Chapter 2 Buddhism loves to practice

In the blink of an eye, the second year was still in charge of cleaning work, but more studies were made. In addition to studying scriptures, he also had to recite Confucian classics. As the person became smaller, his mind seemed to be more intelligent. He learned well, and his master was very pleased.

In the spring, the abbot came out of seclusion, looked through the calendar and looked at the days. With an order, the whole temple went to the farmland and the medicine garden to sow seeds together. It was a very important thing to do for a whole year. Qin Kong, a kid in the city, had never done farm work, and then followed his senior brother with a small hoe to dig a hole. Although he was tired, he was very happy. He couldn't help singing a song he liked very much in his previous life. He was too selfless. He didn't notice that he hummed: "The tears in his palm are so hot that he only wanted for you for three lives, and the fallen flowers are all over the sky and smell the fragrance of the piano, wandering with you in the world. If love is too desolate, I will accompany you to dream of redeem all your tears...Oh!" He was hit hard on his butt.

When I turned around, I was shocked to see that my master was having a dark face: "I forgot the Buddhist land in a pure place?" Well, the novice precepts stipulate that monks should stay away from singing and dancing, and singing is a violation of the precepts.

Qin Kong turned his head and saw that everyone present looked at him in surprise. Oh no, he was so proud.

At this time, the third senior brother came over and smiled: "It's okay, the younger brother sang it very nicely."

The old monk Fuguang was looking at his little disciple's pitiful little appearance and was reluctant to take action. He happened to have a punching bag. He raised his hand and greeted the third disciple: "Tell me, are you from the ignorant disciple?"

"It's unfair." The third senior brother was unwilling to be beaten for nothing, and shouted and avoided.

The old monk wanted to chase him again, but Qin Kong hugged him tightly. He only said that he heard someone singing when he was very young and it was not related to the third senior brother's business, so he gave up.

Qin Kong thought the episode had ended, but he didn't see the master's worried look.

After the spring plowing was over, everyone relaxed. The master discussed with the abbot all night and called Qin Kong in front of him the next day.

"Yu Xing, you are born with extraordinary intelligence. The master has obtained the abbot's consent and asked you to practice internal skills in advance." The old monk coughed awkwardly, took out a booklet without a cover from his arms and handed it over: "This technique is the best foundation-building method. Come, let me teach you how to recognize your pulse first."

Qin Kong's eyes lit up when he heard the word "internal skills". He had seen his senior brother practice martial arts. He had just waited for a while and wanted to learn it for a long time. Unfortunately, the temple rules were only eight years old to practice martial arts, so he could only envy him. When he thought of learning internal skills in advance, he was only excited in his heart. No matter how much he cares about the rest, he couldn't see the strange expression on his master's face, so he took it excitedly.

In this way, the martial arts he first came into contact with was called the Wuming Heart Sutra. It was not until many years later that he realized that his master had deceived him. The so-called Wuming Heart Sutra has a very good name, "Boy Zi Su Heart Sutra", which is also called "Tian Chan Boy Gong"...

When he first entered the temple, he always clamored to return to secular life and go down the mountain in the future. Naturally, his master did not dare to let him know what kind of skill this was, so he tore off the covers. However, when he learned the truth, he had already recognized the monk's identity and was used to the life of always accompanying the green lamp. He smiled and didn't care.

-----------------------------------

All conditioned phenomena are like dreams, illusions, bubbles, shadows, dew and lightning. They should be viewed in this way.

Qin Kong had completely integrated into the life of the temple when he was seven years old. He also learned to meditate. I don’t know if it was because he was still moving or his stomach had adapted. He felt that he was not as hungry as before. This year, life in the temple remained unchanged, and the abbot was still in seclusion. The only good news was that because of his internal skills, he finally had his own meditation room. Although he was young, he no longer had to endure the shocking snoring of his second senior brother.

At the age of eight, I practice standing stance first, and then mastering fist. These alone are enough to practice for two years every day. Practicing martial arts is very hard, and I must be tired at first, but later I gradually adapted.

The year was not good, and the grain production in the back mountain was reduced. The abbot finally walked out of the Zen room and led the eldest brother down the mountain for two months, bringing back a truck of grain and groceries. But the two were not happy and were injured. Later, according to the eldest brother, the whole north was severely drought, and many people could not survive, and uprisings occurred everywhere. However, the source of the grain was not mentioned, and only ordered these junior brothers to strengthen the defense in the temple, especially to be careful of the people in the government. After hearing this, the third uncle sharpened the sword and the atmosphere in the temple was once very tense. Perhaps the Tianchan Temple was too remote and there was no major event that Qin Kong was worried about.

