Chapter 34 The dragon and horse surrender
It is said that the golden-headed Jiedi here is carrying an auspicious cloud, and he has already arrived at Putuo Luojia Mountain in the South China Sea.
He pressed the auspicious light and landed in the purple bamboo forest.
He explained his intention to the gods in golden armor and conveyed it with a wooden cross, and then he met the Bodhisattva.
The Bodhisattva saw the golden head and asked, "What are you doing here?"
The golden head revealed the truth and said, "We guarded Monk Tang to the Yingchou Stream in the Snake Pan Mountain. The stream is deep and steep, and there is an evil dragon. He lost his horse."
"Great Sage Sun was so angry that he asked about the land of the local mountain gods. They said that the evil dragon was sent here by the Bodhisattva."
"The great sage sent a small god to come and pay homage to the Bodhisattva. He asked the Bodhisattva to surrender the evil dragon and return the horses to their master and disciples."
The Bodhisattva twisted his orchid fingers and said calmly, "That guy is the son of Ao Run, the Dragon King of the West Sea."
"He set fire to the jewel in the palace, and his father accused him of disobedience."
"Heaven has sentenced him to death, so I personally went to see the Jade Emperor to beg him for his life and to teach him how to fight Tang Monk."
"How could it still eat Tang Monk's horse?"
"I really need to be there in person for this matter."
The Bodhisattva descended from the lotus platform and left the fairy cave.
He and the golden-headed monk, one riding on the auspicious light and the other on the auspicious clouds, crossed the South China Sea and arrived at Yingchou Stream in a short time.
The two of them looked down in the sky.
I saw Sun Xingzhe yelling and cursing beside the stream.
The Bodhisattva and the golden head revealed the truth and said, "Call the monkey head to come up."
Jie Di pressed his head and did not go to meet Li Fu. Instead, he went directly to Yingchou Stream and spoke to Sun Xingzhe.
"The Bodhisattva is here!"
When Wukong heard the words, he flew straight into the sky through the clouds and said loudly, "You are the master of the Seven Buddhas and the compassionate leader. How could you come up with such a way to harm me?"
The Bodhisattva was not angry after hearing this. He said, "You are a bold blind servant and a foolish red-butt monkey!"
"I tried my best to save a Buddhist monk and told him to save your life and free you from the sea of suffering."
"Why don't you come to thank me for living, monkey head, instead of yelling at me?"
The fiery monkey said angrily, "You did a good job on me! Since you let me out, just let me be free."
"You met me in Nanhai the day before yesterday and told me to serve that Tang Dynasty monk with all my heart."
"But why did you put a flowery hat on him, let him trick me, and recite the "Tightening Curse" to make me suffer?"
When the Bodhisattva heard the words, he took a closer look and saw that the monkey's head was empty. There was no flower hat.
He said, "You don't have any colorful hat on your monkey head, what are you talking to me about?"
The Bodhisattva then said, "You monkey! You have a perverse temperament and surly behavior. You do not respect the teachings and will not receive the right fruit."
"If I don't add some means to you, how can I know that you will deceive God again one day!"
"The same goes for your master. A woman's benevolence, does he know that being soft-hearted for a moment will lead to suffering in the future?"
"You have such a violent temper, and if you get into trouble like before, who else can take care of you?"
"I have to give you some means to get you, the devil, to join my path of yoga!"
Wukong clicked until he reached this point, knowing that he had a lot of misdeeds in the past, and it was impossible to explain them.
He said, "Let's forget about that matter and just think of me as a devil."
"But why did you send this sinful evil dragon here to become a spirit and teach him to eat my master's horse?"
"It is really unkind of you to condone such evildoers!"
The Bodhisattva said, "This dragon is the son of Aorun of the West Sea. I personally appealed to the Jade Emperor to ask him to end up here."
"The purpose is to help those who seek scriptures."
"Just think about it, even if the mortal horse in the East is not devoured by this dragon, how can it go through thousands of rivers and mountains and hundreds of thousands of miles away?"
"How to get to the Lingshan Buddha Land?"
"You have to change into this extraordinary dragon and horse before you can go there."
Wukong felt breath coming out of his nostrils. Although he was angry, he also accepted this statement.
He said, "It looks like this and is afraid of Lao Sun. It hides under the water and never comes out. What can I do?"
The Bodhisattva, wearing a golden head, said, "Go to the stream and call out, 'Yulong, the third prince of Ao Run, the Dragon King of the West Sea, come out. The Bodhisattva of the South China Sea is here.'"
The golden head uncovers the truth and goes to the edge of the stream, repeating it exactly twice.
I saw two waves rising in the water that had been muddied by the traveler. He jumped out of the water, transformed into a human form, stepped on the clouds, and went straight to the Bodhisattva in the sky.
After he finished his worship, he said, "A certain person has received the great grace of being liberated and saved by the Bodhisattva. I have been waiting here for a long time, but I have not heard from the person who took the sutra."
The Bodhisattva pointed at Sun Wukong and said, "Isn't this the great disciple of the Buddhist monk?"
When the dragon saw Wukong, he said, "Bodhisattva! This man is my life and death enemy. Yesterday, I was so hungry that I ate the horse by the water."
"I didn't expect that this guy who came from nowhere actually relied on some strength to fight me to the point of defeat."
"You scolded me so much that we couldn't even leave."
"Why doesn't it mention a single word about seeking scriptures?"
Wukong said, "You didn't ask, what did I say?"
The dragon said, "I never asked you where the devil came from?"
"After hearing this, you shouted directly, 'It doesn't matter what it is, just give me the horse back!'"
"Have you said half of the Chinese character Tang in your mouth?"
The Bodhisattva said, "This monkey head always thinks that he can rely on his own ability to be strong, so how can he praise others?"
"If you do it in the future, there will be people who will submit to you. At that time, you can just collect the scriptures first, so you don't have to worry about it anymore, and you will naturally be respectful!"
When the practitioner hears the words, he smiles and accepts the instruction.
The Bodhisattva stepped forward and picked off the pearl from the dragon's neck. The willow branch in his hand was stained with nectar. He brushed it on the body, blew the fairy air from his mouth, and then said, "Change!"
The humanoid dragon turned into a white horse.
The Bodhisattva exhorts you, "You must repay your karmic obstacles with your heart. After you have completed the sutra study, you will surpass ordinary dragons and return you a golden body."
The dragon horse holds the horizontal bone in its mouth, which is like a ball in the mouth, and cannot speak.
It can only raise its head and flick its tail in response.
The Bodhisattva taught Wukong to take the dragon horse to see Li Fu, and then said, "I will go back to the sea!"
Unexpectedly, the traveler grabbed the Bodhisattva and refused to let go, "I won't go! I won't go!"
"The road to the West is so rugged. Old Sun is alone and in danger, let alone protecting this mortal monk."
“I don’t even know when we will arrive, and I don’t know Lao Sun’s name yet so it’s hard to be complete.”
"How can we accomplish anything like this!"
"I'm not going! I'm not going!"
The Bodhisattva said, "You were born and raised in the earth, but you have not yet become a human being, and you have devoted yourself to cultivation."
"You have escaped from natural disasters today, why have you become lazy?"
"In our door, silence has always come true."
"If you have the confidence to achieve the true fruition, you will also go to the place where the body is hurt and suffered, and you encounter tribulations. I ask you to call the sky and the earth to respond."
"If this is the case, it is still difficult to escape. I will also come to rescue you personally."
