Chapter 45 The relationship between boyfriend and girlfriend(1/2)
Chapter 45 Relationship between boyfriend and girlfriend
Author: Nan Ruoruo
Seven years ago, on the day Li Mianmian graduated from elementary school, the old lady who raised her passed away.
This old lady was suffering from various diseases, so it was not easy for her to survive to that age.
The family had been arranging the old lady's funeral arrangements for a long time, so not long after her death, the son, daughter-in-law and his family drove a van back to the mountain village.
That day was the same, it was raining heavily.
Li Mianmian went to school to receive her graduation notice. She had no umbrella and only wore a tattered raincoat. The road was so muddy that she was wrapped up into a miserable drowned rat.
When I got home, the yard was full of people. It looked densely packed with people, and they were all familiar neighbors in the village.
Li Mianmian didn't know what happened, so she pressed the notice in her clothes and walked over slowly.
The onlookers noticed her and silently made way for her.
She heard many people whispering that she was "poor".
An aunt who was usually very kind to her couldn't bear it and wanted to drag her over to comfort her, but her adoptive father had already noticed her and waved to her from a distance: "Come and kowtow to your grandma."
Li Mianmian walked over, knelt under the eaves, and kowtowed three times to the corpse in the room.
The adoptive parents and their young son were standing next to her. Even in the hot June, their eyes still made Li Mianmian feel cold.
Li Mianmian doesn't remember much about what happened next.
Perhaps because of being caught in the rain, or perhaps because she was frightened by the corpse in the hall, she developed a fever that night and stayed alone in her small room for several days before she woke up.
After her fever subsided, her first reaction was to find something to eat.
There happened to be a funeral that day, and a shed was set up in the yard. The whole village was eating the funeral banquet outside, and the kitchen was piled with a lot of unserved dishes, which were delicacies that Li Mianmian could not usually touch.
She hid behind the stove, ate her stomach, and quietly walked back along the wall. When she passed a certain room, she heard the people inside seemed to be talking about her.
"Isn't that little girl in your family very beautiful and clever? It would be great to be your son's wife in the future!" A woman said, "The bride price for marrying a daughter-in-law is so expensive now, so just give it to her.
It doesn’t cost anything to raise her and just give her food to eat. Isn’t it more cost-effective than marrying another wife?”
Then came the voice of the adoptive father: "My son and I think so too."
"Yes!" Another person said, "You have been raising this girl since she was a child. She is almost twelve years old, right? She can have a baby after studying in junior high school for a few years. Now that she is studying for free, it is not free to pick up a wife.
Well, it would be a pity to throw it away and sell it."
"Then let's do this for now," said the adoptive father. "We'll take her with us when we return to the city tomorrow, and then we'll find a way to get her household registration settled so that she can't join our household."
"Isn't this simple? You are like this..."
Li Mianmian listened to them talking and felt confused and at a loss.
She doesn't want to be someone else's wife and have children after she finishes junior high school.
Teachers who came to teach in the past said that the outside world is big, rich, and beautiful. As long as we study hard, everyone will be able to go out one day.
Li Mianmian also watched many movies and books in the teacher's dormitory, listened to the teacher talk about high school and college, and heard the teacher praise her talent for painting and encourage her to become an artist in the future...
So many dreams that I once thought I could achieve as long as I worked hard have been shattered because of these words I overheard today.
Her fate is to be a child bride for others.
In fact, this was not the first time she heard these words. Many classmates had made such jokes before.
Li Mianmian knew that it was because the adults at home told them that, that they made fun of her.
It's just that she didn't feel the fear as vividly as she does now.
When she went to bed that night, Li Mianmian lay on the bed and tossed and turned, thinking about how she could escape.
Taking advantage of the chaos of the past few days, it was actually not difficult for her to leave this home.
The difficult question is, how far can she run?
Can she run out of the village? Even if she can, where will she go? How can she eat outside?
What will she do after running out? Can she continue studying?