Since then, the elder brother went down the mountain more frequently, sometimes for several months. Every time he came back, he felt that there seemed to be a little cold and harsh on him. Generally, when the elder brother returned, he would go to the abbot and master just to say hello, and then lock himself in the meditation room and recite scriptures. After a few days, he would return to his usual smile.

When Qin Kong was nine years old, he had to spend half an hour every day to learn Sanskrit with the abbot, which allowed him to experience the fear of being dominated by foreign languages again. In order to relieve the pressure of his studies, he insisted that his third senior brother secretly learn to play the pipa, and did not dare to let the master see it, so he could only practice quietly in the woods behind the mountain. During that time, every evening, the animals in the back mountain were not clean...

Before the autumn harvest, the eldest brother brought back a message. It turned out that there were more than 7 of them in Tianchan Temple. The abbot also had a disciple who had been with him since childhood. A year before Qin Kong entered the temple, he secretly ran down the mountain to participate in the uprising army. As a result, the senior brother who was not able to see him died in a battle before the New Year. After several twists and turns, the eldest brother only brought back a string of bloody Buddhist beads. Although he looked young, the abbot was old after all, and vomited blood on the spot.

It was not until the second year that he was recovering, and his health improved slightly. The abbot dragged his sick body to continue teaching Sanskrit, and the requirements were stricter and even more harsh. Qin Kong silently accepted it without complaints. After that, his Sanskrit study never stopped and he also watched the abbot grow old with his own eyes.

Practicing internal skills at the age of six, practicing boxing at the age of eight, and starting to learn Arhat stick technique at the age of ten, may be really talented. Qin Kong's practice of martial arts is amazing. I have to say that practicing is really fascinating. When practicing internal skills, he feels his meridians grow little by little, and the comfort of internal strength wandering on his body is really addictive. In addition, practicing boxing, if you develop the habit, you will feel uncomfortable all over if you don't practice it a few times. Inevitably, Qin Kong became the most diligent person in the temple to practice martial arts.

Master Fu Guang was not very satisfied. He didn't want this little disciple to be a simple monk. Logically speaking, Qin Kong has been studying Buddhism for many years, and he has a very good memory. He can answer any scripture that asks, but he always feels that he lacks spirituality.

After learning about this situation, the abbot asked Qin Kong to reduce his time to practice martial arts and make time to copy scriptures. So he practiced a few rounds of boxing and baubles after morning class and quickly worked. After finishing his work, he hurried to the Sutra Library, cleans his hands and burns incense, and kneels down in front of the desk to copy scriptures carefully.

This writing took several years, and it took countless pieces of paper to spend. I don’t know how the progress of Buddhism is yet to be known, but I have practiced the handwriting and calligraphy.

The copying of scriptures was a lot of money, but the elder brother, who was in charge of money, tried his best to satisfy him. Later, Qin Kong's scriptures copied in beautiful small regular script were collected by him and brought them with him when he went down the mountain. It is said that they were sold in the city... No, they were very popular with the believers in the city, and the previous expenses were nothing.

In a blink of an eye, the little novice monk in Qin Kong was fifteen years old, and his main energy was shifted from copying scriptures to practicing martial arts. Two years ago, his foundation-building internal skills were already in a little while, and he began to practice the body-refining method of "Bodhi Jade Body and Glazed Practice" awarded by the abbot.

It is worthy of being the best Buddhist technique. After practicing for more than a year, he will benefit from it. At this time, his body looks like a thin young man, but his strength has exceeded that of his third senior brother who has been practicing martial arts for many years. As he grows older, he has also worked more. In recent years, he has been exposed to cleaning, sewing, scrubbing, cooking, splitting materials, carrying water and farming, identifying medicinal materials, and even carpenter work. He is really an all-around monk in ancient life.

The overall change in his practice life is not great. He practices martial arts in the morning, works in the afternoon, meditates in the afternoon, and meditates in the evening. Gradually, he grows into a gentle and gentle boy and monk with a smile on his eyebrows and a gentle jade.

It was also this year that after the third senior brother Yuankong knelt in front of the master's Zen room for a day and a night, the master finally let him go and returned to secular life. The day before he went down the mountain, he gave Qin Kong the pipa and the hidden snacks. Several senior brothers gathered together to chat a lot. That night, Qin Kong was not sleeping, and he watched the lonely figure paced in the yard under the moonlight with red eyes, round after circle.

Early the next morning, the third senior brother finally rubbed his younger brother's round bald head, and he laughed and left.

The second senior brother was very sad. Originally, he told his good friends that they would become Buddhas together for the rest of their lives, but the traitor became depressed for a while and still let them go. The two of them communicated frequently later and they should have made peace as before.
