Chapter 10: Debate

"Taoism is about to perish", as the name suggests.

"Zhuang Zhou does not lead" means that Meng Zhong accused Zhuang Zhou of not establishing the ultimate virtue.

Tree means erecting, which means erecting the ultimate virtue in contemporary times.

For example, Zhuangzi once said in his works that Song Rongzi "is still a tree", just like his evaluation of Huizi. Even though it is a sage like Song Zi and Huizi who are respected by the world, Zhuangzi still feels that they are not outstanding enough and thinks that they can actually do better.

However, I am afraid that Zhuangzi never expected that one day someone would accuse him of "not being able to "bring". What's more important is that this arrogant boy also threw out another bomb "Taoism is about to perish" and deliberately blamed him for the crime of "Taoism is about to perish" on him "Zhuang Zhou is not being able to perish".

"Taoism is about to perish", "Zhuang Zhou will not lead", Meng Zhong threw two bombs in one sentence, even if it was Zhuangzi, he could not be treated calmly. After all, to be serious, Meng Zhong was already slandering Zhuangzi and corrupting his reputation.

If it were someone else, I would probably have been furious and scolded "the arrogant man" or "the boy is arrogant" or "the boy is arrogant" after all, but Zhuangzi is a Taoist sage who emphasizes "Tao follows nature" and "clear and inaction" and can finally control his emotions.

Of course, the more important reason is that Zhuangzi cannot speak, or does not want to speak.

In "Xu Wugui" written by Zhuangzi, it can be explained.

According to the "Xu Wugui", after Zhuangzi's confidant Huizi (Hui Shi) passed away, Zhuangzi went to attend the funeral. After passing by Huizi's cemetery, he turned around and said to the people who followed him: "In the past, there was a craftsman in Ying, Chu. When he and his companion "Stone" made a house for man, a drop of mud as big as a fly wing was splashed on the tip of his nose, and asked his companion "Stone" to cut it off for him. So the craftsman stone waved his axe and chopped it down casually, completely cutting off the small drop of mud, and his nose was not damaged at all. From beginning to end, the Ying man stood without changing his face.

Later, when the monarch of Song (Song Yuanjun) heard about this, he called the name "Shi" and asked for a performance. However, Shi said, "I could use it to be cut because of my companion, but my companion had long been dead!"

Zhuangzi used this fable to express his feelings that "Since Huizi passed away, I have no opponent to compete with! There is no one to argue with him!", and within twenty years since Huizi passed away, he has been delighted to the guests in a closed door and never spoke again.

Will the silence that has been silent for nearly twenty years break the precept today because of Meng Zhong’s words?

Thinking of this, the people watching secretly in the corner of the courtyard also forgot Meng Zhong’s shocking words just now, and they all stared at Zhuangzi intently, wanting to see if Zhuangzi would "break the achievements" because of Meng Zhong's words. If Zhuangzi was really inspired by Meng Zhong, Meng Zhong might become famous all over the world immediately.

But unfortunately, Zhuangzi didn't seem to have the intention to speak. He just looked at Meng Zhong with a crutch, with a bit of scrutiny.

Meng Zhong looked back at Zhuangzi without fear, without retreating at all.

"What should I do now?"

In the corner of the side, Xiang Liao raised his hand and wiped the cold sweat from his forehead with his sleeve, and asked his companion next to him in a trembling tone.

I have to say that he was also ashamed of his "timidity" - it was Meng Zhong who was so brave that he humiliated Zhuangzi, so why did he not change his temperament? On the contrary, he, an irrelevant person who was watching, was so scared that he was sweating like a slurry?

It was not until he saw Hua Hu, Mu Wu, Le Jin, Le Xu and others all turned pale, that he felt a little relieved: he was far more than him who was scared.

"I... don't know."

Le Jin swallowed, shook his head and answered Xiang Liao in a low voice, and then subconsciously turned his gaze to Meng Sui.

The only one who can be calm in this fashion is Meng Sui, except for Wu Ying who slept in the house. Although Meng Sui also had various concerns on his face, his expression was obviously much better than Xiang Liao and others.

Therefore, Xiang Liao and Le Jin suspected that what happened today might be Meng Zhong’s “planned for a long time”.

The owner watching the side was so nervous, let alone Meng Zhong, who was the person involved?

Although Meng Zhong tried his best to try to show a light expression, and even tried his best to add a few sarcastic meanings to the faint smile to continue to stir Zhuangzi's anger, he was always looked at by Zhuangzi without saying a word, which also put him under great psychological pressure.

"What would he do? Was he brushing his sleeves with anger on his face, or was he knocking my head with that cane?"

Meng Zhong, who seemed calm, couldn't help but think about the possible reaction of Zhuangzi.

As for knocking his head with a crutch, this is not his random thought. After all, in modern times, elders are qualified to teach a lesson to the younger generation who disrespects themselves - Meng Hu is often knocked on the forehead by his grandfather Meng Hu.

But what was somewhat unexpected to Meng Zhong was that Zhuangzi had no abnormal movements for nearly ten days since then, but just simply looked at Meng Zhong.

"Ah... Zhuangzi is worthy of being a Taoist sage. He still held back when he heard that sentence and kept silent. What should he do now?"

Meng Zhong secretly felt a little headache.

After all, if Zhuangzi doesn't speak, it will be difficult for him to continue his follow-up words - could he talk to himself and explain the reason for saying that to Zhuangzi? This is too embarrassing.

