Chapter 3 Ordination
The next year, maybe I felt that the popularity of the temple was not very good. The eldest brother went down the mountain for a little longer this time, and when he came back, he brought back six small radish heads, the oldest was ten years old and the youngest was only eight years old. The second brother had no time to accept disciples, and Qin Kong was not qualified enough, so these children could only be taken back by the eldest brother.
After choosing an auspicious day to ordain these children, these little novice monks became three generations of disciples, the word "Yang". At this point, Tianchan Temple became lively.
On the evening of the day, Qin Kong was tired of sitting in meditation and walked up. As soon as he left the room, he heard a depressed cry. He followed the sound but it came from the clean room. He raised his eyebrows and waited for a while before he saw a thin little shady mu appearing out. "Oh, squatting in the clean room for a long time isn't you really interested?"
The little novice monk was so scared that he didn't dare to move when he heard his voice. The child in front of him was at most ten years old, with a dark and thin face and a little pity for swollen eyes. He was the oldest among the children. He stepped forward and touched the other person's bald head and asked softly, "Shenguo missed home?" He knew that the child was the second son of a salt household on the beach. Because the children at home were too many, he took the initiative to go up the mountain with his senior brother in order to make a living.
When the little novice monk saw that he was kind, he was no longer afraid, but he was still timid. Qin Kong sighed slightly in his heart. Some people wanted to eat, some pray for blessings, and some were to learn skills. No matter the rich and poor, there were always children sent to temples, temples and other places for various reasons. This was inevitable. He also thought of his own experience and felt compassion in his heart.
"Come with me." He led the other party to the Zen room. There was only one bed, a futon and a table in the simple room. He reached out to take a handful of pecans under the bed, crushed them with one hand and handed them over. At this time, food is the best way to comfort me.
Qin Kong smiled at the sweet-eating Shanguo. The temple was very rules, and the people who had just arrived must not be used to it. In order to have a full meal, the good fruit in front of him would never have thought that he would actually go hungry here. Even though he had adapted to the temple for ten years, he had preserved the bad habit of hiding food. When he went to work in the back mountain, he always looked for some food to leave, so that he had these stocks. Then he was stunned again. Did the third senior brother do the same as himself? The method of cause and effect is really wonderful.
Because the eldest brother was not always in the temple, the task of teaching his disciples when he was not here was divided. The second brother taught literature, and Qin Kong also taught these children more martial arts in addition to learning. But he was not a serious person after all, and he was able to be stern in martial arts practice, so he couldn't pretend any time. After a while, he got familiar with him. He liked to come to him and could always get some food to fill his stomach. This junior uncle would tell them some fairy tales he remembered. Sometimes he couldn't remember clearly, so he made up one now. Even if the story was boring, the children would listen with relish and easily satisfied.
During this period, the abbot and other elders and two senior brothers also secretly watched outside the yard, but Xiaoxiao ignored it. Qin Kong saw that these people were children, but he didn't know that in the eyes of his master and senior brother, he was just a minor child...
Although Qin Kong's generation of fellow disciples are all the same master, because his master is a literary monk and his martial arts are not very good, the martial arts of his disciples have their own inheritance.
Since childhood, Senior Brother Yuanfa practiced martial arts with the third master who had not yet practiced Zen. Third master became a monk halfway through and was already a famous knight in the world before he was ordained. Therefore, the senior brother learned a lot, and even some of the methods of the left and right in the world were practiced.
The second and third brothers have become adults when they enter the mountain. The second brother does not like martial arts, and at most they are engaging in their hands and feet when others practice martial arts. The third brother’s martial arts are from family traditions and have a certain level of development. It is difficult to change to practice Buddhist kung fu.
Qin Kong's fists and feet were taught by the elder brother. Internal skills were definitely the true teachings of Tianchan Temple, especially "Bodhi Jade Body Glazed Practice" which was the main practice of the abbot. It was originally passed on to the future abbot. After the disciple died, the abbot sighed and looked at the three melons and two dates in the temple, and simply passed them on. Unfortunately, the elder brother's martial arts has been achieved and he is unwilling to waste his skills and re-educate it. Therefore, Qin Kong is the only two monk in the temple who practices this kind of exercise.
This is an extremely powerful method of practicing both inside and outside. It can be doubled in practice with "Tianchan Boy's Kung Fu". When you start, you can have the power of subduing the tiger. When you practice it to a small success, you will be unable to hurt the sword. When you achieve great success, you can become an indestructible body of Vajra. As for the legendary perfection, it is said that it can reach the realm of the golden body of Buddhism, but unfortunately no one can reach it at present.
When Qin Kong was seventeen years old, he had already practiced this skill to a small success. After getting praise from the elder brother with the other party, he naturally proposed to follow him and take a look.
It's pitiful. A few young novice monks who had been in the temple for a few years were taken to the city by their senior brothers, but he, the uncle, was not even allowed to go to the village at the foot of the mountain. Every time these children came back and talked happily, he could only listen enviously. For more than ten years, he had been facing a bunch of naked brains all day long, and he almost forgot what his hair was like. It would be strange if he didn't grow grass in his heart.
