Chapter 94: Heart and Kidney Intersection

Why do you say that the inner elixir should guard the lower dantian at the beginning? It means that you should first reduce the heart fire.

Therefore, if the alchemist at this stage is young and strong, it is not a big problem to occasionally walk lead, but he cannot move. Once the qi is moved, his mind will be dissipated and he will be in vain.

In the middle stage, the main focus is on increasing kidney water and the auxiliary focus is on reducing heart fire. Look at the alchemists at this time, they abide by the precepts. There must be no accident under the belt, and the more the anger is stronger, and they often quarrel with people. Why? Physiological and psychological reasons complement each other. The more powerful the fire is, the higher the pot branch, the easier it is to burn others. When you reach the advanced level, it is like walking a tightrope, trembling. Legend has it that you must practice in the mountains, forests, cliffs, and desert islands that are rarely visited. Although I have never experienced it, I can say it well. Any movement in the outside world at this time may cause a huge impact on the alchemist, and then it is the so-called devil. The only way is to not see people. As for animals, you will no longer be afraid of animals when you reach that level.

As for how the heart fire sinks and the kidney water rises, let’s talk about it when talking about Zhuangzi.

At this point, all the things that ants chew on the sky have been said. Let me summarize. From the beginning, I entered the Tao, and in fact, like most Taoists in the world, I sincerely worshiped God, burned incense, chanted scriptures, did morning and evening homework, abide by the precepts, and actively preached the Tao with a heart of worrying about the country and the people, and was afraid that the ancestors' Taoist tradition would not be continued. I also often argued fiercely with all kinds of people. Over time, the initial religious fanaticism subsided and the number of arguments increased, and many questions were not concluded. You quoted a section of Taoist sect and I quoted a section of Taoist sect. Both of them said it was right, but they were inconsistent. Tao is the only one, why would there be so many differences when applied specifically? Although I am a Taoist sect, I also refined elixirs because I wanted to become an immortal. But as a married person, I cannot continue this path for at least twenty years. So what can I do for the final immortality in these twenty years?

With these two doubts, I decided to come from the classics and study the Tao Te Ching and the South China Sutra again. On the one hand, I used logical weapons to eliminate all contradictory doctrines and content that had nothing to do with becoming an immortal, and on the other hand, I thought about how people in ancient times became immortals.

I have said before that I believe that the inner alchemy method is an important and effective way to cultivate immortality, but I don’t believe that this is the only way, because if it is the only way, it means that people in ancient and medieval times cannot become immortals, which is not understandable. If you say that ancient people can show this set of alchemy method by their own understanding of the Zhou Yi, their understanding of the hexagram, their understanding of the River Tu and Luoshu, and even their understanding of the rising and falling of the sun in the east, I have no argument to prove that this does not exist, but this is a conspiracy theory.

In addition, Zen, Pure Land, Tibetan Buddhism, and Hindu yogis do not practice the Pure and Quiet Alchemy method. If I believe that there are great achievements, this will not be understood. Even the Pure and Quiet Alchemy method passed down now is different from each school, so how should we explain it? In short, I think there must be other paths to becoming an immortal besides the Pure and Quiet Alchemy method, so I have to find it and apply it. Now, I think I have found it. At least, the Taoist talks about the Zhonghuang and the Confucianism talks about the human heart is dangerous, the Taoist heart is subtle, the Taoist heart is only one, and it is only one, and it is allowed to hold on to the middle. The three meridians and seven chakras mentioned in Tibetan Buddhism are the same thing, which is probably what I will use in the end.

Later, I have straightened out my ideas and recorded them. It is good for me. I don’t have to think about what I have said, unless there is a big breakthrough. So although I am not quiet in the past few months, I believe that after I finish speaking, I will still be quieter, and there will be less and deeper things in my mind, rather than the other way around.

Some people may hear this topic and think it is too big and too far.

Cultivating immortality seems to be an out of reach. In fact, for me, this article is called the insight of cultivating the mind, the insight of cultivating the Tao, and the insight of cultivating immortality.

It’s like a bricklayer. He said he was building bricks, he said he was building walls, he said he was building houses, they were all right, they were the same. Since they were all the same, it might as well say that they were bigger and people should set great ambitions.

My original idea was over, and the only difference was that I would intersperse a lot of insights between what I said before, but after I went to the temple to meet my master, the master told me a lot, and in general, I still have to do something and make a difference.

Professional Taoist priests are like this. No one would suggest that their strong disciples leave society and seek peace. They always serve society, religion, and believers. So I think that since I have said it, I know that I can still speak articles, so it is better to say it in a more organized way and more meaningful way.

Because I think we are all modern people, not as good as the ancients, and our understanding and experience of society are seriously limited to our own, and we have already filled our minds with a lot of modern knowledge.

If there is no worldview that can straighten these things in a way that conforms to the Tao, it will inevitably form obstacles to cultivating immortals. This obstacle is superstition of knowledge and confusion about unknown knowledge. These things cannot be discussed in Zhuangzi, so I can only talk about them in advance. I think that if you have read them carefully and understand them, you should already be a person who will not be superstitious. Anyone, whether it is a great immortal warlock or an insurance broker or a doctor, will be difficult for you to cheat.

In fact, this has completed the first step in my so-called method of cultivating immortality, the absolute independence of personality. In this world, we should not blindly believe in anyone or anything except ourselves, and we must think about it before, why? If we can convince ourselves, we will believe it. I think the best tool to convince ourselves is logic.