These questions tortured her all night. The next day, the aunt who was very kind to her came to her secretly, gave her fifty yuan, and told her that she could go to the town to find the police uncle, and then find a way to find her.
biological parents.
That was the first time Li Mianmian had the concept of biological parents.
She was so young when she was abducted and trafficked. After so many years, she had no idea of resistance at all. She just felt as if she was born like this, born here, and never loved by anyone.
So Li Mianmian decided to run away that day.
She was heartbroken and thought about just running away secretly.
Without a car, she could still rely on her legs. As long as she walked to the town, she could take a bus into the city.
In the end, she still couldn't escape.
The animals in the village all woke up early, and there was a little movement. Roosters crowing and dogs barked from house to house. Li Mianmian was soon captured by her adoptive father.
The rain was getting heavier and heavier, and the sky never lit up, except for the flashes of lightning and thunder from time to time.
When Li Mianmian was carried into the yard by his adoptive father, he heard their son crying. He might have been frightened by thunder.
The adoptive mother came over to close the door, gave her a cold look, and said to the adoptive father very impatiently: "Just give her a lesson, be careful, and don't pay any more medical bills."
The adoptive father responded, threw Li Mianmian into her small room, and then squeezed in.
The room was too small. As soon as he entered, Li Mianmian felt that it was difficult to even breathe.
"You little bitch, you are so brave that you dare to run away. Who taught you?" He reached out and touched Li Mianmian, "Did someone give you money?"
He found the fifty yuan in his arms easily.
"Who gave it to me?" He punched Li Mianmian's nose with money, "If you don't say anything, you stole it!"
Li Mianmian retreated to the corner, gritted her teeth and said, "I didn't steal it!"
"You didn't steal it? Then where did the money come from?!"
The adoptive father put the money into his pocket, dragged her forward by her ankles, raised his hand to hit her, and cursed: "Shameless thing! Still acting like a thief! Acting like a thief!"
Li Mianmian cried and howled, her clothes getting a little messy in the struggle.
Gradually, she became vaguely aware of it and screamed louder and louder.
"You can seduce people at a young age!"
"You are our child bride!" In the dark wooden house, his face was like a ghost, "Sooner or later, you will be our child bride..."
Li Mianmian opened her mouth and bit his jaw fiercely, but instead he laughed sinisterly: "Hey - you deserve a beating!"
Thunder exploded, obscuring all sounds in the room.
Li Mianmian felt as if the pouring rain outside was falling on her body.
"Why are you making such a fuss!" The adoptive mother yelled from outside, "Your son is scared to death!"
The adoptive father stopped moving.
"Tsk, it's really not the right time." He raised his body and tapped Li Mianmian hard on the forehead.
The wooden door was locked, and then the sound of locking was heard.
Li Mianmian stared blankly at the ceiling, gradually feeling nothing.
My mind was filled with terrible thunder.
It's raining heavily all over the world.
-
"boom--"
There was a heavy sound, and the bedroom door was pushed open violently.
The single bed shook twice, and someone grabbed Li Mianmian's wrist.
She subconsciously wanted to struggle, but Gu Yanci's voice came to her ears: "It's me, my brother."
Li Mianmian fell silent instantly.
"Brother is late..." Gu Yanci hugged her into his arms, the hand on the back of her head trembling slightly: "Don't be afraid..."
"Their son has been crying, so we returned to the city early and planned to go to the hospital to check on their son first." Li Mianmian continued to talk about the unfinished content on the phone, "Then there was a landslide and the car fell off the cliff.
, I am the only one who survived.”
"They are punished for their evil deeds." Gu Yanci kissed the top of her hair very gently, "Be good, don't think about it anymore."
"Actually, when the ambulance arrived, they were still alive..." Li Mianmian whispered, "I cursed them to death."
In the accident that day, Li Mianmian was like a miracle.
The van rolled head-first down the cliff. The adoptive father, who was in the driver's seat, was pierced by a sharp tree trunk and died on the spot.
The adoptive mother was holding her son in the passenger seat. Although the two people did not die immediately, they were only hanging on for breath.
To be continued...
