As a secondary highway in Chongqiu, it is almost comparable to Provincial Highway 315. So once Shuangnan Road can be really repaired, I am afraid that many vehicles to Nantan and Huaishan will choose to go directly to Shuangfeng instead of Futou Fengzhou.

However, this Shuangnan Road is 54 kilometers long. According to the current cost, if it is to build a standard second-level road surface, it is impossible to build a standard second-level road surface. Even if it is only built on Shuangfeng sections, it will be a cost of about 10 million. This amount is undoubtedly an unbearable burden for Shuangfeng County. Moreover, if it is only built on Shuangfeng sections, then Shuangnan Road will not be able to achieve real full line connection, and the value to Nantan and Huaishan cannot be reflected, and the significance of this road is much smaller.

The situation of Qu Shuanglu is even more special.

If you look carefully at the map of Quyang area, you will find that the entire Quyang area is like a folding fan that is unfolded and upside down, while Quyang City is the end of the folding fan, and Qujiang County is the right wing of the folding fan.

From provincial highway 217 that passes through Wagu, you can lead to Qujiang County in Quyang area. The road that extends like the southwest from Kaiyuan can directly reach Jingong Town, the northernmost end of Quyang City. Meiling Township, the southernmost end of Kaiyuan District, is adjacent to Jingong Town. Meiling Township is only 9 kilometers away from Jingong Town, while Kaiyuan Town is only 14 kilometers away from Jingong Town. Jingong Town is only 9 kilometers away from Quyang city center.

In other words, the theoretical journey from Shuangfeng County to Kaiyuan, Meiling, Jingong to Quyang City is only 31 kilometers, which is even close to 4 kilometers from Shuangfeng to Fengzhou city. Quyang City is more than 40 kilometers away from any other nearest county under the jurisdiction of Quyang area. This means that Fengzhou is only 66 kilometers from Quyang, which is even close to 2 kilometers from Fengzhou to Liyang. This also makes Shuangfeng a theoretical shortcut to the throat from Liyang and Fengzhou to Quyang. Now, to go from Fengzhou to Quyang, you have to go to Shuangfeng, Wagu, through Qujiang to Quyang, or you have to go to Nantan, Guxian and then to Quyang, all of which are more than 100 kilometers.

But all of this can only be a theoretical existence. If it is barely a third-level road from Shuangfeng to Kaiyuan, and barely a quasi-level road from Kaiyuan to Meiling, then there is really no road from Meiling to Jingong, especially the Tourmaline Valley at the junction of Meiling Township and Jingong Town is a natural barrier.

In the 1970s, the Changjiang Provincial Revolutionary Committee also planned to build a road from Liyang to Fengzhou to Quyang, that is, along this route. However, after the architects saw the natural barrier of Tourmaxigou, the route fell into a deadlock. Because to cross the ups and downs of Tourmaxigou, a long bridge with extremely difficult difficulties had to be built in this valley. Not only was there very high technical requirements, but more importantly, the cost of the road will also greatly increase, especially during the Cultural Revolution, and this idea was decisively abandoned.

After the Cultural Revolution and after the reform and opening up, the economic development of Quyang area was very fast, while the Liyang area was not slow, but no one proposed to build the highway from Liyang to Quyang, and the road from Liyang to Quyang came to an abrupt end in the Liyang area.

Today, Gu Jinkang's doubts brought Gao Yuanshan many memories and touched him a lot. However, when it comes to Qushuanglu, Gao Yuanshan must consider more.
