Chapter 28 Catching mice

After Locks received Frederick's order, he caused a stir throughout Prussia. He said to his spies:

"Your Majesty will give me two weeks, and I will only give you one week. If you still can't find it within one week, and Your Majesty wants to take off my burden, I will take off your heads."

Under Rocks's strict orders, the entire Prussian spy system began an overwhelming search.

Seeing this situation, Lichtenau and Lane hid in the city hall house without leaving the house.

"Lichtnau, our situation is not good. Although we have prepared food in the house, we have run out of salt and other necessary items. If we don't go out to the streets to buy some, even the food will not be enough for the day after tomorrow."

Ryan smiled sadly at Lichtnau.

"Ryan, we must overcome the current difficulties. Once we go out, we will definitely be noticed by those all-pervasive spies. This is not a good thing. We'd better endure it a little longer." Lichtnau replied and asked:

"By the way, I asked you to contact the stronghold in the city. How is your contact going?"

"Forget it, some of those strongholds were taken away by the Prussians, and some were scared away by the recent actions of the Prussians. I couldn't find anyone," Ryan said worriedly, holding his forehead.

"Those damn cowards, they don't deserve to be born Prussians," Lichtnau said angrily.

"I think we should consider our situation. We have been hiding here for more than two months. We can't hide forever. It seems that the Prussians will not stop until they find us. It seems like Potsdam

The security is not very tight, but looking at the patrolling guards and some suspicious people on the street, those Prussians are worried outside and inside," Ryan replied

"How many days will we have enough food to last?" Lichtnau asked again.

"Three days at most, and the two of us only have to drink one rice porridge every day to survive."

"This won't work. We only drank rice porridge for three days. If we don't get caught, we won't have the strength to move. Once we are caught, we will be finished. Let's do this, Ryan, you put on your makeup and go out and buy a few things. We need

Keep at it. Be careful and don’t get caught.”

"Okay, I'll take the risk and go out for a while," Ryan agreed reluctantly.

That very night, Rocks’ subordinate, a man codenamed Hawkeye, reported to Rocks:

"Your Excellency, our people found a suspicious guy on the street."

"Oh, what's going on? Please explain in detail." Locks asked with a solemn expression.

"When our people were patrolling the streets in the afternoon, they saw a sneaky guy. The guy was very suspicious. He often looked around, and after buying some necessities on the street, he ran away in a panic.

"

"Be more detailed," Rocks said dissatisfied.

"The person looked like a man, but he was wearing a gray cloak. And we asked the merchants who were selling things. The man was very polite and well-educated. His height and body shape were similar to Lichtenau's.

The butler Ryan is similar. When I saw the guard, his waist was obviously shorter."

"Very good, then have your people seen where he returned?" Rocks asked eagerly.

"My people only saw him going to a street next to the city hall. When they caught up with him, they could no longer see anyone. However, I have arranged for people to keep an eye on him at the intersection near the city hall. As soon as he appeared,

, my people will find out”.

"Very good, you did a great job. Come with me to see His Majesty the King later and report everything you know to His Majesty. I will apply to His Majesty to search the area near the city hall. Now you go and prepare. I will meet you later

I'll go with you." Rocks stood up excitedly and said.

Night, inside Sanssouci Palace

"Your Majesty, I'm really sorry to bother you so late, but I have important clues to tell you." Rocks stood respectfully in front of Frederick with eagle eyes and said.

"What's the matter, tell me" Frederick nodded and said

"My men found a suspicious person in the afternoon, possibly Lichtenau's butler Ryan"

"Oh, is it really true? Tell me the specific situation." Frederick stared at Rocks with wide eyes. Rocks motioned Hawkeye to stand in front. Hawkeye told Philip what he had told Rocks in the afternoon.

Terry told it again.

"Your Majesty, this is the situation. I am applying to you for a tight seal around the city hall, and then sending people to inspect and search door to door." After Hawkeye finished speaking, Rocks said to Frederick

"I will satisfy your request, and I will write you a warrant later. Locks, you must remember that you must see the person alive, and the body must be seen dead." After Frederick said to Locks, he picked up the pen and wrote.

A warrant was handed to Rocks.

After Rocks received the warrant, he bowed respectfully, turned around and walked out with Hawkeye.

Potsdam is quiet and beautiful at night. The bright moonlight shines on the houses and streets, and the reflections and moonlight complement each other. The sound of the flowing river makes people feel peaceful.

But after a while, the sound of horse hooves was heard loudly, and the sound of horse hooves, running and the loud shouting of officers could be heard in various streets.

The people of Potsdam were disturbed from their sleep. The adults covered the children's mouths and slowly approached the windows to look. They saw that the streets were all filled with soldiers. The soldiers left a group of people at the intersection of each street.

Set up roadblocks.

Lichtenau was suddenly awakened by the noise outside the window, and Lane quickly ran into her bedroom. Lane said loudly:

"Lichtnau is not well. I see soldiers all over the street knocking on the door of every house. What should we do?"

"It doesn't matter, calm down. I think we must have exposed the truth. When someone knocks on the door, we won't pay attention to him. Now you take off your clothes and come to my bed," Lichtnau said calmly.

"Is this possible?" Ryan asked in a panic.

"It's a dead horse. Come up here. If the Prussians kick in the door, you can climb on me." Lichtnau said without any fluctuation in his expression.

Ryan gritted his teeth, took off his clothes and got under Lichtnau's quilt.

"Is anyone home? If you don't say anything, we'll kick the door open." After a while, a voice rang outside the door.

Lichtnau gritted her teeth and motioned for Lane to climb on top of her. Lane had no choice but to hold Lichtnau down, aiming her lower body into the hole, and started to move wildly, and Lichtenau began to moan loudly.

After waiting for the sound outside the door for a while, and seeing that there was still no one speaking, he kicked the door open with a bang. As soon as the door was kicked open, a woman's moans were heard, and several soldiers looked at each other with a very obscene smile.

When the soldiers walked outside the bedroom and opened the bedroom door, they saw two naked bodies stacked on top of each other on the bed. The soldiers said loudly:

"Stop, sir. Madam, I'm sorry for disturbing you, but we need to verify your identity. Please cooperate."

Lane climbed off Lichtnau. Lichtnau covered his face with the quilt, while Lane grabbed his clothes and said:

"Gentlemen, my wife and I were making out, and you barged in without knocking. I'm going to sue you."

"Sir, we have come to inspect on the order of His Majesty the King. Please cooperate and raise your face now," a leader among the soldiers said to Ryan.

Ryan raised his head and saw that his face was covered with red marks, which were obviously scratched by the woman's fingernails. Now he can't even see his original appearance clearly.

"Oh, poor sir, I think you are playing too hard."

"Sorry gentlemen, I made you laugh," Ryan said with a wry smile.

"It's okay, sir. I also have a tigress at home. Well, I sympathize with you and understand you very much." The soldier coughed a few times, nodded as if understanding, and said:

"Thank you for your understanding. Do you need any help?" Ryan asked

"We are just searching. Now we want to check your home. Please cooperate."

"No problem," Ryan said cooperatively.

"Report to captain, nothing wrong was found," a soldier outside the door reported.

The captain nodded, said sorry to Ryan and walked out of his house.
