Chapter 35 Tracing the Dead Qi of Fate
Chapter 35 Tracing the Deathly Aura of Destiny
Human world, Kingdom of Eleusis.
Lincos was in his mansion, peering into the distant temple through a specially opened window.
After cooperating with Triptolemus, he fought in the north and south over the years. With his immortality, he would always be at the forefront of every battle, and soon Thessaly and Phryage disappeared from the world.
Already.
There is only one country in the world now, and this country is called Eleusis.
And by virtue of his illustrious military exploits, he became a unique general in this country, inferior to one person and superior to ten thousand people.
But Linkos felt no joy.
He considers himself a person who has lost his past. He just carries a numb mind and drags his tired body around the world aimlessly, exhausting everything just to wait for the possibility of revenge.
"It would have been better if I had killed that monster."
"That way you won't be clueless and confident."
Linkos murmured.
The traces of the gods were not easy to find. He wanted to kill the gods, but he didn't even know where they were. The encounter with Chiron was the closest he got to his revenge goal.
He felt more and more that there was not enough time.
Because a statue of a young god was added to the temple of Zeus, the King of Gods, opposite. According to the priest, it was Ares, the son of the God King and the Queen of Heaven.
However, he had not yet seen the appearance of this new god. He was so resentful that he did not dare to step into the god's territory, fearing that they would discover that he was a blasphemous person.
After a long time, he finally made up his mind.
"We can't delay it any longer. The power of gods and humans is inherently unequal. If we delay it any longer, we won't even be qualified to struggle."
"Something must be done to change this situation."
He solemnly picked up the knife and strode towards the palace.
There was no one accompanying him. Anyone who knew Linkos knew that he was very lonely, and Linkos was happy to be so. He never made friends with powerful people and relied on his actual ability to control the soldiers.
He and Triptolemus each had their own division of labor, one was responsible for fighting the war, and the other was responsible for managing the country.
This method of division of labor and cooperation made Eleusis invincible on the battlefield, but when the war ended, its shortcomings became apparent.
Lincos found that he had no one to use. No matter what he wanted the country to do for him, he could not get around Triptolemus.
This is contrary to Linkos' original intention.
He originally thought that Triptolemus and he were on the same journey, and they both had a common enemy - the gods, so Lincos absolutely trusted him.
But the longer they get along, the more Linkos can feel the differences between the two.
Triptolemus was too petty. Deep down in his heart, he did not think highly of himself and believed that the gods were invincible. He did not want revenge at all, he just wanted revenge.
This is not possible. Since he doesn't dare, Linkos has to help him.
There were guards on both sides of the palace gate. They stopped Lincos and reminded him: "Lord Lincos, you cannot wear a sword when you meet the king."
Of course Linkos knew this, but things were different now. He came with a purpose.
The door was open, and he stood at the door and looked inside. Triptolemus was waiting for him to see him.
Not wanting to waste time with the two pawns, he drew his sword, flat sword, and cloud sword, and the two heads fell to the ground.
Lincos boldly broke into the palace, and in front of him was Triptolemus, who had his back turned to him.
He didn't make a sound, but his silence made his intention clear.
Triptolemus seemed to have eyes behind his back. He said to Linkos: "Your murderous intention is getting more and more serious. If it were you before, you would never kill your compatriots."
"It'll just knock them out."
Linkos looked grim: "Time will change many things."
"Even gods can give birth to children, so it's not unusual for me to kill my compatriots."
"On the contrary, you are weaker than before."
Triptolemus turned around and showed the Deathrattle Blade in his hand.
"Aren't you afraid of me anymore?"
"You still have countermeasures, do you think you can beat me?"
Linkos sneered: "I have never been afraid of you."
"It's just that you were a capable collaborator in the past, and I was the one who lost by falling out with you, so it's not necessary."
"But if you hesitate to get off the boat, I need to remind you."
"Although the artifact in your hand is powerful, you are weak."
Triptolemus put away his dagger.
"Yeah, I'm weak."
"But you want to kill the gods, but you don't even know where the gods are."
"Actually, I think most gods are not as unbearable as you think."
"Just like Hades, who gave me strength, is not bad, and life can still be managed."
Linkos's eyes flashed with murderous intent, and the tip of the knife was slightly raised due to the force on his wrist.
"You are afraid and want to take refuge in the gods."
Triptolemus: "That's not true. It's just a recognition of one's own insignificance."
"After all, if you do what you want, humans may not be able to kill a god even if they die."
"You have fought in battles and know how important the right time and place are, and the gods are the masters of these powers."
"Lincos, you who are immortal will live, but we will die."
Linkos: "Oh, that's it!"
"It seems that we are not traveling together. It's time for me to leave."
He turned around and walked out of the palace, but suddenly turned back and wanted to throw the knife in his hand.
Unfortunately, Triptolemus was faster than him, and the Deathrattle Blade had already penetrated his back.
Linkos lost consciousness.
Triptolemus opened a secret door leading to the underground, and he carried Linchus on his back and walked underground.
In the darkness, he said to Linkos on his back: "You are too straightforward and stupid, and you can't hide your thoughts on your face."
"But it's nice to be friends."
"It's a pity that I don't have that chance."
"But don't worry, although I can't kill the gods, the gods are destined to not get what they want."
"We will all die, but you will live."
"When we are all dead, you can go crazy without any worries."
In the dark corridor, Triptolemus opened the door of a room. There was a gold coffin placed in the room. He put Lincos into the coffin, then locked the door and left.
But he didn't know that a wisp of death energy from the Deathrattle Blade had not disappeared. Someone was guiding it to follow a special connection and escape into the river of destiny, flying to the temple of the three goddesses of destiny.
In the temple, Clotho, who had changed the fate of Linkos, was weaving the thread of fate.
But she suddenly had a panic, which was a sign of death.
She quickly looked at the river of destiny outside the temple, trying to find the source of her panic.
But it was too late, a wisp of death leaped out from the river of destiny, and rushed towards Clotho, locking her in place.
