Chapter 45: My Little Monster Is Awesome

After letting the little beast go, Yan Yan climbed onto the bed and prepared to practice with his legs crossed.

As soon as he got into position, his stomach growled with dissatisfaction.

Only then did she remember that the steamed buns had been eaten by the little beasts, and she hadn't eaten anything yet.

Yan Yan cannot go hungry. She feels insecure when she is hungry, and she cannot concentrate on her cultivation.

After getting out of bed, Yan Yan rummaged through the cupboard in the corner of the room, but found nothing to eat.

Mu Juaner used to put some homemade snacks such as rice candy cakes here for her as a midnight snack.

She had just woken up not long ago, and Mu Juaner hadn't had time to prepare yet.

Do you want to go to the apprentice's house next door to find some food?

Yan Yan looked out the window at the midnight night, hesitant.

While he was hesitating, he suddenly felt a numb and itchy feeling on his ankle.

Yan Yan lowered her head and saw that the little beast had turned back again and was scratching her instep with its furry paws.

"I'm still hungry. There's nothing else to eat in this room." Yan Yan angrily used her foot to block its little paws.

He just finished eating the steamed buns and came back right away. Is this because she is so easy to talk to, and she is kicking her nose in the face?

This little thing is also stubborn. There are so many families in the neighborhood, but they only come to her. Even if they are gathering wool, they can't catch any of them.

"Tonba~" The little beast raised his chubby face and called softly towards her.

He stretched out his little paws and pulled a snow-white object next to him to Yan Yan's feet, then raised his head and shouted at her.

Yan Yan glanced at the thing it pulled over. It was the steamed bun that it had just taken away.

The steamed bun is still untouched, but there are two neat rows of small tooth marks on the edge of the steamed bun.

This was when she heard her say she was hungry and returned the steamed buns.

In addition to being smart and understanding human language, this little guy is also a little beast with only moral principles!

Yanyan's heart felt soft and warm.

Leaning over and touching its furry top hair, Yanyan unconsciously softened her tone: "You've bitten this bun, so I can't eat it. You can keep it and eat it. I'll make something else to eat."

The little beast blinked its big blue eyes, turned around, and disappeared again.

Yan Yan glanced at the steamed buns left on the ground and smiled.

Leaving the buns where they were, she got up and went to the backyard kitchen.

Bi Cheng and his wife have been taking care of her here for the past few days, and they are probably firing up the fire in her kitchen, and there may be unused ingredients.

Yan Yan went into the kitchen and searched around. Except for a handful of wolfberry buds and two Wengan fruits, there was nothing else.

Yan Yan was holding two lettuce fruits in her hands, wondering how to make preserved fruits with these ingredients...

"Tonba!"

Suddenly there was a cry in the air.

In the middle of the night, Yan Yan was covered in goosebumps.

He turned back and glared at Tonba: "You have to show up before you speak out from now on. Don't scare people like this!"

Fortunately, she didn't have a heart disease, otherwise she would have been reincarnated due to her voice just now.

The little beast blinked its big eyes, nodded its furry round head obediently twice, took two steps forward, opened its mouth and grabbed the corner of Yanyan's skirt, arched its body and pulled her out of the door.

"I haven't eaten yet, what are you doing in the middle of the night?"

Yan Yan pulled on her skirt, trying to pull it back from Ton Ba's mouth.

The little guy occupied his mouth and couldn't make a sound, but stubbornly dragged her out.

The little temper is quite stubborn.

Yanyan was amused and a little curious, so she let him pull her out of the kitchen.

Standing at the door of the kitchen, Yan Yan looked up and was shocked!

A large black mass lay on the ground in the yard, and there was a strong smell of blood.

The little beast let go of Yan Yan's skirt, walked over and sat next to the pile of things, and said to Yan Yan: "Tonba, tonsba, tonsba~"

It's like offering a treasure as a gift.

Yan Yan walked up to the pile and took a closer look. It turned out to be a roe deer owl cub.

This thing has the body of a sheep and the face of a leopard, with four eyes on its forehead and back. It is extremely vicious and cunning.

Living in deep mountains, they are more likely to appear on remote mountain roads. They often hide their faces and pretend to be wild sheep, tricking inexperienced hunters into approaching, waiting for opportunities to eat people, and often sneak attacks on lone travelers.

The roe deer owl cub on the ground was obviously dead.

Although this one is still young, it is as big as a foal, more than two or three times bigger than Tonba.

Yan Yan looked at him in surprise: "Did...you get this thing?"

"Tonba!" the little beast yelled, blinking at Yan Yan with watery round eyes.

The little guy seemed to be afraid that she wouldn't like it, so he carefully pushed the animal corpse towards Yan Yan with his little paws, in an honest and painful manner.

Yan Yan didn't believe it, so he turned over the beast and looked carefully.

There were no wounds on this roe owl's body, not even signs of struggle. It was obvious that it died defenseless.

The only fatal injury was a tiny bloody hole in his throat.

Yanyan looked carefully and saw that the blood hole was so small that it was almost invisible if the fur was not opened, and there was still a circle of fine and small fresh animal teeth remaining around it.

The tooth marks are almost exactly the same as those left by Tonba on the steamed buns.

Yanyan picked off a bunch of newly knotted cockleburs hanging on the animal's hair.

A beast raised in a city would not have something like this hanging on its body that grows in the wild.

There are many signs that this roe owl was indeed captured from the wild.

In the blink of an eye...

Yan Yan lowered his head to look at the little beast, rubbed its head, and sincerely praised: "That's amazing, my little darling!"

"Tonba!" The little beast understood that he was praising it and shouted happily, swinging its big tail behind it and flying up.

Yan Yan was also very excited to get such a large piece of good food. He went back to the kitchen and took out a kitchen knife, and he used it as neatly as a chef cutting a cow.

"This guy has a sinister temperament, but his meat is very delicious. The meat of this little one must be very tender. It's a pity that we don't have a copper hot pot, but I can still give you a delicious meal!" As he spoke, several pieces of good meat were served.

Already kicked off the beast.

Yan Yan carried the meat into the kitchen, and Tong Ba followed suit with her big tail raised.

After the ingredients were processed, the oil in the pot was sizzling and bubbling, and the sound of hurried footsteps could be heard in the yard.

In an instant, a tall figure appeared at the kitchen door.

The person who came was none other than Bi Cheng.

"Master? Are you okay?"

Bi Cheng ran up to Yan Yan in two steps and looked her up and down, with unconcealed anxiety and worry on his face.

Yan Yan also stared at Bi Cheng who suddenly arrived, and then turned to look to the side.

Tonba sat on the stove obediently with his little paws together.

Two big round moon-blue eyes followed her gaze back and forth.

Seeing her looking over, he immediately called her obediently: "Tonba?"

Then Yan Yan looked at Bi Cheng again.

Bi Cheng can see her in his eyes...

The little beast is not invisible now.

But Bi Cheng couldn't see it!

"Master, are you okay?" Seeing that Yan Yan didn't speak, Bi Cheng asked again worriedly.

"Ah? Oh...it's okay." Yan Yan was holding a large plate of freshly cut thin slices of meat in her hand, and she was stunned.

Bi Cheng felt something was wrong with Yan Yan. He glanced at the fresh animal meat in her hand and asked cautiously: "Master? Did something happen to you?"

"No." Yan Yan's surprise was over now. Seeing the oil in the pot starting to smoke, she raised her hand and poured a whole plate of meat slices into it.

Sizzling...as the meat slices are fried, the whole kitchen is instantly filled with the aroma of meat.
