Chapter 82 New Plan
"Damn it!" Vincent cursed.
No matter how many times Vincent made repeated movements or repeated the spell several times, he could not feel the presence of magic.
"Martin, your feeling is wrong." Vincent said giving up trying.
Martin saw Vincent's frown and encouraged him: "You can try a few more times."
"Hey, forget it." Vincent lamented: "It's almost dawn, we need to rest, Martin."
"Inspector Louis and Miss Ruili will replace us tomorrow." Vincent slumped on the chair tiredly and drank the last bit.
Martin walked over slowly, thinking as he walked, he felt that Vincent seemed to be hiding something from him.
Martin asked: "Vinson, do you have any new plans for tomorrow?"
"I..." Vincent suddenly stopped talking.
Martin looked at Vincent's eyes carefully and said, "Hey, you must be hiding something from me, right?"
Vincent regretted telling Martin what happened tonight. He should have taken him upstairs to rest early. He was already very tired tonight.
In the mood of wine, I drank a few drinks and talked a few more words, but I didn't expect that Martin would notice it.
"You may not come with me." Vincent put down his glass and said, "Otherwise you will meet the person you hate the most."
"Annoying person? That stinky dwarf?" Martin thought for a while and asked.
Vincent nodded and said, "Yes, I don't think you will see him."
Martin was pacing the house at the moment, but Walter Lu didn't want to see him for a minute. If it weren't for the murder, he would never have followed Vincent there.
"Okay, I can lower my profile and go see him." Martin stopped and said, "As long as his foul mouth doesn't pollute the air, I won't argue with him."
"Are you sure?" Vincent questioned Martin's attitude.
"Of course." Martin shrugged and said, "I want to cooperate happily. Didn't he say before that the case information can be shared."
"He is just talking." Vincent said: "He may be in sleep now. He has not investigated anyone and has no results."
"Then why doesn't he just get out?" Martin asked angrily.
"You have to go to his boss and Inspector Louis about this matter. Maybe he can help." Vincent remembered what Chris said in the hotel room a few days ago - in New Orleans, you
You should call me sir.
Vincent recalled this sentence as if it was yesterday. He also hoped that Walter Lu would get out of the house as soon as possible. A guy who was just enjoying his success would actually point fingers at his superiors.
Vincent replied: "Tell him to get out? This is not the ending I want."
"What?" Martin looked at Vincent in confusion and said, "What ending do you want?"
"Nothing." Vincent put the words on his lips, considering that he was now a student of Father Cavendish and needed to maintain his words and deeds.
"Hey, how come you have learned how to whet your appetite? Who did you learn it from?" Martin said: "It must have been taught to you by the commander. He must be worried about your big mouth."
"may be."
Vincent glanced at Martin, replied helplessly, turned around and walked up the stairs, and then walked very lightly. He didn't want to wake up Mir.
Martin looked at Vincent's back and muttered: "He has changed so much that I don't recognize him anymore."
Then Martin turned his head and looked down at Mir who was sleeping soundly on the floor and said: "My sir, what can you teach me? You can teach him magic, teach him how to pursue girls, but you have to teach him what to say."
Martin sighed deeply, then followed Vincent's footsteps and walked into the room on the second floor.
When Mir felt that the house was quiet, he slowly sat up and stretched out a hand to hold the wine bottle under his legs.
He supported the floor with his other hand and tried to stand up. Because he was lying on his side in the same position, one of his legs felt sore and numb.
When Mir stood up, the soreness and numbness became more and more intense. He had to bend his waist and stand on tiptoes, freeing one hand to gently hold the sofa forward without making any faint sound.
After going through all kinds of hardships, Mir finally sat on Vincent's chair. He leaned on the back of the chair and let out a long breath.
After a few minutes, his legs recovered, so he raised his head, stared at the dull sky outside the window, and fell into thinking.
He was thinking about what Vincent and Martin's new plan was. Since Vincent mentioned Walter Rue, he thought that they would most likely go to the New Orleans Hotel to investigate tomorrow.
Tomorrow, he was not sure whether he would be able to escape the care of Chris and Riley, and there was a high probability that Matilda would follow.
He needed to find a way, even if he just took a few glances at the New Orleans Hotel, he could find out what Walter Rue had been doing these two days.
And there was the man in the kitchen that Paulina was talking about, a man who never showed up. He wanted to know if this man would appear in the kitchen tomorrow.
By this time, it was already dawn, and the chirping of birds near the house gave Mir a headache and even interrupted his meditation.
He looked at Paulina's door from a distance. He did hear the door closing last night, but now, Paulina's door was open.
"Did Vincent not close the door?" he said to himself.
He looked carefully again, and there was no sign of anyone outside the door or in the windows, not even around the house.
However, he began to suspect that a ghost had accidentally broken into Paulina's house. This ghost should be the guy who had contact with Paulina.
Martin and Vincent had already gone to the room to investigate. He couldn't imagine what the ghost would do in the room, or whether the ghost was looking for Paulina.
He seemed to feel the presence of the ghost, but he was not sure where it was. Sometimes it seemed to be beside him, sometimes it seemed to be far away.
He clearly saw the door being closed. This scene shocked Mir so much that he stood up restlessly.
He wanted to open the door and rush to Paulina's house. If the ghost was really there, it meant that Paulina was back in the house.
During the conversation between Vincent and Martin, it was impossible not to notice that the door to the opposite room was open, and his thick eyebrows suddenly frowned.
He suddenly imagined that the ghost should appear the moment after Martin and Vincent went upstairs, but before he got up.
