Chapter 523 The Battle of Molensk-Brest

Brest, Litovsk.

The Soviet-Russian army commanded by Tukhachevsky launched a large-scale attack on the Chinese-Bo coalition forces on July 3!

Historically known as the "Battle of Molensk-Brest".

Regarding this battle, it is mentioned in most books that Tukhachevsky took the initiative to attack, including a large number of books, war histories, and biographies from China. The same statement was made, but in fact, the battle was launched.

The first shot was taken by Rao Guohua's 2nd Division of the First Corps of the National Revolutionary Army.

The 2nd Division, which completed the probing attack mission in Lechinkost, quickly withdrew to its inherent defense line and devoted itself to the blocking mission.

〖中〗The Chinese planes flew into the sky with all their strength, and fought nine times with the Soviet Red Army Air Force in two days. While the competition was going on on the ground, the brutal fighting was also going on in the sky.

The cannons fired at that pair, and the position was shaken by the sound of the cannons.

Since the invention and large-scale use of thermal weapons, war has become the most terrifying thing.

A war often means thousands, tens of thousands, or hundreds of thousands of casualties!

Tukhachevsky, the frontline commander who had high hopes from Trotsky and Lenin, had his first confrontation with the Chinese.

At first, he did not take the [Chinese] Chinese people too seriously. According to intelligence, the [Chinese] Chinese people could only deploy more than 20,000 troops on the front-line battlefield. They could barely launch an attack in Rechinkost in advance.

Very good. Once the Red Army launches a general offensive across the entire front, it will only be a matter of time before the Chinese and Polish people are defeated.

But Tukhachevsky soon discovered that he was wrong.

Although the Chinese people are at a numerical disadvantage, their weapons are not inferior to the Red Army in any way, and even in terms of quality, they far exceed their enemies.

Cannons, machine guns, submachine guns, all of these constitute the superior firepower of the squadron!

The density of machine guns in their army is shocking. The Piaotian Literature Network tightly blocks every path forward.

Every time the Red Army takes a step forward, it must pay an extremely heavy price!

In two days, the Red Army did not make any breakthroughs except occupying some scattered positions.

Not only the performance of the Chinese and Polish troops was also outstanding.

They know the importance of the "Battle of Molensk-Brest", and they also know that once they lose this battle, Poland, including their capital Warsaw, will be under the most direct threat!

Like the Chinese people, they defended their positions fiercely and refused to lose an inch of land.

〖中〗 Chinese planes also flew into the sky from time to time, throwing bombs at the attacking Red Army. The bombs ignited sky-high flames and filled the sky with gunpowder smoke, completely miming the attacking Red Army.

The morale and confidence of the Polish army in the First World War were also greatly restored during these two days of fighting. They found that the Red Army was not as scary as they imagined.

Originally, in Tukhachevsky's overall plan, the attack launched on July 3 had occupied all the enemy's front-line positions by July 5, and a general offensive should have been launched on the 6th.

But the course of the war was completely different from what he imagined!

When the 6th came, the Red Army was still struggling.

Trotsky, Lenin, and Stalin sent telegrams one after another asking about the situation on the front line. Tukhachevsky did not tell them all the truth. In his reply, he only said, "The brave Red Army soldiers are carrying out a determined and brave battle."

Attack, victory will surely belong to the great Soviet!"

Under the urging of the current leaders, Tukhachevsky seemed a little anxious.

On the 6th, Tukhachevsky was forced to mobilize the 16th Army as a support force in advance.

The sudden increase in enemies did not put too much pressure on Liu Zhaocheng, the commander of the Chinese First Army. He just told his staff: "The Russians are starting to panic!"

A simple sentence.

Liu Zhaocheng did not add a single soldier to the front line nor asked the second reinforcements to rush to the battlefield quickly. In his opinion, the 20,000 people he had in hand were enough under the current situation.

War is no longer the era where whoever has more people can win.

And an excellent commander is enough to withstand tens of thousands of troops!

At the forefront of the battlefield was the 2nd Division commanded by Rao Guohua. In the past few days, even he himself had forgotten how many Russian attacks he had repelled.

He was full of curiosity about the Red Army who always shouted "Ula" when attacking.

From the first confrontation with the Russians to the present, Rao Guohua discovered that the Russians, or to be more precise, the Soviet Red Army likes to organize large army operations, and the spiritual motivation is far stronger than the tactical application.

This is the first time that he and his troops have faced such a test.

