Chapter 4 Dharma Wall Viewing

In this world, life is short, and cultivation is just for longevity. What is longevity? For people in this world, longevity means endless life, that is, living for thousands of years.

The human race is the master of wisdom. One year of cultivation can defeat demons and monsters for ten years and a hundred years. However, for the human race, the biggest limitation of cultivation is that the life span is too short. In today's world, only the emperor, the emperor, who is the best in the world, dares to live forever.

He claims to be one, but in fact, there are very few emperors who can live over a hundred years old.

Therefore, from the emperor's noble stomach to the peddler's pawn, everyone in the world seeks immortality.

People in the world seek immortality through cultivation, so they have the secret realm of immortality. It is said that if you cultivate to the highest level, you can live for ten thousand years. If you go further, you can even ascend to the heavens, become an immortal and become a Buddha.

According to ancient legend, the secret realm of immortality is divided into ten levels. From tenth to one, if you cultivate to the first level of immortality, you will have a life of ten thousand years and have the possibility to enter the heavens.

Immortality grade is a symbol of strength in this world. The grade system of imperial civil servants, military officers, and spiritual officials are all derived from the longevity grade.

Ordinary people, if they want to step into the realm of immortality, there are only two ways. One is to take the shortcut and enter the Dharma through martial arts; the other is to take the dangerous path and enter the Dharma from the heart.

Entering the Dharma through martial arts means refining the body to break wood, bones and stones, refining gas to turn into gold, gathering a huge amount of power in the body, and entering the secret realm of immortality in one fell swoop. This is also the most popular way of practice in the world today. The speed of entering the Dharma

It's fast, and even if you can't enter the realm of immortality, you can still master martial arts.

Entering the Dharma from the heart focuses on sudden enlightenment, that is, when one thought arises, all dharmas arise. This is also the correct way of cultivation. The ancients often said that to cultivate the truth, you must first cultivate your heart, and to become a god first, you must be a human being. What matters when entering the Dharma from the heart is the heart.

The accumulation of knowledge, if successful, will be of great help to the cultivation of immortality.

The process of cultivation in the Immortal Realm is a long-term process of fighting against the inner demons. The higher the person's magic power, the stronger the inner demons. If the inner demons can be suppressed, the cultivation level can be further improved. On the contrary, if the state of mind is suppressed by the inner demons, it will be as minor as

, the body has thousands of magical powers but it is difficult to use them. In the middle case, if one becomes possessed by a demon, all the magical powers will disappear. In the worst case, the demonic nature will burn the body and the soul will be destroyed.

The practice of Dalin Temple is based on application, which emphasizes using martial arts to enter the Dharma and then seeking the state of mind.

In Dalin Temple, Fa Hai, who cannot practice martial arts, is one of the very few who pursues entering the Dharma from the heart.

Although Fa Hai has practiced Zen for ten years, his state of mind has not yet reached the state of immortality. Although he has a hundred years of powerful magic power in his body, he can't exert it at all. In terms of combat effectiveness, he can't even defeat Fa Er next to him.

However, once Fahai has a sudden enlightenment and enters the tenth level of immortality, he will have an acquired spiritual body and hundreds of years of magical power, and he will turn over and become a monster-like existence.

Concentrating his mind, Kong San sat upright, with his fingers forming a lotus seal, and once again faced the empty wall and stared blankly.

Fahai's method of cultivating the mind is called "Dharma Wall Contemplation". It is a pure method of cultivating the mind. There are very few ordinary monks who practice this method in Dalin Temple. Most of the monks are entering the realm of immortality.

Only later can you practice this mental method. Due to Fahai's special situation and being unable to practice martial arts, the great abbot made an exception and passed on the Bodhidharma wall contemplation method to Fahai for the purpose of cultivating the mind.

Dalin Temple, like Shaolin Temple, is also passed down from Patriarch Bodhidharma. This wall contemplation method was created by Patriarch Bodhidharma who had been facing the wall for ten years. It is the fundamental method of the Heart Sect.