But in recent years, the master saw that he was stricter. This time he was naturally rejected. He was depressed and did not dare to ask others, so he could only secretly find the second senior brother to solve his doubts.
The second senior brother glanced at him strangely, then suddenly realized and said sympathetically: "Amitabha, my junior brother Huixin Che naturally doesn't know the reason. Although monks don't care about this smelly skin, ordinary people are ignorant. If my junior brother looks and figure go down the mountain, it will be a disaster, not a blessing!" Then he sighed and stopped speaking.
Ah? Qin Kong was stunned when he heard the second senior brother's words. He would inevitably see himself in the water when taking a bath and cleansed his face. Since practicing "Bodhi Jade Body and Glazed Art", his skin has become much fair and his face has gradually become familiar to him in his previous life. Although he has no hair, his face is still the same face. He has watched it for many years. Although he is considered a handsome little handsome guy, he can't reach the point of being handsome enough to bring disaster, right? Is it that the aesthetic standards of these ancient monks different from his?
This is the detriment of Zen Buddhism that not telling everything, it is really misunderstood. The master was afraid that he would be seduced by the demons at the foot of the mountain. The most important thing was that the outside world had become a dog-brained person. He was white and had a superb temperament. He was more like a noble young man who became a monk to avoid disaster. Going out was very likely to cause unnecessary disputes. He was afraid of trouble if he didn't let him go down the mountain.
But Qin Kong thought it was a bit out of his mind, thinking that there was something wrong with his aesthetic taste, so when we, the beautiful Qin Kong monk, would sigh at the shadow in the water every morning, and he would be dazed for a moment, which was quite pity for himself. The elder brother asked the reason and sucked in, and explained the master's concerns to him in a laugh and cry, and then he returned to normal.
I knew it was impossible to leave the other person in the temple for a lifetime, but I was really worried about this junior brother who was a little stupid in chanting scriptures. The senior brother began to teach him light skills, hidden weapons and other tricks that have stronger life-saving ability. Qin Kong even learned disguise and a magical ventriloquism.
------------------------------------
Before he knew it, Qin Kong was twenty years old and had already met the conditions for taking the ordination.
When Master mentioned this, Qin Kong showed some resistance. There were 250 monk precepts. If he really accepted it, he would have no fun in his life. How could he have his own way of living?
Finally, the elder brother smiled and enlightened him: "Some precepts should be kept, the rest depends on your original intention." He patted his shoulder with his left hand, but pointed his right hand at the abbot present, and then turned back to himself. Yuanxing realized it and agreed happily, leaving only the master's sigh at the scene.
In March, the senior brother specially invited seven old monks from Laiyun Temple in Lin County. The abbot and other elders were just enough to get the "Three Masters and Seven Certificates". The second and third brothers invited these people at the beginning. Qin Kong, who rarely saw outsiders, was deeply impressed by them. Therefore, the abbot asked him to enter the inner service and respectfully treated the old monks. The other party saw that he was well-mannered and extraordinary in manners, and was all satisfied. He also asked about some Buddhist scriptures and praised him when he answered in a proper manner.
During the ceremony, the old monks came to entertain the elders in the temple, and Qin Kong kept attending them to listen to their Buddhist principles and talk about experiences. However, he secretly thanked that he was in Tianchan Temple. Fortunately, Tianchan Temple belongs to Zen Buddhism. If he accidentally devoted himself to a large temple where rules and regulations are strictly attached to the precepts, forget it, don’t think about it, that would be terrible...
On March 16th, Qin Kong received the full precepts. Originally, the old monk in Yun Temple proposed to burn the head and burn the precepts scars, but the abbot flatly refused: "There is no such provision for the scriptures and laws. What monk Zhide did was voluntarily, and forming rules would damage his body without intention. This is actually a heretic."
Three days later, on the 19th day of the third month, we continued to take the Bodhisattva precepts. At this point, all the great precepts of Qinkong's altars were upheld.
A major event happened during the one-month period. The Mongolians were finally driven away and the Yong Dynasty was established. When the news came, the abbot and his elder brother were particularly excited and went to the foot of the mountain to buy and celebrate. The vegetarian dishes in the temple were of various types and were particularly delicious. Qin Kong finally took off his old monk robe with patches on his body and put on his new clothes.
After the precept period, Qin Kong officially became a monk who practiced Mahayana Buddhism, and had his own certificate of throne and cassock. When he put on the cassock in the earnest eyes of his elders, although he smiled slightly on his face, two tears couldn't help but drip down his face. He knew clearly that the past that lingered in his heart finally became a dream. Since then, Qin Kong has no one in the world, and only one monk left behind, with the Dharma name Yuanxing.
Just when he was so sad that he couldn't extricate himself, he didn't know that his golden finger had arrived quietly.
