The air in the ancient temple in the spring rain was very fresh, but the huge rocks that crushed the back temple into ruins gave it a sense of dilapidation, so the drizzle became melancholy.
Because of Sangsang's identity, Monk Guanhai did not dare to let the monks in the temple accompany him, so he walked with Ning Que and Ning Que in the rain. When they arrived at Tianyin Hall, a monk hurriedly came to report.
"The Xiling Temple cavalry has arrived in front of the town at the foot of the mountain."
The monk's face was a little pale. He had no idea what was going on. Why did the cavalry from the Xiling Temple suddenly appear in front of Lanke Temple? What on earth did Daomen want to do?
Monk Guanhai guessed that the cavalry in Xiling Temple was related to Ning Que and the two, but he misunderstood the cause and effect, and his expression became a little solemn and nervous.
Ning Que said: "Don't worry, they won't enter the temple."
Having said that, Monk Guanhai can really rest assured. Lanke Temple is besieged by cavalry. It is a precursor to the destruction of the temple and the death of the monk. The other party will definitely want to surrender.
"They are not here to catch fugitives."
Ning Que was a little embarrassed and said, "Just think of these cavalry as her bodyguards."
Only then did the sea-watching monk come to his senses and realized that this was what he was thinking.
Ning Que saw that he was still a little uneasy, so he asked him to go to the front temple to handle matters.
Monk Guanhai said: "The distinguished guest is coming from afar. As the abbot of the temple, of course I must accompany him."
Ning Que said: "Two couples are walking in the rain, with a big bald head standing next to them. What is this?"
Monk Guanhai said: "The back temple is dilapidated and it is difficult to walk around."
Ning Que said: "He started telling jokes again."
Monk Guanhai laughed, thinking that what he said was indeed unreasonable. There were no difficulties or obstacles in the world that could stop Ning Que, let alone Haotian by his side.
The big black umbrella looks like a black lotus flower, blooming in the light rain.
The big black horse didn't have an umbrella, so he was a little embarrassed by the rain, so he naturally felt resentful.
How could Ning Que care about its feelings? He took Sang Sang and walked freely in the temple with an umbrella.
That autumn, they had lived here for a long time and were familiar with everything in the ancient temple. Even though the mist and rain obscured their eyes, they would not go in the wrong direction.
Ning Que went to Tallinn first and stood quietly in front of the moss-covered tomb for a while, saying "Long time no see" to the dancer in the tomb who completely changed the pattern of the spiritual world.
Next, he walked through the rain corridor and went to the Zen room where he once lived to look at it. Then he went to the side hall and meditated on the statues of the stone venerables, and then walked to the dilapidated halls of the back temple.
The main hall of Lankeyhou Temple has completely collapsed long ago, moss has grown on the cliffs, and broken Buddha statues can occasionally be seen among the rocks, giving a sense of vicissitudes of life.
Standing in front of the dilapidated old temple, looking at the mountains full of boulders, Ning Que remained silent.
After entering Lanke Temple, Sangsang never spoke, whether in front of the tomb, in front of the hall, or in front of the tomb-like hall.
Lanke Temple changed the fate of Ke Haoran and Liansheng, and also changed the fate of Ning Que and Sang Sang.
In the autumn a few years ago, he took Sang Sang here to treat her illness and study Buddhism here. Sang Sang's life experience was revealed and she turned into the daughter of Pluto who everyone in the world wanted to kill.
They fled from here, passing through the Buddha's chessboard, fleeing to Hanging Temple, fleeing to Yuelun, and then fleeing to Donghuang, meeting the Master, going out to sea in a boat, and returning here again today.
In these years, too many things happened. Ning Que looked at the dilapidated palace and recalled what he did here at that time, and his emotions became very complicated.
The thousand-mile escape, life and death together, were actually all fake, just a game played by Haotian. This game deceived him, concealed it from the master, and defeated the world of mortals. She didn't even know it.
Standing in front of the Yuzhong Temple, Ning Que remembered the conversation with Master Qishan, subconsciously looked at Sangsang next to him, and said silently in his heart: God's will is indeed unpredictable.
Following the gap in the boulder, they left the apse, walked past the damaged temple wall of Lanke Temple, and came to the depths of Washan Mountain. They followed the mountain path they had walked, passed the chessboard under the tree, and crossed the stream.
bridge, looked at the trees in the rain, and came to the small Zen room on the mountainside.
The furnishings in the small courtyard are still the same, simple and clean, and the cotton mattress on the couch is still as soft. There are fan-shaped stone windows on the garden wall. Standing in front of the window, you can see the scenery of Washan Mountain in the mist.
At that time, Sangsang was seriously ill and was about to die. She lingered and coughed on the bed. She said many things to him and gave him many last words. He stood in silence in front of the stone window for a long time.
He stood in front of the stone window, as if yesterday happened again.
Sangsang walked to his side and coughed twice.
Ning Que turned to look at her and said, "Would you like to scald your feet with hot water?"
Sangsang remained silent.
It's not that the love back then brings confusion today, it's that she is really sick.
This disease is called weakness.
Coming to the human world, from the moment she woke up among the broken peaks, she kept getting weaker, her body became heavier and heavier, and her divine power became less and less.
This is a human world full of earthly meanings, not an objective and cold kingdom of God. The longer she stays in the human world, the weaker she will become.
She is still very strong now, more powerful than all the practitioners in the world put together, but compared with her in the Kingdom of God, she has become much weaker. Because of her weakness, she has become empathetic.