I remember that at that time, when Master Tripitaka traveled around the world and discussed Zen with a Shaolin patriarch, he once commented on this method, "Wall view in Mahayana has the highest achievements. It is the leader of learning in the world, and people admire it like a city."

It was precisely because of Master Tripitaka's evaluation of Bodhidharma's wall contemplation that the sect founded by Bodhidharma was honored as the Zen Lin Xin Sect.

Unfortunately, Mahayana Buddhism founded by Patriarch Bodhidharma has declined, while Wu Zen, the Hinayana Buddhism he created on a whim, has been carried forward by the descendants who disdain him.

Patriarch Bodhidharma can be said to be an outlier in Buddhism. He left countless legends throughout his life. His most shocking words are:

People say that there is a Buddha in heaven, and the Buddha says that there is me in the world. The Buddha is in the world, and the Buddha is in the heart. The Buddha is me, and I am the Buddha.

The wall contemplation method created by Bodhidharma also adheres to this shocking Zen concept.

Ten years of watching from the wall, one step to reach the sky.

The worldly monks have been following the ancient Buddha Qingdeng for decades. All they seek is the state of "Buddha sitting in the heart", which is the state of meditation that leads to ten levels of immortality. Therefore, ordinary Buddhist practitioners have lofty and infinite respect.

The purpose of sitting in front of the Buddha, burning incense, meditating, bathing, forming seals, meditating, and visualizing is to introduce my Buddha Dharma into the sea of consciousness, so as to achieve the goal of having a Buddha in my heart and all kinds of Dharma.

The Dharma wall contemplation method goes in the opposite direction. Not only does it not have any complicated prelude when entering concentration, but it also does not require the introduction of the Buddha's image into the sea of consciousness. What it seeks is to reach the point where the Buddha is born from the heart through quiet enlightenment, and I am the Buddha.

In short, the ordinary method of cultivating the mind is a method of inheritance, and the Dharma wall contemplation method is a method of creation.

"No movement, no stillness, no birth and no destruction, no right and wrong, no dwelling and no destination, calmness and silence, that is eternal life."

Fahai has practiced Zen for ten years. Although his heart is not sincere, the basic skills of entering concentration are still very solid. As the secret of wall viewing slowly flows through his mind, in about half a stick of incense, Fahai gradually enters a state of mindlessness.

The state of emptiness and darkness.

Entering concentration is only the first step.

As he enters concentration, the thoughts of Fahai gradually transfer into the sea of consciousness, which is the brain area.

Taoist practitioners build the foundation to expand the meridians, while Buddhist practitioners build the foundation to expand the sea of consciousness.

As soon as the consciousness entered the sea of consciousness, the sea of fa was shocked again.

"Those with acquired spiritual bodies have boundless meridians and boundless seas of consciousness. It turns out that what Master said is true..."

Fahai's sea of consciousness turned out to be as vast as a universe. The stars in the sky flickered from the distant void, emitting strands of starlight. Fahai saw a blurry shadow sitting in the vast universe, like an infinitesimal

of mass point.

The outside is still and the inside is moving, the flesh is still and the spirit is moving, the body is still and the spirit is moving, the mind is still and thoughts are moving!

Under the influence of his thoughts, Bodhidharma's secrets on the wall were flowing rapidly again, and the shadow in the sea of fahai suddenly emitted a golden light, as if the stars in the sky were blessing him with light.

At this time, Fa Hai also felt a breeze blowing over his body, a feeling of ecstasy. It was extremely comfortable and intoxicating, as if he could escape from the sea of suffering and ascend to bliss. Without great concentration, he would definitely be immersed in it.

It's hard to extricate yourself from this kind of pleasure, which is like taking drugs.

It has been difficult for Fahai to make progress in his cultivation in this life, but he fell here. Because he suffered too much in his childhood, he could not resist this temptation.

The current Fahai is different. Although he is also a little intoxicated, he faced countless temptations all day long in his previous life, with feasting, entertainment, and sex. His rich experience has given him a strong sense of discrimination, and he understands that the feeling he feels now is that of a person who wants to pull someone away.