In the Northern Expedition, there were not many serious tests that he and his troops faced, and some of the "big battles" were far from fierce. But on the Russian battlefield, the troops were truly tested.

Some of the new recruits who joined the army were initially a little afraid of the enemies who shouted "Ula!", but as the war progressed and the Soviet Red Army suffered a large number of casualties, they began to gradually let go of their fear and fear.

The "Ula"s are also subject to death, and they suffer casualties in droves. The number of their killed in battle far exceeds that of the Chinese Army.

However, such a country must not allow them to develop. Rao Guohua thought in his heart.

Once the Bolsheviks unify the entire Russia and defeat the Bolsheviks, they will be an extremely significant threat to China.

By this time, Rao Guohua also began to understand why the president must firmly enter Russia to fight!

The enemy's new attack has begun!

Judging from the densely packed enemies on the opposite side, the Soviet Red Army has invested at least two divisions or more. This is also an old habit of the Russians, hoping to overwhelm the enemy in numbers and momentum from the beginning of the attack!

The veterans and recruits of the 2nd Division all showed their calmness. When the Russians launched the attack, they did not panic and fire randomly. Instead, they waited patiently until the enemy entered the shooting range, and used light and heavy firepower.

Then they roared together.

The overwhelming fire net weaved into a death trap, causing enemies to jump helplessly one after another.

The earth groaned there, and the mountains and rivers howled there. Brest was destined to become a place that Tukhachevsky and his soldiers would never forget in their lifetime.

Those terrible machine guns, those terrible rifles, those terrible submachine guns, those terrible grenades, those terrible airplanes, those terrible cannons,

And those terrible [Chinese] people!

Ten or twenty attacks, no matter how many times they were launched, were in vain. The Red Army returned without success again and again, leaving only corpses on the ground.

The purpose of the [Chinese] people seemed to be just to defend this place. When the Russians began to retreat, they did not jump out of their positions to pursue them, but calmly watched the Russians' retreat.

This kind of calm is very scary.

On the 7th, when the offensive continued to be unfavorable, Tukhachevsky began to change his strategy. He transferred back part of the troops that attacked the Bolan position and devoted them to the Brest battlefield.

The two fronts attacked simultaneously, which turned into one line of containment and one line of main attack.

The main target of attack is the Chinese people!

After making this decision, Tukhachevsky didn't know whether he had done the right thing or the wrong thing. In his vision, the Chinese army must be stronger both in terms of armed equipment and combat quality.

As long as you can defeat the Chinese people after passing through the Bolan people, then attack the Bolan people again, and the battle can proceed in the direction of victory.

But all this is based on one premise: the opposing Chinese team must be defeated as soon as possible!

Can Tukhachevsky do this?

Liu Zhaocheng soon discovered the changes in Russian tactics, but this terrifyingly calm young commander of China did not make any adjustments to the battlefield.

"Although the Russians have increased their troops, they have not made any improvement in their offensive!" Liu Zhaocheng put down his telescope and smiled calmly: "Tukhachevsky had more than 700 cannons in his hands, but he did not concentrate them.

They rise up to give full play to their greatest advantage and still try to use the human wave tactic to win, but this result will still leave them with nothing."

Li Zongren also seemed not worried at all. According to the current battlefield situation, the Russians would not be able to gain the upper hand even if they attack for several days: "Our three new reinforcement divisions have arrived on the battlefield. Do we want to join the battle?"

Liu Zhaocheng thought for a moment, then shook his head: "It's not yet time, let them all serve as the general reserve team. The Russians still have the energy to attack, wait a little longer, and wait patiently for a while."

The battle has progressed to this point, and Liu Zhaocheng has already secured victory.

The Russians don't know that in fact, the number of troops currently in Liu Zhaocheng's hands has narrowed the gap with the Russians. The Chinese Army even has the power to counterattack!

The only difference is that Liu Zhaocheng did not show his full strength. He was still waiting for the moment to deliver a fatal blow to the Russians!

Artillery shells rumbled on the battlefield, and the entire land was plunged into thick smoke. The fighting cries of tens of thousands of soldiers continued to be heard, seeming to describe the terrible disaster on the battlefield.

Unless one party suffers a complete defeat, this disaster can finally end, but no one is willing to give up everything.

〖Chinese〗 Chinese, Russians, and Polish people all have their own beliefs. No matter which side thinks they represent justice, no matter which side thinks they are the only master.

But these are all based on victory. Only the victorious party represents justice and is the master of everything!!
