Chapter Thirty-Three Prodigal Son

After picking the fruits, Wang Yang went back. Not long after, he came back again. This time, he found another small animal in the barrel trap.

Wang Yang was so happy because it seemed that other small animals only dared to approach him when he was away.

Without saying a word, Wang Yang quickly got rid of the little animal and got busy again.

Every time he goes back, comes, goes back, comes, he can find new animals in the barrel. Of course, most of them will run away immediately.

Only a few small animals misjudged and wanted to hide in the barrels.

After going back and forth seven times and bringing back three small animals, Wang Yang felt as happy as the farmer who saw the silly rabbit crashed into a tree and died.

The day passed peacefully without any accidents. Everyone in the forest was very busy, each coming up with ways to deal with winter.

At night, everyone sat around the bonfire, skewering barbecue, eating fruits, and feeling the warmth from the fire. It was so cozy.

Wang Yang hasn't gone to eat yet. He is sitting quietly by the stream. Next to him are several small animals caught today. The stars in the sky are reflected on the stream, rippling with the ripples.

He put his hand into the water, a chill came over him, and his whole body shivered like an electric shock, and he finally became more awake.

He dug out all the internal organs of the small animals, cut the blood vessels everywhere in the body many times, bled them in the water, and washed them clean.

Then he was taken into the cave.

He gave the entrails to the adults, and there he skinned the animal.

Skinning is actually a technical job. The fur of many animals is not easy to peel. As for the meat, rabbits and the like are very simple. Pull the skin of the wound and pull hard, and it will come off.

Wang Yang peeled off the skin as completely as possible and used it as a bag.

The skin that is difficult to peel is not peeled off, and the meat is cut directly with a stone knife to form a large cake, hung on the wall, and dried with the help of smoke and wind.

He tried his best to handle all of these by himself and was worried about letting others handle them, always afraid that they would not be able to help but eat them.

After doing this, he returned to the campfire and started eating.

They have been eating a lot of offal recently, but no one would object to it because it tastes no worse than meat.

Wang Yang prefers to eat kidneys, hearts and the like. These are small, skewered and grilled. They cook quickly and are crispy when chewed.

Of course he ate these again today. The adults caught a dozen small animals in total and had to destroy their internal organs.

While Wang Yang was eating, he looked at the surrounding walls and saw dozens of colorful animal carcasses nailed to them.

It was all meat stored by the adults during this period, and countless fish were also nailed to the wall for air-drying.

On the stone platform in the innermost part of the cave is the dried stock, which is almost a month's worth of food.

In order to prevent the meat from being affected by the fruits, Wang Yang put them separately and separated them with a wooden board. He didn't know if it would work.

As he was eating, he suddenly saw an adult taking a chestnut from his belt and eating it.

Wang Yang glanced at it twice and stopped paying attention. It was probably because he didn't hand it all over and kept a few.

But as soon as he ate, others also wanted to eat, and they surrounded him and asked for it.

He was really polite and grabbed them one by one as if they were free of charge.

Wang Yang was dumbfounded now. Where did the chestnuts come from?

Generally speaking, after they return to the cave, they will take out all the food they have obtained, dry what should be dried, and store what should be stored. No one breaks it down too much.

Then he started eating.

However, since he gained everyone's approval, he usually doesn't care and everyone eats whatever they want. Once winter comes, he starts to distribute what can be eaten now and what can't.

Wang Yang did not expect them to understand his good intentions, he just hoped that they would not cause him any trouble.

But small situations always happen frequently. They don't know Wang Yang's complicated thoughts. They only know that if you don't give us food, we will hide it and eat it.

Then there will be a situation where all the food is not gathered, and all one can say is: "tragedy."

Standing up, Wang Yang walked over as usual and took the bag over. He lowered his head and saw, good guy, it's a full bag.

"Woooo~!"

The adult complained to Wang Yang and stretched out his hand to snatch it back. He grabbed the bag and pulled it with Wang Yang.

The others stared at the two of them blankly, not intending to dissuade them.

In their concept, when courtship or conflict occurs, they can fight and the problem can be easily solved.

Wang Yang also realized something was wrong. He was so young that he couldn't challenge a tall and strong adult to a duel. The most important thing was that he had never thought of a duel!

Moreover, neither oneself nor the other party has reached the state of anger, so they cannot just act in such a confused way.

Raising his head and looking at the adult's frowning eyes, Wang Yang let go of his hand.

The bag containing chestnuts lost some of its strength and fell into the adult's hands. It whimpered with joy and seemed very excited.

Wang Yang chuckled and whined along with him. While shouting, he reached into his bag and put the chestnuts into his own bag one by one.

Only some were left for him.

This is another characteristic discovered by Wang Yang, that he can't turn his brain around.

He found that today's ape-men have no foresight and are not flexible in thinking. Taking this matter as an example, Wang Yang actually achieved his goal and took away all the chestnuts.

But the adult was still cheerful and felt that he had no loss.

Wang Yang was speechless, feeling like he was facing a group of children who didn't understand anything, but the other person's face was covered with wrinkles and the passage of time was hidden in his deep-set eyes.

It can be summed up in two words: it hurts.

Then he ran to the other adults, quietly opened it, and found that many of them had hidden nuts, including his parents.

He was so depressed that he finally tried his best to trick him. When he turned around, he saw that each of his friends was holding a pile of chestnuts and gnawing wildly. The after-dinner snacks were so delicious...

"This this……"

Wang Yang felt something bad in his heart. Why was it that in just one day, chestnuts were flying all over the sky?

He didn't bother to collect the desserts from his friends and ran to the deepest part of the cave to take a look.

I saw that two of the three wooden barrels were intact, while the other one had been torn apart!

He quickly ran over to take a look and found that the barrel had not been forcibly destroyed, but that they had unknowingly found a way to open it, and a small part of the chestnuts had been taken away.

In an instant, Wang Yang's eyes turned red and he was furious. He turned around, waved his hands and cursed loudly.

"You losers, I%—#¥#"

Everyone was startled by the sudden roar. Seeing Wang Yang jumping around, they couldn't help but look at each other, not quite understanding.

Seeing this, Wang Yingying held a dozen chestnuts in her small hands, ran to Wang Yang, stretched out her hands and blinked at him, as if to say: "I'm not full yet, I still have some."

Wang Yang wanted to cry but had no tears.

(I accidentally caught a cold. Please be careful.)