However, what Meng Zhong didn't know was that Zhuangzi also felt a little tricky at this moment.

As Meng Zhong judged, given his perseverance and asking Zhuangzi again and again, although Zhuangzi ignored him every time, as many times, Zhuangzi naturally "remembered" this annoying boy in his heart.

Today, this annoying boy became even more violent and dared to say to him that "Taoism is about to perish because Zhuang Zhou does not lead" - is this boy cursing that Taoism is dead? Is he called him the name? Is he accused him of "untreated"?

It's really hateful!

According to the usual rules, Zhuang Zhou had to ask Meng Zhong why he made such a "judgment". If Meng Zhong had no basis and just spoke nonsense, then he would teach this son a lesson again - this is reasonable and convinced.

But the problem is that he can't speak.

Do you really want to break the verbal verbal verbal that has lasted for nearly twenty years for this kid?

If you think about it carefully, Zhuang Zhou felt that this was not worth it-he didn't think that the boy named Meng Zhong in front of him was worth it.

What’s more important is that he does not want to be the “stepstone” for this abominable boy to become famous. Once he speaks at this time, his son will definitely become famous immediately. When people mention the boy in the future, they will think of him: This is a person who even Zhuangzi can’t help but speak!

Yes, he Zhuang Zhou had no reason to do that.

But what should we do next? Could it be that Zhuang Zhou, who is just standing here with a young man with a young man, stares at him?

And at this moment, Zhuang Bo's scolding suddenly sounded in the courtyard: "Meng Zhong!"

Hearing Zhuang Bo's voice, Zhuangzi and Meng Zhong secretly breathed a sigh of relief: Finally, they could continue.

After the two of them were secretly relieved, they saw Zhuang Bo walking to Zhuangzi from a distance, looking at Meng Zhong and said angrily: "Meng Zhong, you are so rude! How dare you be so rude to your Master?"

Although Zhuang Bo was criticized sharply, Meng Zhong secretly thanked Zhuang Bo for appearing in time, because he found that his "shocking words" were not enough to force Zhuang Zi to speak up with him. If Zhuang Bo did not appear, then he would have to stalemate in the middle of this journey and evolved towards Zhuang Zi and him.

As for Mr. Zhuang's accusations against him, he didn't care much, after all, he had already thought about the words.

He bowed to Zhuang Bo and said seriously: "Bo Zhuang's words are wrong. Benevolence, righteousness, etiquette and virtue are Confucian thoughts. This place is the residence of Master Zhuang, and Master Zhuang is a Taoist sage. Therefore, the boy thought that we should first talk about "reason" and then talk about etiquette... What does Master think?" He asked Zhuang Zhou.

Upon hearing this, Zhuang Bo could not refute, so he turned around and asked Zhuangzi what he meant.

Similarly, when Zhuang Zhou also heard Meng Zhong's words, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes.

Because Meng Zhong was right, Taoism advocated "morality" and "reason", while Confucianism paid attention to benevolence, righteousness, etiquette and number. In this courtyard, Meng Zhong first discussed the truth and then etiquette. This is true.

So he closed his eyes slightly and nodded.

After getting Zhuangzi's approval, Zhuang Bo also nodded, turned around and said to Meng Zhong with strong dissatisfaction: "Okay, then let's talk about your truth first. Why do you dare to say that Taoism is about to perish? It's because Zhuangzi doesn't have a tree?"

Meng Zhonggong bowed and said seriously: "Taoist thought originated from the ancient times and was greatly accomplished by Lao Tzu. Lao Tzu gathered the great wisdom of ancient sages and summarized the Taoist essence, thus forming the Taoist theory of inaction and all-in-one. He believed that it would definitely become the supreme treasure art in the future, inherited from generation to generation, and benefited from later generations. However, although Zhuang Master Zhuang was praised as the number one Taoist since Lao Tzu, he only cared about his own escape from the world and was unwilling to teach and resolve Taoist thoughts. In the long run, if Taoism loses its inheritance, how could it not perish?...If Taoism died because of this, is his sin "all in Zhuang Zhou"? Since all the sins are in Zhuang Zhou, the boy bluntly said that "Zhuang Zhou is not a tree", how could he be wrong?"

"this……"

Zhuang Bo was speechless and subconsciously looked at Zhuang Zhou and asked for advice from the latter.

After seeing Meng Zhong deeply, Zhuang Zhou raised his right hand to point his mouth, pointed to the sky, and then shook his head. Then, he pointed to the sky again, pointed to his ear, and shook his head for the second time.

Both Meng Zhong and the people watching were confused by this action. However, Zhuang Bo is worthy of being an old man who has served in front of Zhuangzi for decades. Only he understood Zhuangzi's meaning and said to Meng Zhong: "I will convey the Master's meaning, and the Master said, "There is no question to the Tao, no response to the question."

"The Tao has no questions, no response?"

Meng Zhong wrinkled and pondered these words carefully, and the more he thought about it, the more profound he felt.

But no matter what, he could not retreat at this time. If Zhuangzi could not be spoken today and Zhuang and Bo were speechless, he might be expelled back to his family.

His advantage is that Zhuangzi took into account his identity and still did not want to speak up with him. He only used his actions to guide Zhuang Bo to debate with him.

In this case, Meng Zhong thought he could win!
