian Emperor Joseph II and his mother Maria Theresa agreed to this proposal. Maybe next year the Austrians will begin to hand over territories. We are running out of time. I

No part of Bavaria should be allowed to fall into Austrian hands."

Frederick frowned and sat on his chair, thinking deeply.
