Chapter 22 Gap

Tong Jiangxin looked at Lu Chengxi's thin lips that opened and closed, and wondered how he could say such words so easily.

But Lu Chengxi's face was pale, as if he didn't care.

Tong Jiangxin half-supported her upper body, and Lu Chengxi sat beside the bed, blocking her way out of bed. The two were in a stalemate for a while, and finally Tong Jiangxin's cough broke the silence.

Lu Chengxi stretched out his hand to hold Tong Jiangxin's shoulder, trying to get her to lie down, but Tong Jiangxin pushed Lu Chengxi's arm away in disgust.

Lu Chengxi pursed his thin lips and said nothing.

Tong Jiangxin was also physically weak. Even if Lu Chengxi let her go, she would probably collapse before she left the Lu family.

Lying on the bed, Tong Jiangxin said, "Lu Chengxi, let's just talk about it today. What's on your mind most?"

Lu Chengxi sat beside the bed. He looked at Tong Jiangxin and replied calmly, "I don't want you to die because of your illness. Even if you die, you should die in my hands."

Tong Jiangxin's breathing was stagnant, as if someone had pinched her throat.

Lu Chengxi looked away, stood up, and said, "I'll ask the doctor to come in and give you an injection. When you feel better, you can leave."

Tong Jiangxin watched Lu Chengxi walk out of the door step by step without any hesitation. She gritted her teeth and forced back her tears.

Not long after, the male doctor who had just gone out came in again. Tong Jiangxin didn't want to talk, nor did she want to face the Lu family. She simply closed her eyes and turned her head inside.

I heard the doctor open the medicine box, and then I felt a cold feeling on the back of my hand, which was the feeling of rubbing disinfectant. Then, I felt a slight sting and the infusion needle was inserted again.

The room was very quiet, but Tong Jiangxin knew that the doctor had not left. She didn't know what he was still doing here, but she couldn't open her eyes, so she could only maintain the same status quo.

I don't know how long it took, but Tong Jiangxin heard the doctor say, "Miss Tong, why are you doing this? You are hurting others and yourself."

Tong Jiangxin was silent, but her neck moved slightly, as if she was choking.

The doctor was silent for a long time and then said, "Actually, Mr. Lu is not the kind of person you think. You are sick and lying in bed. He has not closed his eyes all day and night. You..."

"Did Lu Chengxi ask you to say these words?"

Tong Jiang opened his eyes happily, but did not look at the doctor, his voice was cold.

The doctor paused briefly and then replied, "No."

Tong Jiang said happily, "Then he told you about what happened between us?"

The doctor replied, "No."

Tong Jiangxin slowly turned her head to look at the man standing beside the bed. He was wearing casual casual clothes. He couldn't tell that he was a doctor, but he just felt a little bookish.

She knew that she didn't need to inflict her hatred for Lu Chengxi on an innocent person, but she still couldn't help but said, "You don't know what happened between us at all, and you don't understand how he treated me in the past.

I don’t even know who gave me the gift of lying here now. Why do you speak for him? Why do you say that he is not the kind of person I imagined? And do you know what I imagined Lu Chengxi to be like?

You don’t know anything, and in what capacity do you come to say such things to me?!”

Tong Jiangxin saw the man's face gradually turning pale, and she felt regretful in her heart. But the words she said were like spilled water, which was difficult to recover. The only reason to blame was that he was Lu Chengxi's personal doctor.

The door of the room was pushed open from the outside. Lu Chengxi stood at the door, looking at Tong Jiangxin lying on the bed and the man standing beside the bed. He said with a calm face, "You go out first."

The man picked up the medicine box on the bedside table, turned around and walked out. Lu Chengxi closed the door, but did not move forward. He just looked at Tong Jiangxin and said, "If you are angry in your heart, you can take it out on me. It has nothing to do with anyone else."

”.

Tong Jiangxin said with a cold face, "You also know not to anger innocent people? Mr. Lu, when did you do this to me like you said you would?!"

Lu Chengxi lowered his face when he heard this, and his eyes were cold.

Tong Jiangxin sneered, averted his eyes, and stopped looking at Lu Chengxi.

Lu Chengxi stood in the room for a while and then turned around and left. He did not come back until night. A servant from the Lu family came into the room and pulled out the needle for her. Tong Jiangxin said, "Where is my mobile phone?"

The servant stood beside the bed and replied, "Miss Tong, I don't know."

Tong Jiangxin frowned slightly and replied, "Bring me my phone...or I'll leave now."

The servant had a look of embarrassment on his face, but Tong Jiangxin had already turned around, making it clear that he didn't want to talk anymore.

The servant exited the room. Not long after, the door was pushed open again and the servant came in with Tong Jiangxin's cell phone.

"Ms. Tong, my cell phone is here for you."

Tong Jiangxin remained silent, and the servant turned around and left the room.

When Tong Jiangxin was the only one left, she turned around and picked up the mobile phone on the table. She didn't know who had turned off the mobile phone. She opened it and saw several missed calls and text messages.

There are those from Li Mingyang, those from McGallo, and those at home.

Tong Jiangxin was a little worried. She drank too much and went back alone last night. She thought they must be worried.

After dialing Li Mingyang's number, there were several even beeps from the phone, and then someone picked up the phone.

"Jiang Xin".

"Mingyang, you called me and I just saw it. I'm sorry."

Tong Jiangxin said aloud.

Li Mingyang said, "Are you okay? Why are you turning on your phone now?"

Tong Jiangxin said, "I'm fine. I overslept. I just realized that I turned off my phone. Don't worry."

Li Mingyang paused for a moment, and then said, "Are you still at Evergrande now? If you feel uncomfortable, please take a leave and go home to rest."

Tong Jiangxin said, "I didn't go to work today. I'm resting at home. Don't worry."

Li Mingyang hummed after a long while, and then said, "Okay, you have a good rest."

Tong Jiangxin answered and then hung up the phone.

Looking at McGarlo's missed call, she thought for a moment and sent a text message saying she was fine, then dialed her home phone number.

"Hello, miss".

Uncle Cheng's voice came from the mobile phone, which made Tong Jiangxin feel warm. She said, "Uncle Cheng, I didn't go home because I had something to do last night. My phone ran out of battery, so I didn't call you. Are you worried?"

?”

Uncle Cheng replied, "Miss, I'm really worried, but Mr. Li came here earlier and left when he saw you weren't at home. He called me just now and said you were fine and told me not to worry.

”.

Li Mingyang went to the Tong family villa? Tong Jiangxin's heart skipped a beat, and she couldn't explain what she felt.
