Chapter 36 The Flood Destroys the World
Chapter 36 Flood destroys the world
Mount Olympus.
The three brothers who rule the sky, the earth, the sea, and the underworld gather together.
Poseidon, the god of the sea, was the last person to arrive. He had his breasts exposed and his clothes were disheveled. As soon as he entered the palace, he impatiently asked Hades: "Hades, what is so important that the three of us must get together?"
No."
Zeus also looked curious. Hades rarely paid attention to people outside the underworld. The last time he was so solemn was when Cronus ruled the earth.
Hades under the hood spoke in an incomprehensible tone: "You are quite relaxed and comfortable."
"Fine wine in hand, beauty in arms."
"It's time to wake up, open your eyes and look at the humans on the earth."
"Look what happened."
Poseidon was puzzled, and Zeus was full of doubts. He looked towards the earth.
After the war, human beings unified into one country developed rapidly. They lived and worked in peace and contentment, and their numbers increased explosively.
He also saw the priests in the temple sacrificing him with cow bones wrapped in suet and kneeling on the ground to pray to him.
Everything is so harmonious.
He looked at Hades, hoping to get a reasonable explanation.
Facing his gaze, Hades mocked: "Why, didn't you see it?"
"Where is your faith, where is the faith of the gods?"
"My brother, the road you used to access great divine power is broken."
Poseidon was the first to react when he heard something related to him. He hurriedly checked, and then his angry exclamation sounded from the temple on the top of the mountain.
"Zeus, where is my faith?"
"Why is it so thin?"
"What on earth did you do."
Hades was standing on the side of the fire, and he taunted Zeus: "What have you done?"
"That's a good question."
"Did you do anything? Still nothing."
Zeus also reacted.
His faith suddenly lost most of it. If it was a big river before, it is just a trickle now.
Although he wanted to teach Poseidon, who had no respect for him, he had never suffered such disrespect since he became the king of the gods, but the matter was so important that Zeus tolerated it for the time being and just made a serious note in his heart.
Account.
Taking the initiative to suppress the dignity between his brows to make himself look gentle, he asked Hades: "Brother, what happened."
"Now that you have found us, you must be confident."
Hades turned around: "The king on earth has some opinions about us."
"He is very smart. He did not confront us head-on, but chose to subtly weaken human beings' sense of identity with us."
"Let them feel that they can live a good life even without God."
"Fortunately, I discovered it early. If it had been a few years, there would have been no place for us in the world."
Poseidon hurriedly shouted: "Then what are you waiting for? Let him die quickly and replace him with a king."
"Wait, you can't take advantage of him and dare to block my way."
"I will pierce his intestines and stomach, and let the dream god hang him in the dreams of all humans."
"As soon as humans fall asleep, they can see the miserable end of being my enemy."
Hades narrowed his eyes.
When did his men finally have their turn to be driven by Poseidon?
Did he give this order? Why didn't he know it?
His eyes penetrated the deathly aura covering his face, and Hades had something to say.
"Being afraid is of little use."
"If death could make a person afraid, no one in the human race would dare to chant my name."
"They still know how to repay kindness."
"After all, Prometheus was the one who brought them into this world. In the hearts of some humans, he is an irreplaceable god."
"Also, the only god."
Zeus did not interrupt midway. He had been looking at the man in the human temple who used cow bones to sacrifice him. The more he looked at it, the more he felt bored.
He looked away and saw on a high mountain not far away, Deucalion, the son of Prometheus, and Pyrrha, the daughter of Epimetheus, making love to each other.
He suddenly said harshly: "Then what's the use of keeping them?"
"It will take a hundred to two hundred years for them to replace Prometheus and gradually forget about it."
"If there are idiots inside who are stubborn, even three hundred years may not be enough."
"Just kill him and create another life."
He loudly called Athena outside the palace: "Athena, my daughter."
"Go to the Caucasus Mountains, break open the chest of Prometheus, and take out the power to create life and give it to Deucalion."
"If he doesn't want to, Deucalion can die."
"Then he commanded Epimetheus to hand over that part of his authority to his daughter Pyrrha."
"I want to see who else dares to claim to be the only god of mankind this time and provide them with protection."
Then he looked at Poseidon and said in a tone that could not be rejected: "The flood will destroy the world and leave no one behind."
Poseidon was born with a wild and unrestrained temperament, and he did not stick to trivial matters.
He didn't care at all about the tone of Zeus's order, but laughed loudly: "That's right, that's it, leave no one behind."
In laughter, he flew out of Olympus and landed on the sea.
Triton, his son with Queen Amphitrine, sent his trident.
Poseidon held this artifact high, and huge waves rose up like wind from the ground, sweeping towards the world.
Although these winds and waves are just a relatively heavy storm to the earth, they are life-threatening scythes to humans.
They were frightened, they fled, they were helpless.
Under the full force of one of the world's top gods, the raging tide submerged everything. Temples, houses, and palaces full of the atmosphere of the times were knocked down together, and the tide took them to the depths of the sea.
Become part of the treasure of the sea that future generations long for.
On Mount Olympus, Hades' figure gradually disappeared, but Zeus heard his muttering to himself.
"It's great, everything is finally on track."
…
In the human world, Triptolemus looked at the huge waves coming from the distance that covered the sky and the sun.
He was completely shocked.
"Is this the true power of the gods?"
"It turns out that we are not even ants."
But he immediately laughed: "I did it, and they were anxious."
He opened his arms and laughed loudly at the oncoming waves: "Hey!"
"Why are you so anxious?"
"Is this all the so-called God?"
Then with a smile on his face, he calmly got caught up in the wave.
But Triptolemus' journey was not over yet.
In a blur of consciousness, he felt like he had left his body and was being pulled by a force to fly somewhere.
So he woke up, and what he saw was darkness, and below him was a river glowing red.
Countless humans were flying around, their eyes closed tightly, and they seemed to have just fallen asleep.
He found that he was separated from the large army and flew into the unknown and dark depths.
He fell to the ground and saw a beautiful goddess waiting for him.
She said: "Come with me, His Majesty Hades has been waiting for you for a long time."
