Chapter 126 Get better

Two high-concentration energy beams emitted by Eric and Tony intertwined together, slapped Killian's body against the wall like a torrent. The raging energy washed away from him, his flesh was melting and his muscles were decomposing, but his expression was still ferocious, and his mouth still refused to stop his final shout.

"You are a useless man! Stark!" Killian struggled to fight against the energy beam that was impacting his body, but was slapped back to the wall again and again. His hot body gradually began to melt the wall. "You are a murderer, and you don't even dare to accept the facts!"

"You are you, Killian, who dares not accept the facts." Tony said lightly, "You are the one who was eliminated by history."

"No!"

Killian roared unwillingly, but it was useless. The energy beam pierced through the wall. Killian, wrapped in the flames, broke through the wall like a shattered destruction, rolling and landing in a ruin, leaving a huge charred hole in his chest, his eyes wide open, and finally there was no movement.

The smoke and dust settled, Tony's house was already full of holes and seemed to need a thorough renovation. Flames enveloped half of the house, the wreckage of luxury cars flew everywhere, and Mars were flying around.

Eric unleashed the normal armored mode and breathed a sigh of relief: "It's finally over now... It's so tiring."

Tony was silent for a while before speaking, "No... it's not over yet. The worst thing left."

When he turned around, Dr. Maya Hansen was leaning carefully against the wall and groping in through the choking black smoke.

"Dr. Maya Hansen, now I think of you." Tony said lightly, "We do seem to have met... that night in Switzerland."

"I'm so glad you still remember."

"I don't think it's so happy at all." I don't know if it was because of the mechanical treatment, his voice seemed extremely cold. "You said Aldridge Killian stole the desperate virus and leaked it to a group of terrorists... But this is not his own behavior, right? He has an accomplice."

Maya was silent and looked at him quietly.

"Thank you for your virus upgrades. Now my new armor can connect to all networks around the world," Tony said. "I know everything."

Maya turned her head.

"The military has withdrawn the funds provided to you, you have no experiments, and you have no money, even though you have found a way. So you decided to arrange an experiment yourself... to leak the desperate situation to the terrorists. Then you contacted me because I have the skills of Iron Man, and you hope I can settle the mess of your desperate situation."

"Do you know what they say about the atomic bomb?" Maya spoke out unexpectedly. "In order to avoid using the atomic bomb due to anger, it must be used once due to anger... let the world see the consequences of it."

She sighed lightly.

"The Desperate Virus is such a thing, it can become an extremely dangerous weapon," she said. "After getting new sponsorship, I will stop developing weapons with new funds. I will start my own dream, medical technology, if the Desperate Technology is used in this field, it can save countless lives."

She raised her head again and looked straight at Iron Man's helmet, clearly seeing her reflection from the golden armor.

"There is no difference between us, Tony. You are no better than me."

"You're right, Maya," Tony said lightly, "but as my friend just said-I'm trying to get better. At least when I wake up in the morning, I can look in front of myself in the mirror."

The message Natasha brought back seemed to have reached, and ASCHD sent someone to clean up the mess after a moment. It seemed that they were quite interested in the technology of desperate situations. Finally, Killian, who had been confirmed to have died, and several desperate situation soldiers who fell into the water, were recycled by them, including Maya Hansen, who was also taken away by them.

This time, everything finally seemed to be over.

However, Tony's house was over, and Eric couldn't help but feel sorry for such a beautiful house. Although such a little money should not be considered a big deal for Stark, who is rich.

Tony took off his armor and stood on the edge of the cliff of his house. He looked at the white waves and tried to climb up the cliff again and again, and was out of the way.

"About what you just said... do you really think that way?" As Eric approached him, Tony turned his back to him suddenly asked.

"Which sentence?" Eric asked.

“The part that says I’m trying to be a better person.”

"Ah, of course," Eric said, "that's the person you are, Tony Stark - a scientist tomorrow."

Tony pondered for a moment and said, "But recently people have been reminding me... that I have to start recalling some things from the past. I started thinking, maybe I did commit a lot of sins, maybe my hands are really stained with too much blood."

“Many manufacturers in the world make pistols, but no one blames them for being guilty.”

"That's different." Tony smiled bitterly.

"That's the same." Eric retorted, "It's that simple. People who are poisoned by war need a gap to vent, a target to release their anger, that's it. You're just a pistol builder, not a killer pulling the trigger. Guns can indeed be used to kill people, but they can also save lives."

"Like Iron Man." Tony whispered to himself.

"Like Iron Man." Eric also said.

After another moment of silence, Tony smiled softly.

"To be honest, the things I made are much more advanced than pistols." He said half-jokingly, paused and turned, "By the way your armor...had I copied my repulsive beam just now?"

"Ah, I'm still very clear about this part of the ability," said Eric. "Sometimes, when certain conditions are met, it seems to be able to replicate new abilities...but it will only be effective for a while."

"Copying capability? Is technology OK?"

"It's probably similar, I don't know the specifics. I guess superpowers or weapons techniques are OK." Eric shrugged, "You know, I didn't get any instructions or anything like that... I now know that this thing is not even prepared for me. It was developed by my father for him, and I just happened to be able to use it."

"I've heard of Dr. Charlotte, too." Tony paused, and then said seriously, "Listen, if you have anything to help... I and the Avengers will do our best to help you."

"I know." Eric nodded, "Thank you, but this is my own business, and I still try my best to solve it myself."