Leave the courtyard and come to the top of Washan Mountain.
The once towering stone statue of Buddha now only has a small fragment of its body left. You can vaguely see the traces of the flowing clouds on the cassock. Most of it has been chopped into solid rocks by Jun Mo's sword.
Sangsang put his hands behind his back and looked at the sky quietly.
There used to be the compassionate and calm face of the Buddha there, but now there is nothing but rain.
But she still looked there quietly, as if looking at the Buddha's face, not knowing what she was thinking.
Ning Que was a little uneasy and asked, "What are you looking at?"
Sangsang looked at the empty face of Buddha in the rainy sky and said, "I have seen him."
Ning Que thought to himself, Buddha is one of the most powerful people in countless reincarnations. Since you are Haotian, you will naturally have a relatively deep impression on him, just like you once met your teacher.
Sangsang knew what he was thinking and said, "No, I have seen him."
Ning Que was a little puzzled and said, "Of course you have seen the Buddha when he was alive."
Sangsang said: "No, when the Buddha was alive, he never dared to let me see him."
Ning Que frowned slightly and asked, "Then when did you see him?"
Sangsang said: "At that moment before."
Ning Que was silent for a long time and said, "When you saw this broken Buddha statue?"
Sangsang said: "I saw him before I looked up at him."
Ning Que didn't understand the meaning of this sentence, but he vaguely inferred a shocking fact from this sentence: "You mean...Buddha didn't really reach Nirvana? He is still alive?"
Sangsang said: "He is dead, but he is still alive."
Ning Que felt that these words were too profound.
Sangsang withdrew her gaze, looked at him and said, "In other words, he was alive and dead at the same time."
Ning Que looked at the incomplete stone statue of Buddha, looking at the place where there was nothing in the rainy sky.
The big black umbrella tilted back because of his movements, and the raindrops fell on his face, which was slightly wet and cool. He seemed to see the Buddha smiling in the rain, his compassionate face full of tears.
He said: "I still don't understand."
Sangsang walked towards the back of the rosette of the Buddha statue and said, "It's the cat you mentioned."
Ning Que remembered that many years ago in Minshan, there was a night when she was too bored and she refused to sleep, so he told her a very scary story.
The protagonist of that story is a cat named Xue.
To him, the idea of a living and dead cat was just a bit confusing, but to a little girl over three years old, she couldn't understand it and naturally found it scary.
Ning Que looked at the non-existent Buddha statue in the rainy sky and suddenly became afraid.
…
…
The spring rain unexpectedly became heavier, and water accumulated on the mountain path, making it slippery and difficult to walk. Ning Que took Sang Sang into the cave in the back mountain to rest temporarily.
"This rain came at just the right time."
Ning Que put away the big black umbrella, sat on the futon next to the stone table, looked at the mountain vines above his head that were being beaten by the rain, and said, "I originally planned to take you here to have a look."
Donglu is the residence of Master Qishan. He and Sangsang once played a game of chess here, using the Buddha's chessboard. A sunspot fell, and there were countless calamities in the game.
"What exactly do you want to do by bringing me to Lanke Temple?" Sangsang asked.
Ning Que said: "I want to show you this old temple and understand some of your concerns."
Sangsang sat down at the table and said, "Continue."
Ning Que said: "On the shores of the South China Sea, you had some emotions. That made me very nervous, because I can't imagine how to deal with this situation if you are disappointed or even angry with the entire human race."
Sangsang said: "When humans need me, they worship me like a god. When they don't need me, they abandon me like grass. If you were in my position, what kind of emotional reaction would you have?"
"I don't know, because I am not Haotian after all. I have not endured countless millions of years of incense in the world, so naturally I cannot understand the anger of being betrayed."
Ning Que said: "What I want to tell you is that human beings are not as cold and heartless as you think. You still have countless devout believers in the world."
Sangsang said: "That's because trusting me is good for those humans."
Ning Que said: "Not all human beings only act from the perspective of profit. We are also affected by many other things. We are not inherently evil. In fact, we still retain a goodwill toward ourselves and the world we live in. I
I brought you to Lanke Temple because I wanted you to see that kindness."
Sangsang said: "What kind of kindness do you want me to see?"
Ning Que said: "Master Qishan is the simplest and cleanest kindness of mankind."
Master Qishan is the most virtuous and respected figure in the Buddhist sect. He spent his whole life cultivating himself to gain the health of the people in the raging floods. He once took in the lotus plants and wanted to cure the mulberry trees.
In terms of virtue, the master is the most impeccable person. To Ning Que and Sang Sang back then, he was a loving teacher, whether it was Buddhism or other aspects.
Sang Sang acknowledged Ning Que's view, but she disagreed with Ning Que's statement.
"Qi Shan is kind by nature, but his starting point for good intentions is still the interests of mankind. This is true whether he wants to take in Lotus or want to use the Buddha chessboard to help the daughter of Pluto escape the world."
Ning Que said: "Isn't this a great kindness?"
Sangsang looked at the peak quietly and said: "Buddha wanted to save all living beings, and all Buddhist disciples work hard to practice the same. But I am not among all living beings, how can the Buddha's Dharma save me?"

(This is a good story. Again, although my writing may not be very good, in my mind, the night should be past eighty now, and the next chapter will be later, probably around midnight.) (To be continued. .Please search Piaotian Literature, the novels will be better and updated faster!)