The "pit" where he dismounted was a "tiger" that was trying to block his way. So he was alert, and with great perseverance, he woke up from this ecstatic feeling, and the spiritual platform gradually became empty.

At this time, there was no more light in the void, everything was an illusion. Fahai knew that this second step of visualization was successful, and it was the first time in ten years. This is why cultivating the mind is more difficult than practicing martial arts.

As long as the mind is lost once, all previous efforts will be immediately wasted.

The third step is the most important step - meditation, which is also a state that Fahai has not been exposed to in the past ten years. After passing this level, the Buddha's image in the sea of consciousness will be qualitatively formed and become the Dharma of his life, deriving endless magic power.

.

Now that he has successfully reached the second step, Fahai decided to continue and overcome the barrier in one fell swoop.

The most critical thing in this step is faith, true faith. Many people will say that after having wine and meat through their intestines, the Buddha sits in their hearts. In fact, most of the people who say this said that they went home to play with their wives after having wine and meat through their intestines. In their previous lives,

Such false monks abound.

Fa Hai does not believe in Buddha. He has never believed in Buddha in his previous life or this life. He believes in himself and in materialism. However, things must be reversed at the extreme, and the extreme of idealism is materialism. In this world, there are many people in the world who believe in materialism.

But compared with them, the biggest difference between Fa Hai is that his career in his previous life gave him a huge materialist theory to support him. The theoretical achievements of tens of millions of people in the past century are all in his mind. It can be said that his mind has been armed.

to every cell.

Nearly thirty years of experience in his previous life, six years of hardship and ten years of hard work in this life, a total of nearly forty years of accumulation, have made his faith extremely firm and unafraid of any challenges!

"Success or failure depends on one move. The image arises from the heart, and I am the Buddha!"

With a roar in his heart, a bright light shined in the sea of consciousness, and the endless void instantly turned into daylight. Under the light, no shadow dared to stay.

After the light, the sea of consciousness once again returned to a void, but what was different from before was that the tiny shadow in the center of the void, as small as a particle, had disappeared, replaced by a shining golden Buddha. This golden Buddha's naked body

Standing in the void, with his hands in seals, his expression was calm and composed, but his appearance was not as solemn as the Buddha statues in the temple. On the contrary, he gave off an extremely familiar feeling, which was just that - ordinary to the point of scum.

"Uh! It's actually Buddha!!"

Simply put, the state of meditation is a state of belief in the Dharma, that is, there is a Buddha in the heart. There are many kinds of Buddhas, including Vajra, Jialan, Arhat, Venerable, Bodhi, and Buddha. They reflect the firm and strong inner faith of the cultivator.

level. Throughout the ages, the vast majority of Buddhist practitioners have entered the realm of meditation and have cultivated Vajra and Jialan. Only a very small number of people with great wisdom and great power in reincarnation can cultivate the Dharma of the Buddha corresponding to their previous life.

There are no ordinary Buddhist practitioners in the world who can cultivate Buddhahood without any foundation.

Although the Buddha's Dharma image in the Sea of Dharma is weak and has poor appearance, it is indeed a Buddha who is at the pinnacle of the Paradise World. It doesn't matter if he is weak, because with the experience of the practitioner, the power of the Buddha increases.

Every time there is more enlightenment and more Dharma power in the heart, the Buddha's Dharma will become stronger. The Dharma of one's destiny is the spiritual sustenance of the Buddhist practitioner, the carrier of mind power, the source of supernatural power, and the basis for ascension.

"This appearance...isn't this myself?"

In his previous life, Fa Hai was not good-looking and could only rely on his power to play with women and find his psychological balance. But now the Buddha's appearance is exactly the same as his previous life. No, even worse than his previous life. Especially his pair of Buddha eyes, which are indescribable.

The obscenity and evilness are just like his heart.

It can be said that the flash of the Buddha's eyes can scare away any female Bodhisattva who dares to approach. Even the most lustful and despicable Dingguang Huanxi Buddha will tighten his chrysanthemums and run away.
