Chapter 2 Basic Training (1)

Lying in the neat recruits' dormitory at night, Gao He tossed and turned and couldn't sleep. Although the large amount of exercise during the day made his body exhausted, the strange images that often flashed through his mind were always annoying, and he had no intention of sleeping.

I went through the things in my mind over and over again as if I were watching a movie, and I barely fell asleep until late at night.

"Beep!" The sharp sound of the trumpet rudely woke up Gao He who had just fallen asleep. He opened his sleepy panda eyes and reluctantly dressed slowly. Gao He had not yet developed the habits of normal life.

With the vigorous and resolute style in the military camp, Gao He would have wanted to stay in bed for a while if everyone else hadn't been getting up.

But fortunately, he was not the last one to come out. The queue was already being sorted over there, so he hurried over. When the furious Hack instructor saw him lazily, he didn’t know what he would be punished for.

Gao He is relatively tall and always stands on the side. There are only two people on the left who look a little taller than Gao He. But in terms of size, no one in the team can be Gao He's opponent.

Standing tall and straight in the team, Instructor Huck looked from the left to the right of the team with a sullen face. The atmosphere was quite depressing. Looking at Instructor Huck's face, you could tell that this team had made another mistake.

Sure enough, the increasingly uglier instructor Hack finally began to explode: "Are you gathering in the morning, or are you going on a leisure trip? Why isn't your belt fastened?"

After taking two steps, he started to scold again: "Where is your hat? Why didn't you forget your head in the dormitory?"

"Don't you know how to tie your shoes? Or do you want me to tie them for you?"

Standing in front of Gao He and taking a closer look at his eye-catching panda eyes, instructor Huck had a smile in his eyes, but it quickly disappeared: "What's wrong with your eyes?"

"Tell the instructor, I can't sleep due to the change of environment!" Gao He consciously stood up and reported.

"Do you think the amount of training is not enough? Hmm!" Instructor Huck's eyes were as wide as a cow's eyes. Gao He did not dare to look at Instructor Huck and closed his eyes, but he still answered loudly: "

No, instructor!"

"Don't your clothes have right and wrong sides?" Instructor Huck's voice deviated a little, and Gao He opened his eyes. Instructor Huck had left him and found trouble for others. He let out a long sigh, and beads of sweat formed on his head.

Only then did it appear.

"It seems that none of what I told you can be fully implemented. In order to make it easier for you to remember, I will run around the playground three times before breakfast today. You will not be allowed to eat until you finish running!" The first gathering started early in the morning with Huck.

The instructor concluded with an angry summary.

In their hearts, they were cursing Instructor Huck that he would die a good death, but no one dared to speak. He had long heard that training for new recruits would be very hard, and the instructors would find trouble and impose various kinds of corporal punishment, so everyone was mentally prepared.

A team of more than forty people began running circles around the playground.

Things in Gao He's mind seemed to start churning again. Strangely, Gao He found that as long as he ran, he would think of many strange things. These things seemed to seep out of Gao He's mind bit by bit, and there was always no continuity.

memories, but they always bring terrible thoughts to Gao He.

Charming vines, tall tree trunks, weak grass, ferocious hunters, gentle lambs, cunning foxes, flying mosquitoes and flies, all kinds of different memories rushed into his mind. Gao He could not believe that he was being captured.

Even though I was hypnotized, I still experienced this.

However, some of them are still very interesting, and they are something that a modern person who has lived in a closed city since childhood cannot understand and experience. The freshness and excitement in them also opened up this guy who has never seen the "world" at all.

Vision.

As they were immersed in a world they had never seen or imagined before, there was a panic among the team. It was forbidden to make any noise while running, but it was extremely chaotic at this time.

"Finally finished running, I'm exhausted!"

"I can't stand it anymore, I will be punished like this the next day!"

"If I had known this, I wouldn't have signed up!"

"Yesterday, that guy ran ten laps, and everything seemed fine when he came down. What a monster!"

Gao He heard the last words. Although we had only been together for one day and probably couldn't call everyone by name, he was still very unhappy to be treated as a monster. He looked coldly in the direction where he was speaking. It seemed that only

Two guys with the same yellow skin but already panting from exhaustion.

Following his gaze, the discussion over there also dropped. It's strange how these people can be so miserable. They have only run three laps and are so exhausted. However, I have never run like this before. Could it be that I

Are you a natural runner?

Breakfast lasted only thirty seconds when everyone was extremely tired. In other words, instructor Hack only gave them thirty seconds to stuff breakfast into their stomachs, and then, with a command, most of the meal ended

The movements of modern urban children who are still chewing slowly.

The team that gathered again was obviously not as energetic as in the morning. The recruits, who had been defecated once on an empty stomach, all looked listless. This time, instructor Hack asked them to return to the dormitory, sort out their clothes, and assemble again.

It seems that the punishment in the morning was very effective and very memorable. This time, in the team of more than 40 people, no one wore the wrong clothes or left anything behind that shouldn't be lost.

The neat team appeared on the playground again, and the cold instructor Hack stood on the opposite side and began to lecture.

"I know you are thinking, we are here to be battleship landing infantry and space warriors, why do we need to conduct these unnecessary trainings. Let me tell you, don't think that we have entered the interstellar age and everything can be done with battleships and space warriors.

The small fire support ship will handle it for you."

This is what most people are confused about. They haven't dared to ask yet. Instructor Huck has already said it. There is obviously a reason. However, these are not a problem for Gao He. Yesterday's lesson made

He knew that in the army, it was true that new recruits had to shed their skin when they came in.

It is said that infantry is the hardest branch, so the training is the most rigorous. This is what Gao He heard from his neighbor uncle who had been in the army before he joined the army. The most comfortable ones are intelligence analysts. However, they also have to work for a while.

He trained his body desperately to adapt to the acceleration of frequent takeoffs and landings of star battleships.

Of course, this thing pales in comparison to the army's ordinary training. Although the Air Force and Space Force are places with more stringent physical requirements, the real landing operations on planets still rely on these battleships to land infantry. In

On a strange and desolate planet, if you want to completely occupy it, just a few battleships are not enough. Unless you don't want this planet, use the ultimate weapon on the battleship to fight against it.

Many times, this kind of occupation of planets is accomplished by infantry. Gao He already knew this before joining the army. However, he did not have a strong backstage and connections, and could not gain access to the most comfortable information of the entire army.

Secondly, the Space Force and the Air Force select people with extremely good physical condition from the infantry. Even if you want to be the driver of those high-end battleships, you must first pass basic infantry training.

As for the Navy, it has now been integrated with the Space Force. Unless there is a separate mission that needs to be performed in the ocean, regular ships will be dispatched. Most of the time, even the Navy uses small transport ships flying around.

Completed. Usually at this time, the Air Force is responsible for escorting.

The difference between the Air Force and the Space Force is that one is usually active within the atmosphere of the planet, and the other is active in space. From a safety perspective, the Space Force is more dangerous. Moreover, every time you go out for service, you must at least go through

It takes half a year to set foot on real land. The rest of the time is spent in the artificial gravity environment of the space battleship.

Relatively speaking, although the infantry is hard work, after all, they are still "down to earth" most of the time. Compared with those space troops who often do not touch the ground, they are still much happier.

Although Instructor Harker kept roaring and explaining loudly, Gao He, who already knew something, was simply wandering in the sky. He was truly wandering in the sky, because the scene of himself flying high in the air, overlooking the entire earth flashed in his mind.
