Chapter 21 Ceiling Level

In the morning, Martin returned from his routine exercise and continued to go to Carter's house for dinner. As soon as he arrived at the door of the yard, he heard the sound of quarrels coming from the open door.

"I'm the daddy of you losers!" Scott Carter's voice sounded like a truck horn: "Who can I go to if I don't have money to go to you losers? Should I go to your damn mother? Harris, don't

You're hiding like a coward. You used the cassette last time and you still owe me $20."

Harris said: "I didn't use your cassette, and I don't owe you 100% money."

"This is 10 dollars!" Elena slapped the 10 dollars on the table and said with a cold face: "You can go!"

Scott picked up the money, turned around and left. When he went out, he saw Martin. The momentum suppressed by Elena suddenly increased: "Asshole, I heard that you made money? You also bought a car? You owe me money, what?

When is the time yet?"

Martin was confused: "Are you out of your mind?"

Elena came out of the door and punched the door with a bang.

Scott hurriedly left, saying as he walked: "How did I raise a bunch of trash like you?"

Elena turned around and went back, pretending she didn't hear anything.

Martin was thick-skinned and followed him to have breakfast without any embarrassment.

Hall came over and suggested: "You should break his nose."

Martin sat at the dining table and said: "He is your father. If I beat him and he takes the initiative to find a children's institution and send you and Lily to foster care, guess what will happen?"

Hall was silent.

Lily answered: "We will never see you again."

"Shut up!" Elena yelled: "Come over for breakfast."

After breakfast, Lily and Hall, a pair of idiots, went to school, while Harris went back to his room to review his homework.

Elena put away the table and pointed at Martin's neck: "Injured?"

Martin shrugged: "It was scratched." He took out the check and handed it over: "Your reward."

Elena's eyebrows flew up when she saw the number above: "800 US dollars! Oh, that's a lot!"

Martin gave another check to Elena: "Give this $200 to Monica, don't mention the number you got. By the way, on Wednesday afternoon, I plan to have a backyard party to celebrate, and I invited a few

Friends and colleagues, please invite a few more friends over."

Elena responded: "No problem, I promise to find a group of activists for you."

She packed up, picked up a bag, and asked, "Is this going to be okay? Send me to the supermarket."

Martin took out his car keys and drove to the backyard next door. He drove not far out of the community and passed a lottery shop. Elena stopped and wanted to buy lottery tickets.

"Shall I buy one for you?" she asked.

Martin took out the money and handed it over: "Choose whatever you want."

Elena quickly bought the lottery ticket and gave the ticket stub to Martin: "I hope you have shit luck."

Martin put it away and asked: "Have you always insisted on buying it?"

Elena carefully put away the ticket stub: "In this situation of the Carter family, the only possibility of getting better is to win the lottery jackpot."

She suddenly looked exhausted: "I also want idiot Harris to go to a good university, and idiot Lily and trash Hall to go to a private school, but what can I do? I don't know anything!"

Martin drove the car, thought for a while, and said: "Learn the same skill and find a job with a stable income. If you want to learn, I can teach you bartending."

Elena lacks self-confidence: "I'm stupid."

Martin encouraged: "I'm not smart either."

"That's right!" Elena understood: "If an idiot like you can learn it, I'll definitely have no problem with it."

Martin dropped off Elena, considered what he needed for the party, and went to the supermarket to do some shopping.

Then I found Kelly Gray's business card, went to the Marietta Library, used a public computer, and checked related information on the Internet.

Gray Film and Television Company has an official website.

Kelly Gray is 31 years old and comes from a wealthy family. The Gray Film and Television Production Company under her name is not large in scale, but it cooperates with many cable TV stations.

In addition, Kelly Gray worked in Hollywood for four years after graduating from the University of Southern California.

As far as the people Martin has a real relationship with, Kelly Gray is considered a ceiling-level existence.

Martin's personal experience tells him that connections are the key to success.

The first step with Kelly Gray was good, and of course Martin would not let it go.

When he got home, he found an excuse, thought about it again, and called Kelly Gray.
